Intro
Tinkoff Credit Systems (UCI Team Code: TCS) is a professional continental cycling team based in Italy that has UCI Professional Continental status, racing in UCI Continental Circuits races and when selected as a wildcard to UCI ProTour events. The team is financed by Russian businessman Oleg Tinkoff.
Tinkoff Credit Systems emerged from the 2006 Continental team Tinkoff Restaurants, which was based in Russia and employed Russian cyclists. Of the eleven cyclists employed by the team, eight now ride for Tinkoff Credit Systems: Pavel Brutt, Ilya Chernetskiy, Mikhail Ignatiev, Serguei Klimov, Anton Mindlin, Ivan Rovny, Alexander Serov and Nikolai Trusov.
Stefano Feltrin is the general manager of Tinkoff, while Omar Piscina is team manager, assisted by Orlando Manini, Dmitri Konychev and Claudio Cozzi. Owner Oleg Tinkoff has worked hard to build links with the Italian cycling community, which garnered wildcard invites to the major RCS races, including the 2007 Giro d'Italia. Tinkoff use Colnago bikes with Campagnolo accessories.
For the scouring we will mainly focus us on Italia en Russia. Our pre-season trainingcamps will also take place in Italia: Lucca. The season goals for this year are as follows: Victory in GP Costa degli Etruschi and Giro di Toscana, top 3 in Milano - Torino, Mountainjersey in Settimana Internazionale en gaining a wildcard for Giro d'Italia. Other important races for our sponsors (SMS Santini, Cicli Pinarello en Polti) are Tirreno Adriatico, Settimana Ciclistica Lombarda, Tour de Slovenie and the Italiaa en Russian championships. Futhermore we hope to promote to the Pro Tour at the end of the season.

Oleg is back!!
I think it ould be better if you would play with PCMDaily08 v2.1, because the stats are much higher than in the original PCMDaily 08 (for ex. Mazzanti has 78 Hill), but surely that's your decision.
Good luck in 2008! |

Tour of Qatar
Intro
The Tour of Qatar is a road bicycle race race held in Qatar and is part of the UCI Asia Tour. The race exists of a men's competition over six stages.
Race Report
The 2008 Tour of Qatar was held from 27 January to 1 February 2008 in Qatar. It is a multiple stage road cycling race that took part over six stages with a total of 712.5 kilometres and is normally won by sprinters, but this edition was suprisely won by an attachker Ignatiev! Ignatiev became first in the general rankings at the end of the stage race, thanks to a victory in the team timetrial, a victory in the 4th stage of the race and some bonusseconds he was able to grap during the sex stages. During the masssprints we didn’t play a significant role, but Loddo finished most of the time top 10, furthermore we won the team rankings and Ignatiev also won the youth ranking. With this victory in Tour of Qatar, Ignatiev now leads the continental circuit with 144 pionts. A great result to start the cycling season!
Riders
Leader: Ignatiev
Sprinter: Loddo
Free role: Gottfried
Team mate: Khatuntsev, Serov, Eskov, Riccio and Klimov
08/01/27 – Stage 1 – Victory Ignatiev
With time trial specialists like Ignatiev in our team we were able to win, for the first time of the season, the first stage of the Tour of Qatar. At the end of the day we were 1 second faster than Slipstream and 2 seconds than Lampre. Ignatiev finished in the front when crossing the finish line, therefore he will ride in the leader’s jersey tomorrow. In the upcoming stages Loddo will try to do his best to get good results, if there are masssprint ofcourse. Ignatiev will defend his leader’s role by collecting as much as bonus seconds as possible.
08/01/30 - Stage 4 - Victory Ignatiev
Today everybody expected a mass sprint, but a breakaway could also make it to the finish because there were many turns in the last 5 km. Ignatiev, who had inspected the profile well, tried to breakaway with just 13 km to the finish line. The peloton was controlled by Milram for Pettachi en Zabel, but while Ignatiev was trying to ride away, Pettachi fell! And thanks to Loddo, who was tactically slowing down everybody who wanted to wheeled in the breakaway, Ignatiev stayed ahead of the peloton and crossed the finish solo with 27 seconds in front of the peloton.

Gran Premio della Costa Etruschi
Intro
The Gran Premio della Costa Etruschi is a one day professional cycling race between the towns of San Vincenzo and Donoratico on the Tuscany coast in Italy. The 193 kilometre long race takes place at the beginning of February and has now taken over from the Trofeo Laigueglia as the opening event of the Italian professional cycling season. It is ranked 1.1 on the UCI Europe Tour. The race has been dominated by Italians since its inception in 1996, with riders from that nation winning on nine occasions, with an all Italian 1-2-3 happening seven times out of the 12 editions of the race.
Riders
Leader: Mazzanti
Free: Brutt en Petrov
Team mate: Kiryienka, Rovny en Sobal
08/02/04 – Victory Mazzanti
As expected the race ended today in a mass sprint, but with a surprising winner. Mazzanti was able, thanks to the good work of its team mates, to win the mass sprint. Earlier on the day, Sobal escaped, but Sobal and his fellow escapees were rapidly caught back by the peloton. Many sprinters couldn’t keep up with peloton, because of the hilly profile of the race. Tinkoff took maximum advantage of this, by starting to control the peloton 5 km before the finish line. At the end Kiryienka and Brutt launched Mazzanti perfectly for the victory, with this win we were able to seal the first goal of the season: “ Win Gran Premio della Costa Etruschi”.
Tour de Langkawi
Intro
The Tour de Langkawi (French for "Tour of Langkawi" is an annual cycling race which is held in Malaysia. The name of the event comes from the starting point of the first few editions, in Langkawi, Kedah, although some later editions did not include Langkawi in the race at all. The race is part of the UCI Asia Tour.
Race Report
The Tour de Langkawi 2008 was held from 9 till 17 February in Malaysia. The Tour has nine stages, one of them is a mount stage (the eighth stage). In the 2008 edition of the Tour de Langkawi there wasn’t, in contrast to the previous editions, a time trial stage. The Italian rider Pagoto became first in the general rankings at the end, Le Mével and Pedraza respectively became second and third.
Riders
Leader: Pedraza
Sprinter: Trussov
Free: Contrini
Team mate: Eskov, Serov en Chernetskiy
08/02/16 – Stage 8 – Victory Pedraza
Today the only mount stage of theTour of Langkawi was driven. CSF Group - Navigare were forced the take control in the peloton, since their rider Pagoto was leading the general ranking. On the last climb of the day Simoni attacked, but he didn’t lose the peloton while doing so. Then on approximately 3 km for the finish line Pedraza attacked. He separately himself from the rest of the favorites and arrived sole on the finish with 19 seconds ahead of the rest of the group (with all the other favorites in it). Simoni became still nice second and Pozzovivo third in the group behind Pedraza. Pagoto defended his leader jersey well by finishing in the group with all the other favorites. Pedraza finished eventually third and Le Mével second in the general rankings.
Tour Méditerranéen
Intro
Tour Méditerranéen is a professional road bicycle racing event held in southern France along the Mediterranean Sea. The Tour Méditerranéen is a six-day stage race that began in 1974 and since 2005 has been a part of the UCI Europe Tour. From 1974 to 1977, the race was named Trophée Méditerranéen. The race has been won by many notable Grand Tour and world champion riders including Eddy Merckx, Gianni Bugno, Gerrie Knetemann (three times), and Paolo Bettini.
Race Report
Tour Méditerranéen was held from 14 till 18 February in France and Italy. It was 34th edition. The stage race was won by the Italian Mazzanti, Rodriguez and Serrano respectively became second and third.
Riders
Leader: Mazzanti
Sprinter: Riccio
Free: Serrano en Brutt
Team mate: Petrov, Sobal en Rovny
08/02/15 – Stage 3 – Victory Mazzanti
Right from the start there were a lot of escapes, but eventually the peloton came back together before the last climb of the day, the Mont Faron, started. On the Mont Faron Tinkoff took control, by speeding up the pace of the peloton. And with still 4km to go, Moreau and Rodríguez were the only ones left besides Mazzanti and Serrano. Eventually Mazzanti won the sprint by an explosive attack. Rodríguez became second and Serrano third. This result was also the general ranking at the end of the Tour Méditerranéen. Besides winning the general ranking (Mazzanti), Serrana won the mountain jersey and became Tinkoff first in the general team ranking.
Trofeo Laigueglia
Intro
The Trofeo Laigueglia is an early season road bicycle race held annually in Liguria, Italy. Since 2005, the race has been organised as a 1.1 event on the UCI Europe Tour. It is held about ten days after the opening to the Italian season, the Gran Premio della Costa Etruschi.
Riders
Leader: Mazzanti
Sprinter: Loddo
Free: Serrano en Brutt
Team mate: Ignatiev, Petrov, Rovny en Gottfried
08/02/23 –Victory Mazzanti
By good tactical work of both Serrano and Mazzanti, Tinkoff was able to win this important Italian race. With still 32 km to go, on the top of the Passo Balestrino, a small group came together in front of the peloton. In the descent of the Passo Balestrino Serrano and Mazzanti were able to lose the fellow attackers of the leading group (including Paulini, Di Luca and Duque). Together they stayed ahead of them, mainly due to the fact that Di Luca couldn’t get the group to work together. At the end Mazzanti (winner of the Tour Méditerranéen) passed the finish line before Serrano did , Paolini eventually won the sprint for the third place. We were also the fastest in the team ranking, a splendid performance to conclude this successfully month.

Well at least it's not as un-realistic as your career with Joker Bianchi! Where you, for example, win all the jerseys in the Tour de Normandie
