Barguil overtook Thomas for 9th. Thomas must have lost seconds. |

Didn't Barguil just overtake Tony Martin?
Thomas won a place as well, according to PCS. Also Martin ofc.

Just out of curiosity, how does this selection committee choose the most combative rider of the stage? I don't at all understand how Delaplace got the award, when Feillu and Mate were the ones constantly attacking and the last 2 remaining, if I were one of those guys, I'd be rather pissed that a guy who dropped back 6,7, 8 kms before me gets the award.....yesterday as well, Vanbilsen or Daniel deserved the award, it just seems a bit ridiculous to me, but that's just a guy who feels horrible for the 2 who did the most work and lasted the longest |

Giant needs to stop with this shit. The finish line is at the finish line, not at the 3k to go banner.
Same here ..clearly missing Kittel on this train....only Ettix 2013 was able to control 3km |

This is great. But like Guido said, it's like he lost his climbing abilities in order to avoid crashes. If he is at the same level he was in California and Suisse, he'll be nowhere close to the top 10

It's a commitee (well known members are Gouvenou and Jalabert) who vote. One thing you didn't take into account though is that Delaplace was the first attacker who 'created' the break. They take that into account aswell.

Not just Kittel but Dumoulin is also missed, he is a big engine in that leadout train but it's not so much the train as it is that Dagenkolb isn't as fast in straight up sprints as Cav and Greipel

Perfect sprint by Cav. Not only won by his superb kick, but also tactically he did very well, for the first time this year. Too bad there arent many chances left - 1, maybe 2 left for Cav and Greipel?
Anyways, tomorrow should be fun. Expecting some GC-attacks, but its very hard to create a gap on that climb |

absolutely great one..he posted few days ago that he needed to learn how to be patient..and he showed this today..uphill sprint what never has been he's strongest part.
He is not as fast anymore..but he still knows when and how to sprint and place himself.
How many stage win he has from now? Legend already |
