Grin It'd be nice to also have Charlie Charneux:

First Name: Charlie
Last Name: Charneux
Date of Birth: 31/7/1983
Nationality, Region if applicable: The Netherlands (North Holland)
Specialty: RVV type rider, (Cancellara type But much weaker me minus TT, can sprint and hill but specialises in Cobbles) Roleur if it makes this more simple Pfft
Role: Domestique
FL: 72
MO: 60
HI: 71

PRL: 67
COB: 73
SPR: 70
ACC: 69
DH: 64
FTR: 71
STA: 73
RES: 69
REC: 62
Biography/Character description: Charlie was born in Amsterdam, into a cycling family.

He rode a lot of flat roads and loved riding the cobbled lane near his house, he moved to Luxembourg at the age of 13 and found hills, which didn't quite replace his love of the pavè. A few years later, he saw Ronde van Vlaanderen and how it combined cobblestones and hills.

He impressed in the U23 Tour of Flanders and signed for a pro-continental team at the age of 22, however, he never seemed to reach he full potential and never really proved himself, his dreams to win RVV turned into dreams of a top ten, but even that couldn't be achieved.

Last year waste last year his team would give him co-leadership in the tour of Flanders, he didn't achieve his dream and is nearing decline, he is still uncontested but is ready to pass his support to younger, stronger riders.

Off the bike he is friendly when in a good mood, but in a bad mood he will pick arguments, he is a bit of an introvert.

On the bike he will work to his very limit for a teammate, but still wants to lead. He normally follows orders, unless he has had a disagreement with his manager. And don't expect him to wait for a lead near the end of Ronde can Vlaanderen.

To everyone making a domestique:

We have plenty of strong domestiques, so it would help if you could create some more pure domestiques. If it proves too hard for some of you I'll just go and set stat limits, but for now I trust you.

(I've asked trekbmc to lower the stats of Charneux as well)

Biography/Character description: Laurens is some well known rider on the Continental Tour. While riding half his career in bigger teams, he mainly made himself a name as proper leadout in the smaller PCT/CT for some riders that later had their breakthrough and are World Tour sprinters today.

He is known for his calmness not really getting frustrated and annoyed by many things. Though when there is someone disturbing, he is going to mention it, which is accepted and respected within the teams he was riding for.

With age also experience came and he started to decline a bit in last couple of years. That said, he was always of great help giving advice to younger team mates. Team mates listened to him, when he gave advices in special race situations and it was not rare that they tried to ride around him as this usually meant they wouldn`t get surprised on the wrong side of a split.

After the races in the team bus, he was the one taking care that everyone got the needed treatment and food before he started himself. One thing though happened without asking him: He never had the final say in the music choice. There he had to submit to the younger riders will, which just got a completely unknown taste for him.

After working up through the ranks at an amateur level, he found his calling as a domestique when he turn semi-professional with a small Belgian team in the Flanders region. This was where his love for all things cobbles began.

His work for the team was endless, and he took great pleasure in knowing that his small contribution was going a long way to the team's leader taking glory at the end. From bottle collecting to offering a spare wheel, he was always on hand for others.

Grateful for being given the shot to ride in the big time at the age of 30, Lukas hopes that he can help the likes of Leemans and Paping score some major results this season!

Biography/Character description:
Having been an avid watcher of the Tour de France already from a very young age, Lars had begged his father to go cycling with him almost every weekend. As he liked to compete with his father, the two always made a bet during the last 500 meters of their route, on who would get home faster. This was probably the reason why Lars could be described as a sprinter.

Eventually, Lars got a little bit too tired of always winning (though he could certainly use the pocket money), so he joined his local cycling club and participated in some Amateur races, where he did decently.

Though he always dreamed of making it to the very top of the sprinting Olymp, it became quite apparent that the young dutch rider would probably never be good enough. He usually had to settle for the role of protecting his team's best sprinter and would often be the first rider to lead out the sprint train.

Also, he was desperately useless whenever the road just marginally got steeper. Despite this, he still managed to leave a good impression with various Contiental Teams for two reasons:

1) Lars had accepted he was probably never going to be a star, so he would always happily do whatever the Team needed him to do...

2) Lars, while a very social and nice person, had a certain quality in him, that made him push his better teammates to their limit. In races he would always find the necessary words to motivate his leaders to give it their all. Think of Udo Bölts' comments to Jan Ullrich (torture yourself you bastard!) during the Tour de France 1997.

This was probably why the new dutch Team - Aegon signed him. That and the fact that he was dutch... and cheap... and he was the friend of the team manager's son (but that DEFINITELY had NOTHING to do with him being signed... at all. Like really! Trust me!).

*edit: specified the region from which Lars is from.

this was written before you said weaker domestiques. Went for a Steve Cummings kind of rider but tell me if he needs to be lowered.

REC: 75
Biography/Character description: Born in the mountains, he grew up homeschooled by a local farmer's wife at a makeshift one-class school. At the age of seven he found cycling as the Tour of Austria passed through a few miles away from his farm.

From there he began the familiar swirl into addiction, the battles with his father on which sport to watch on their tiny old tv, the books and magazines on Merckx, Coppi, Anquetil, Kubler and co. He couldn't get enough of this strange new world.

He found an abandoned bike lying on the road one day. As he looked at the rusted chain, wheels and frame and the somehow still working brakes and pedals, he couldn't believe his luck. He rode that goddamn bike every day, not controlling his effort, attacking each new corner or pothole with as much enthusiasm as a four-year-old in a ball pit.

As he grew up he started to enter local races. His mum, still clueless as to what was really going on, dutifully brought him to every single one, and slowly began to realise this wasn't some personal fad. L-K was serious.

He attacked until his legs gave up, and then attacked again because that's the only way he knew how. It would 99% of the time never work, but at the 1% where you didn't expect it he would outsmart the pack. This became more frequent as he put some tactics into his attacking. But mostly he still rode on feeling.

To find a career he moved to Germany to flat with a host of other aspiring talents from the area. He was generally happy there and raced far and wide in U-23 races looking to impress a pro team.

As he progressed up the pecking order of pro cycling he bounced around from team to team, not being able to settle in despite his warm attitude. Eventually he found some solace at NetApp Endura as they turned Anglo-Saxon (?). He didn't really have any wins but a few KoMs in HC and two top fives in later stages of GTs from breaks confirmed his status as a pro.

Now he makes the jump to Aegon for a new opening for his career. He hopes to have a free role but is up for helping on all terrains.

Personality: With teammates the ultimate cheeky joker, using his dry wit to set his teammates off laughing. In the press he has the right tone of confidence (but not over-the-top) and good attitude to endear himself to fans.

Riding Style: Diesel with a suprising punch. Excels in breaks, especially in the last week of a GT when nobody really wants to set pace. Ultra-aggressive but tactically sound and knows other rider's strengths, and won't instigate attacks if he can win in a sprint. Very loyal to his team leader if he isn't in the break (or even if he is, has been known to sacrifice a good position to drop back) but isn't experienced at leading a team by himself yet, and so is so far not likely to want to even at the smallest races.

Have you already made the database or something? can we see some previews, for example which kit you are gonna use? or do you need help for the database?

Selwink
All riders have received their stats in the DB already. However, with the Exp Pack not working yet, I will have to copy them over to the new cdb file. I won't need any help, it's not the first time I'm doing this.

A preview will have to wait until the entire team is filled, the shirt will also be presented then.

Biography/Character description: The little viking as he's called in his city of Alta. In his childhood he was always the shortest of the moutain-biking club, but he was also the strongest because of his punch and his technique.
He finally grew up and became a strong man around his 20th birthday. Inspired by the succes of Thor Hushovd, he came to the road in a little continental, Maxbo-Bianchi in 2007. But in this team, for the first time of his life, he wasn't the strongest and he had to work for his leaders, EBH, Kristoff and Nordhaugh. For three seasons they took the leadership, and when they left in 2010, HÃ¥rik was the new leader. But his lack of confidence prevented him from doing any results, and in 2011 he went back to mountain-biking. During two seasons, he trained and won some races, including a national championship.
He wasn't considering to come back in the continental circuit but he did at the beginning of 2013 when Ringeriks-Kraft came to him with a contract of leader. In the past two years he won several classics in Scandinavia and it gave him the chance to prove his talent in a Dutch WT team. But HÃ¥rik isn't self-confident and he planned to work a lot for his leaders as he thinks that he is one of the weakest rider in WT.
Personality : Not self-confident at all, usually helps the others instead of playing his own card. He is attached to his country and his city of Alta (#BetancurStyle).

Just a quick note for those who still want to apply: We don't need good cobblers anymore, we have more than enough of them already. So don't create riders who can do cobbles well please. Some pure domestiques is what the team needs (aside from a climber), so don't create strong riders.

Two questions : wich db are you using ? And the second one : can I make a weak domestique wich will give a new side to the personality of my first rider ?

1: The Expansion Pack of course
2: Yes, you are, as long as you make him quite a 'basic' domestique, so without the stats becoming too high.

So when his friend came back from his experience in Maxbo-Bianchi with a lack of confidence, Floki helped him and he brought him back to his real level.
When HÃ¥rik signed in Ringeriks, he asked the team to take Floki as his personal domestique. They were sharing a room during races and all the team said that the self-confidence of HÃ¥rik came from the presence of Floki. Thanks to HÃ¥rik, Floki is living a dream, he will race in World Tour ! But he knows that he'll have to follow HÃ¥rik in each race, giving him no liberty to show his potential. He is happy when HÃ¥rik wins of course, but he would like to win something too !

You'll see how it exactly works when the time is ready. Currently I'm still tweaking the details, so I won't reveal too much about it. All I can say is that it won't be DB regulated.
