In terms of this year's budget, there is a base amount for all teams. A fixed amount is then added to that, depending on the difficulty of teams goals that you select.
In terms of next year's budget, your results in these goals contribute towards the base amount, in the form of a multiplier. The biggest reward would come if you got 100/100 in goals of Cost 23, but the biggest penalty would come if you got 0/0 in Cost 23. You are still relatively well rewarded if you get 100/100 for Cost 14, but the benefit is you are significantly less penalised if you get 0/0 here.
In terms of pure money, you benefit more by doing well in your goals than by picking hard goals now and failing. But the question to you is what is more important. Money now or money later? Money now could allow you to buy a rider to achieve your goals, after all!

[C1] GP Onda-Boavista, [C2] Tour de Slovenie, [C2] Bucks County Classic and [C2] Barcelona Classic are all in the Calendar - although are currently missing from the month-by-month part of the Excel file, and the race profiles forum. This will be fixed.

I got three C2HC Top 3 goals.. Guess I just can change that to top 5 since i only got 4 points for top 3 anyway?

@SN Am I right to think that getting 2/5 goals that total 14 points would give you a different multiplier if those 2 goals were individually worth 10 of those points instead of 5?

For the past 2 seasons, there has just been a Goals Cost and a Goals Score. So if you got 2/5 goals, it doesnt matter whether those 2 goals were the hardest goals you selected, or the easiest.
From this season though, it will almost certainly be weighted as you suggest, yes.

If you sent in your goals based on the incorrect system posted yesterday, you can reconsider what you chose, and should then re-send them to Smowz. There was not meant to be a Top 3 C2HC goal. The cost that was put to that is equivalent to the cost you actually get for a Win C2HC goal.

Yes. Exactly my point!

Is the goals multiplier only applied to (1) the base amount? Or to (2) the sum of the base amount and the difficulty bonus?
Your post obviously suggests option 1, but it doesn't exclude option 2 and I want to be sure.

A better way to put it is that your budget is:
(Base Amount x Last year's goals result multiplier) + Fixed amount for this year's goals difficulty

I'm guessing this is the best place to ask it but is the first stage of the Tour of Southland really a TTT that's under 5KM long?

You seem to have misread the profile picture. The first stage is an Individual prologue, the TTT is later in the race and a bit longer

You won`t go bankrupt. But if your goals were difficult and you are rewarded for this in the first season, then you will get a negative reward at the start of next season if you fail them.
That said you still have the same salary budget next year, but will have a limited budget above that.

I'm assuming that CT teams are still OK mulling over goals as renewals only just underway? Don't want to hold anything up, but still not made mind up on Plan A, B or C (at least narrowed down to only 3 now, progress! ).

Smowz, have you moved the profiles already? Should've done them earlier but is there a chance I can still see them?

Milano San Remo is missing in the month by month Calendar, race profile says "Clashes only with Middle East Tour". So I guess it's the 25th, 27th or 28th of March?

What profiles can't you see?

28th of February. Yeh, I need to add that to the month by month calendar pages.
