What a stage!
I´m proud to see my team riding like this. I would never say before race we´ll have any impact on GC. And look at the result how many aces lost valuable time today! Pity that finish was "quite" hard for Boonen, 4th place is still good, though. Presence of Dzamastagic and Wallays in front group almost caused a miracle, we jumped from last place to unexpected 4th in team competition with small deficit on leaders.
What a stage!

Damn, awful stage and already it's hard to see Schleck coming close to winning this thing. He'll be well over 2 minutes down on numerous rivals after the 6th stage.

What an exciting couple of days. Really some bad luck for gc guys there.
For Phinney, Coppel being dropped makes a huge difference at his chances of grabbing yellow from the ITT

Congrats Alakagom, what a great win. now it is official, in all three GTs this year, wildacrd PCT team was able to grab a stage win! Starting with us in Giro, later Jaguar at Vuelta and now Quickstep at the biggest race of all. PCT rocks.
Congrats to ING express, great TTT dominance.

LOL, Quickstep just cant stop winning, being it D2 earlier, PCT or PT. The luckiest team ever to be in MG (sorry Alak, i know skill is importnat in setting your team up, but this is too much).

Wow Alakagom, that's a huge result with back-to-back wins!
Also in those two stages you have one more PT stage win than I do for the whole season.

Building own sprint train is the last think we need here.
Quickstep is on fire!

It was nice to see Vantomme taking this one.
And I decided to let him go as I did not expect him to be very competive in the PT.
Nizzolo at least tried to sprint. This is nice to see. Unfortunately he was not in Zabel`s position as this was the perfect wheel for a slower sprinter.
Congrats Alakagom. Impressive. |

Wooohooo
Well, why not? It's simply a stellar season for a very strong Quickstep team! Boonen will bounce back, also hoping for Bennati to take one stage.

Decent result for Howard, 10th place is not bad.

Well the better sprinters denied here.
Vantomme finally justifies his wage from a few years ago with Quickstep already the scourge of the Protour. Actually I with no real hope for these early stages am enjoying this early points grabbing from them denying my rivals.
General rule of thumb is the best sprinters build a sprint train even if they have not got the team for it - whereas a team with not the best sprinters don't bother creating a sprint train even if they have a good sprint train!

Two in a row! Impressive performance so far Alakagom. Even if all your riders were to abandon tomorrow, this would still be one to remember. Congratulations

Surprisingly strong sprinting from Van Heerden, I hope to see more of that when he finds himself in a good position, as positioning is a lottery like usual for him.
Cool to see Quickstep bossing the Tour on the two first stages, showing that it pays off to be here with their strongest team.
Thanks for the report, roturn. Looking forward to what will hopefully be three more sprint stages before the TT. |

Hmmm...not bad
I hoped Vantomme should be able to win stage here at some point considering sprinter field here, but this is all more special back-to-back. Great work by team, and extra cool to see Vanbilsen in green!
Thanks for the nice messages everyone And as Gustavo says, if all my riders crash tomorrow it'd still be special race for us! Hopefully they don't though

Really well done by Zabel, he shows natural skills in selecting the best wheel. 4th is way better than I expected rfom him in TDF this year!
Well done by Vantomme, I'm used to making fun of him, maybe I gotta stop that

Gives a good incentive for Vantomme to ask for a big wage
Great job by Kittel to get in the break and take a joint KoM lead.

Don't results that don't give points towards relevant rankings don't count? At least that's what you told me during transfers xd
