Sagan still human.
But what is Borges on? His 3rd big performance this season already. |

Nice try by Umerbekov, but we're facing WT opposition here.
And can someone check ingame if Waeytens was upgraded to 79 hill and not accidentaly downgraded to 77 hill?
Changed my sig, this was getting absurd.

Wow what a stage, that surely didn't look this hard in the preview. I expected a peloton of 80-100 to still be together at the base of the final climb.

Sad to see how Izagirre is completely ignored by AI, performing like average mid 70´s hilly rider. Probably because of his crappy ACC, which is pretty sick tbh.
to admins: do you already know what PCM version will be used in 2018?

The front group now consists of Ginanni, Ponzi, Bakelants, Skuijns, Hagen, Trofimov and Van Garderen.
I wish
Disappointing to see Gastauer shelled out too early. He did enough to keep in touch, and all things considered it was probably a good stage for his Top 10 GC hopes. It's just quite likely now that 10th is as high as he can go too.

It's good to see Le Gac and De Souza both joining breakaways so far and going for the KOM. My hopes for a decent GC result are definitely on the shoulders of Zingle now.

Unlike Sagan, he is an alien
Congrats DD. Superb stage. Bobridge still below par. Less crashes. And we're getting closer to ITT stage!

Thanks guys! Great stage
Ginanni must've had amazing legs. He didn't even bother to attack; just put in a 2km solo to the line dropping everyone like flies. Awesome.
I think I actually like the new Ginanni. He's wildly inconsistent, but the stage wins make up for the lost GC points and it's much more fun this way.
The stage preview is a nice touch Abishek. Good job on the reporting

I guess Sagan got screwed a bit by his team not being strong enough to control things - Which is definately also difficult seeing this many top level puncheurs here.
That said, I don't think (like Roman) that it is necessarily a bad thing to lose the jersey at this time, as it will free up space to attack. Next hilly stage looks tailormade for him. The final stage could be anyones guess - It looks semi mountainous.
Congrats DubbelDekker on a great win here for Ginanni. Fingers are crossed that he will continue to do well

I feel I have to write two things after things after this report...
Firstly, this is one the best stages/classics I've raced for MG so far, if not the best!
Secondly, a small apology to Roman for posting stage 3 almost immediately after he acknowledged the congratulations for stage 2. I saw your post after the stage was already up, and then it was too late!
No worries at all with that, just my bad that I couldn't read your great report earlier. Even was not that bad stage for my team.
And actually you may be right about this SotD. My team depth in hills surely is not the best one. Something to work on in the off-season.

So far so good, but a lot of riders look stronger than Trofimov, so it will be really hard to keep the leaders jersey until the end.

Despite the fact that Zingle is struggling in the GC, I am at least happy that Le Gac has been getting in the breakaway and is leading the KOM. Hopefully my team shows even more!

My man Prevar is doing well! A top 15 would be a good result for us here, and this seems possible, if not likely now.

Perfect stage for us really, since this wasnt supposed to lead to any big gaps. Happy with stage win and the leader jersey. After all these podiums, it was about time for Jan. Being on top of three classifictions is nice atm, hope we can keep one or the other till the end. Thanks Abi. I agreee with tamijo, this is a great race to follow so far. Now I hope for a solid time triaö and then we see whats possible.

Not good. No active racing today, and Mohoric will loose the jersey on the ITT for sure. On the bright side, Navardauskas looks in touch for a possible Top15 which is nice.
Congrats to Shonak!

Happy when this race is over. Came with high expectations, but my 83 puncheur performs like a 81 puncheur this year. Missing out on a Top-7 result in this race.. unacceptable. Guss I should have known after the already disappointing TTT. Gratz to all other stage winners so far though.

That was a great stage from Beltran, being able to be part of the front group and even finding the right wheels in the sprint. They're small points, but at least it's some encouraging racing

If only Beltran listens, this could end very well
And congratulations on the stage win, Shonak! Eventhough Trofimov must fancy his chances to get a solid lead in the TT, it's all set for a thriller on the final stage. Also Bobridge needs to drum up something special on the TT bike if he's going to be more than a statist in this race. Though, he certainly has a chance, as he must be the favourite for the stage win. |

Well he's even doing a decent race aside from that. He's got only 82+ puncheurs ahead of him, so no room for complaints in my eyes!?
