Great job by Ignatiev to hold off some of the best puncheurs worldwide and remain in that 3rd place. It should be nice battle now in the TT and last stage, that podium place would be super huge.
Thanks for the nice reports Cunego, this give me lot of hope for PCT when i see what is Mikhail able to do in such a strong field.

It's gonna be close for sure with only a 28km ITT and hill stage left; Trofimov 77TT/83HI, Phinney 83TT/77HI, Gesink 80TT/81HI
Also Ignatiev taking points from (hopefully) other teams is probably good in the long run (avoiding relegation).

Hoping Coppel can sneak in a decent top 5 ish ride in the ITT and move deep into the top 10 on GC,
Wasn't that hopeful of a high finish on GC but Copp is battling really nicely. Last stage with its lack of gaps was good for him.

From checkpoint to checkpoint I became more confident!
Brilliant result by LL Sanchez. 5th in the GC now. He just needs to keep that on the final stage. I mean I wouldn`t mind if Phinney and Ignatiev show weakness there.
But less than 5th would be shit after his consistent performance so far.
Great report cunego, really like your TT reports. |

Down to 12th for Gastauer, now time to make up ground. It should be possible to gain time on the likes of Lutsenko, Konig and Coppel to get back in the Top 10.

Cunego you are really good at reporting TTs - to be honest you are superb all round, but that was a really nice TT report thank you.
About where I hoped Coppel would be, hoping he can gang on to top 10 GC place. As ever hopeful of a breakaway guy in last stage too.

I'd be happy with a top 15 GC place from Diggle - if he can hold on in the last stage.
And I'm plenty happy with the proof that my lead out train works, and my sprinter is more than adequate in competing with the best the ProTour has to offer. Roll on some more sprint stages and hilly races (I'll ignore the fact that I can no longer "over perform" in the mountains with a massive outsider).

As others have said, great report.
Zingle comfortably inside the top 20 is more than I ever expected to get so I'm happy.

Always happy to get a stage win. If Phinney holds onto second i'll be very pleased. Felt like it was something of a gamble to send him here, but so far its looked like paying off.

Another brilliant time trial report from you, Cunego59, thanks a lot!
Not much to be said for us. Now I hope to see Dyrnes in the breakaway, but it's probably too much to ask, after his effort on the fifth stage. |

I'm glad you guys liked the report, especially since it was kind of a difficult one, with strong riders already finishing while others weren't even at the second checkpoint and it was kind of hard to keep the overview
Doing the last stage now, so expect the report in some two hours

Brilliant result by König! It would be amazing if he could stay around his current GC result till the end of this race. Some good luck would be nice...

Good reporting all the way through again Cunego, thank you.
A podium is good enough from Phinney, dissapointed Sanchez managed to take that much time out of him on this stage though.
Will be interesting to see how these three races affect the standings, especially with the variety of results and depth of squads.

Too much for Copp there and he really tried to hang on to a top 10 too. not the only one to lose places on another nice selective day.
Trofimov once again an expert at these sorts of races, he has such a great record in short stage races. great result for LLS, important points for Rothaus, VW for me not having quite the best of things from the trio of stage races. will be interesting to see how things have panned out points wise.
thanks Cunego for super reports

Great race for Sanchez. Also another second in a break. Slowly a first win would be nice. Also top30 for Thurau in the GC and KoM points.
Very nice race. Thanks for the reports. |

Ahh, it was so nice and it is over.
Ignatiev loosing a podium place is a bit of a bummer, but i am not chasing ranking points (still Ignatiev can be top10 in PT individual rankings now) so 4th is great.
Honestly, i would feel a bit bad for stealing those precious points, good to see that it was Rothaus rider passing Mikhail, as i cheer for them to stay in PT! Also congrats to Tinkoff, dominant performance from Trofimov. This looked like like russian national race.
So stage podium, two 4th places in stages, 4th in GC, 3rd in points for Ignatiev, top10 in KOM for Pakthusov, some nice results for Zmorka and Grosu. But cherry on the cake? Metinvest won the team competition!
Thanks for the nice reports (TT was top top notch) and for so much PT fun, see you at the Giro!

For some strange reason a good last stage for me, both Flügel and Klemme climbing in the GC and getting some small points. I have a feeling evry single point will be important for me
