Gotta love PCM's over exaggerated GC riders form, making it worthless to send your TT guys to these races if it wasn't for the TTT. I'm still not sure why I built a TT reliant team tbh.
Nice to see Gesink win this after that low key tour. Gratz alex! Meanwhile, the battle for 2nd place continues!

Decent from EBH, keeping 6th, even with Gesink passing him. Congratulations on the stage win, alexkr00! But now I really want to see EBH go all out on the final hilly stage, as we really want and need that stage win. Could do wonders thinking of the general classification as well.
Hopefully we'll at least keep control of the breakaway, as then our chances of winning the team classification should be good. Fingers crossed for what could be an epic final stage, looking at the fight for the podium places behind Trofimov.
And thank you for the report and the pace they're coming with, trekbmc! |

Not a bad TT by Ginanni actually. C'mon Francesco; own that last stage please!

A stage win is very nice. Now, if only Gesink could hold on to that 5th place

As expected. Nice ride from Bookwalter though. I'll settle for second, but I'm positive TVG has one more attack left in him.

My really bad TTT squad is really costing me here, Sagan has a decent race, but even with a top 10 result in every stage except of TT, he may well finish outside of top 10 after all. Fingers crossed some bigger gaps will appear in the last stage!
Thanks for reports and such a great pace they are coming, trekbmc!

Decent race overall but wank final stage, dropping a fair way down the GC and losing white by 2 bloody seconds. Top work trek, much appreciated.

That was Boasson Hagen making up for a previously bad race, great stuff from the Norwegian...shame for Gesink that stage was...

Argh! Pity to drop off the podium despite another solid result on tthe stage.. guess the TT should had went better, but it wasn't meant to be..
Anyway, we missed a goal, but came away with a few points. Still pissed off by tthe TTT though, not sure how many TTTs we now have NOT won despite being the favorites, since we are in PT. Still remember last year's Giro drama
Thanks for the reports! And Gratz to all who beat Oz

Probably a injury on Meyer after the crash, resulting in him dropping way down, and Juul-Jensen also lost the KoM. So not the greatest day, but good to see Watson in the break. Looked strong, and both he and Juul-Jensen managed a top 30 in the end, so overall a good race for us after entering the race with close to no expectations.
Had bigger hopes for the ITT, but it seems that even though you're just slacking at the back, you have a lot less power than the big guns, who's fighting every day... PCM logic, I guess.
Great win for Boasson Hagen on the last stage, getting him all the way up to 2nd in GC. A good race for ember after all then, after his little TTT blunder. Big congrats to Oleg as well. Trofimov in full control all the way. Dominant.
Thanks for the reports, trekbmc. Great pace and quality.

That was the perfect way to finish the race by EBH! Really happy with that and how he rode the stage, just keeping the pressure up, and finally slipping away from the other favourites to catch the breakaway and get the stage win.
Climbing to second place overall is also great, and admittedly we couldn't have asked for more pre-race, considering this race really is perfect for Trofimov. Congratulations on the overall win, OlegTinkov!
Kind of a pity to see us miss out on the team classification due to the breakaway, but seeing what EBH gave us in the final stage, we'll happily take it.
And thank you again for the reports, trekbmc. It has been a great race to follow! |

We came for two stagewins and a top 15+ a top 25. We Got a stagewin, a 2nd place an 18th GC and another around 30. Not quite What we hoped, but close enough!
We lose a bit of Ground on Becherovka I think, but not much. We lose quite a bit to Aker however. They are dangerous in terms of the PT standings.

Fuck it...i am ready to sell all TTists next off-season, if Metinvest will continue in the game at all.
Congrats Oleg and thanks for great and fast reporting trek!

Well, I hoped for more from Skujins but I had to expect that it would be difficult with those TTs. I'm the end, I've got a stage win, a 10th place GC finish and a brave show by Marzuki so I can live with it.
A Big Thank You To All MG Reporters!

Wow, what a performance by EBH there.
Not happy on the final stage with Bakelants there, needed to be more aggressive. Just eking into the top 5 is just about the bare minimum I'm OK with, but given he's lost ~2 minutes in the two time trials, I can't be too dissatisfied.

Gotta admit that Ginnani's boring wheelsucking might actually be a pretty smart tactic. The guy sneaked into 6th place GC by consistently finishing in the back of the favourites group. I've been complaining a lot this tour, but I'm content with this result.
Congrats to Tinkoff! EBH had a good try in the last stage, but Trofimov is still very hard to beat in such tours.
And thanks for the reports trek! Very good job.

What an impressive showing by EBH in the final stage, congrats ember!
Trofimov controlled throughout after the first 2 stages. If he races like this all year and the rest of his team delivers too, SotD prediction might end up not being that off in the end!
Eventually if you look at the rankings it doesn't seem like the race was too different compared to how it was predicted to go - except Gesink , I really hope I didn't doom eBuddy with that prediction.
Great reports trek throughout.

Phew, that probably went as good as possible, 8th in GC is surely acceptable and I think Wilco read my post moaning about not being in contention for white
Nice try from Bol in the break, finally we try our luck there. No stage success, but it helped him to a decent GC and especially gave us third in the team rankings.
I just realized that Herklotz must've crashed somewhere pretty early, he's ridiculously far down.
Trofimov, who else (I feel like I said this phrase already...). Congrats oleg, and commiserations to eBuddy, Aegon and BPost who certainly didn't expect to drop that far down anymore.
Thanks for the good reports and great pace trek!
