Morris Possoni jumps out at me purely for the link to the "absolutely no doping" Team Sky. Of course he rode for Lampre both pre- and post-Sky which would explain it but you never know. Just something else for the haters to use (lol)

Sky wouldn't be stupid enough to use Ferrari.

In totally other news Yuriy Vasyliev or how he is spelled, has to retire with 21 years of age only.
Non stopping knee issues for the young German talent.
He was quite promising 2 years ago but since then suffered and was never able to ride on a consistent level. |

A nice little tidbit from this Padova thing. Di Luca was partially responsible for dismantling Ferrari, and in turn bringing down Armstrong:
And still, Di Luca was stupid enough to continue using dope and got caught in the 2013 Giro..... Some people never learn

What a f***n' pr**k, he can't even find a decent excuse. The greatest Italian shame of the last century.
At least I thought that we were good liars, but I'll have to change my mind.

Probably back when he was the best climber of all sprinters. (Which was the span of this investigation I think, 2008-2011) In recent years he's not been a very good climber at all really.

And anyway WT will have 17 teams. Europcar will be moving down to PCT division.

At least the Eurocar decision actually makes sense. It's a bit of a sad thought but i fully expect the team to fold at the end of 2015. They've been running on the limits for a number of years and it's only ever been a matter of stalling the collapse.
Perhaps someone will step in because of the guaranteed Tour spot but a team needs more interest than that from a sponsor. Or it needs to scale back. Nice try from Europcar to go WT but it ended as badly as everyone kind of expected

Shame that Europcar go PCT, I think that Coquard and Rolland deserve WT teams |

No surprise there. Their budget was clearly stretched at the top level. They will still get into plenty of races and certainly all the ones they really want.

Basically 3x ____/ plus a short TT.
Taking so many leaves out of the Vuelta book they could grow a tree!

Well, that's actually the reason, only few of their riders deserve a WT spot, and they lost the 50% of their strongest riders in the last 2 seasons.

Lots of intresting news today:
- IAM complete. 29 riders, last rider to be confirmed, Tanner, as I thought. And it seems IAM created a custom jersey for each rider, it's quite cool not that it'll be visible during races

- Roelandts new deal actually involves a very interesting part. He will no longer be part of Greipel's train in any big races, that means definitely no Tour for him, He hopes that no longer domestiquing give him more edge for classics. Classics,Giro, Vuelta, Worlds likely schedule now.
- Similarly, Jurgen van der Broeck will not ride Tour. Giro, and optionally Vuelta, will be the targets. Vuelta yet to be confirmed however.
- This leads to Wellens being given carte blanche at Tour. Gallopin and Wellens can attack as much as they want at Tour. Wellens has few stages already pencilled in, he is not going for GC at all. Stage wins this year the only goal.

Well, if until yesterday we focused on Ferrari's doping facts, La Gazzetta today reports that he's under investigation for money laundering and tax evasion! Congratulations man!
Besides that:

You may hate Astana, but nothing beats their new rider's initiation
