But with the way Astana are riding, I wouldn't be surprised to see Landa take 5 minutes. Contador would have to work and Aru could eventually attack a depleted Contador when the time is right or when Landa would be caught.

Astana work really well for Cotnador. They must be trying to sign him for next year. 
I love how small this group is and that Kruiswijk, Trofimov, Amador and König are the guys in there.

No, Landa's in the form where he could have ridden away at the base of the climb (in an alternate universe where he isn't a threat), and would likely have at least won the stage considering the size ,composition and speed of the group. Now that he is in a threatening position, he would most likely probably be caught not far from the summit or would just fall over the line, but Contador would be forced to eventually chase as Landa isn't really that far behind thus spending energy and allowing Aru + 3 teammates to sit in his wheel and devise a plan of attack.
