Porte confirms (not that its much of a surprise) that he's leaving Sky in an interview after the TTT at the Tour
It looks like he is going to BMC https://www.cyclingweekly.co.uk/news/l...der-182018 |

I do have my doubts about Richie Porte's ability to be a Grand Tour contender but sometimes a change of teams can do a rider a world of good. Sky Pro Cycling's methods aren't necessarily always the best way and a fresh perspective at BMC and the experience of Allan Peiper could be a blessing in disguise.

From the way it looks there seems to be more going behind the scenes with Porte and Sky, maybe they have told him he's not being renewed or that he's taking a pay cut but there defiantly is more to this than Porte just wanting a new team.

I think Porte wants to be GT Leader but he won't get a chance at Sky whilst Froome is there |

Ehm, he just got one and fucked it as usual in the Giro. He had one in 2014 as well when Froome abandoned and was 2nd overall in 2013 after the first mountain stage where he suddenly totally cracked the day after
The "he doesnt get chances" is just a myth, he had a couple and havent shown anything for it so far |

Porte biggest problem is mental. When the pressure is high he folds, and the presence of Froome in the team is negative to a guy like Richie.
Perhaps he should have gone to a team like Orica like the Yates brothers. A little less pressure and no big time star for GC (besides the upcoming Yates boys)
I thought BMC had their eyes set on Tejay as their GC star, so how will Richie then handle that competition ??

C.A Sørensen rumoured to Bora Argon 18 for the next season, where both Bora manager and C.A has confirmed being in dealings.
However C.A also said he was in several dealings, while still negotiating with Saxo.

Ill be very sorry for Bora if they sign him. Apart from the Danish NC, he hasnt dont anything in 2 years or so. What tipped it for me was his pathetic performance in the Vuelta... and obviously his horrible, much-worse-than-Mochema style |

Lefevere is keen on signing a new / additional GC guy. He's following some Spanish (Navarro and Moreno) and French.
He's also following the performance of Contreras in Tour de l'Avenir and stated another talent is on his way to the Bakala Academy for some tests. |

He has been around a fair while so could add some experience to the squad which would help the younger riders, also his style might be ugly but if he's in breaks on big stages you can be sure the camera will focus on him which the sponsor would love

Yeah, I guess I just dont like the guy.
Interesting, interesting: AS say that Vino has told Nibali to look for a new team next year. Vino is furious which is understandable, since 2014 Nibali has been thrash for 18 months apart from July 2014 |

Thats probably a stretch... but I like your thinking. I honestly thinn Vino is just mad. He also just said that Nibali will have to suffer throughout the Tour and says he will also ride the Vuelta, probably as a penalty |

Let`s see if Mühlberger makes it in his 2nd Bora/NetApp stagiare.
Together with Pöstlberger 2 nice talents for the team, who performed well on CT level this season. |

Thank god he didn't went to Sky...
Anyways, Kwiato will leave EQS, probably for Sky (.....) The reason is, according to Lefevre, that Kwito was mad that he told him not to focus on Tour GC since 'But a rider is like a car. You can have a big engine but you also have your body. If he is 10 kilograms heavier than the real climbers, Quintana will always drop him.' Silly me thinking it works fine for Sky, since I suppose Geraint at least is 70 and the w/Kg estimates Sky released earlier for Froome on Saint Martin calculated it with Froome being 67,5 kg.... oh well. |

The reports seem to be stronger that Landa will sign for Sky 2016 and 2017, using the USP template of hiring the best spanish climbers. I really loved Landa in the Giro, both for his climbing and his personality, so this makes me kinda sad - not necessarily because its Sky, more so his dom-role in TdF. Hopefully he will be given opportunity to either ride Giro or Vuelta as a captain.. |
