Funny to read cio talent approach when I went the completely opposite direction.
I don't know why he wouldn't want to be me... Hectic transfer seasons are way more fun that sitting on 1.2M for a rider that can't produce until 2017... Of course just my opinion.
I'm happy with my team and cio is happy with his. That's all that matters and what makes the MG great. There isn't an exact formula to be successful.

I wonder where that D2 reference is coming from, TMM.
I could swear I started in something called CT as well back then.

First of all Herklotz is only 525k
It wasn't meant in the way that having fresh money to spend is a bad thing per se of course, but for example, this transfer season showed you can be very prone to being overbid left and right in the FA market, and you can't sell your riders for a lot of cash anymore to be more active in team-to-team transfers.
And of course TMM omitted the smiley that came after this sentence.
I'm happy with my team and cio is happy with his. That's all that matters and what makes the MG great. There isn't an exact formula to be successful.
As I said, I don't think I have the monopoly on the success formula either, and indeed everyone has his own approach that he chose for very specific reasons.
I like seeing how history starts to become a thing for the teams starting around my time when it comes to roster decisions, it shows how we've all grown into this game.

Work in Issue #4 is now underway. The big thing so far is a slightly new layout to the magazine. Nothing too serious but an expansion of the space so i can fit more into the articles and hopefully host a new regular content piece.
In terms of content mostly up in the air, but primarily focused around the opening races and first impressions of PC13 as an engine. Work slowly beginning with the estimated publish date of the 2nd May

Gonna try hard to get Issue #4 done for release this weekend. Main article will be about PCM13 as an engine getting a selection of views about it. Also going to look at the first round of rankings and draw some obviously incorrect conclusions. Probably not a big interview this time a round. Also not sure on Whale Watching but i'll make something up in time.
As always if anyone has an idea or anything please let me know, the more people involved the better it can become!

Sounds nice(see what I did there?). I think there's pretty much to say about PCM 13 as an engine

I refuse to get excited, you've done this announcing, then not releasing shit way too often before.

Volume 3: Issue 1
End of Season 2014
Includes
A look at some of the stories cleared up on the final day of racing
A summary of the Promotion and Relegation situations
This Issue 1 isn't particularly in depth, just tring to get back into the mindset and style. Also new software on my end so brand new layout. Still getting used to the new software so fairly basic editing but it will evolve down the line.
Future issues will tackle less stories in more detail, and we'll get back to the Big Interview as well next issue.
Nice to be back working on this and the new format really suits my time and style at the moment. Always happy to have people come on board and help out with articles and stuff, so don't hesitate to contact me. Also updated the front post.

Raises an interesting question - would you consider letting it pass if a place in PT is available? No need to feel any pressure to answer, just interested. Worked out for the CT team that did so for the 2014 season, but given the competition level in PCT, would be quite a gamble to take!

I'd take it purely because the extra cap and budget would prove beneficial in the long run. Yes, I'd probably relegate - being purely French/Sri Lankan limits me massively - but it'd be an experience, and the squad I'd hope to assemble would likely be strong enough to bounce straight back after trimming the fat, so to speak. |

Makes sense. Good luck with the strict national focus in 2015 in whichever division.
Sorry for hijacking the thread - everyone should read the new issue a few posts above!
