That's a lot of potential! Although it will take very long until he reaches his potential, and it's not certain if he gets there before he declines
His hill&stamina abilities will be really bad though, he can get problems with that
His Mountain certainly won't be good either (max is ~64) Hills may not get to the 60s, Cobbles/Prologue also only in the 60s, Resistance in the 60s.
May turn out to be a good sprinter, Sprint should certainly be in the high 70s at least, Acc/Flat probably both upper 70s. Low Res/End/Hill will really hurt him, he will struggle badly with anything uphill, could lose contact with peloton on anything with a cat3 climb or a few cat 4s.
Certainly worth a contract though, perhaps not on a WT team.

64 is more than good for a sprinter though But Hill and Res could really be a problem indeed. Another thing which I think nobody has mentioned is his ACC. Nearly as important as the sprint stat, but starting at 58, if he'd get the maximum 18 (6 stars is maximum 18? not sure now), that'd leave him with 76.
So well, I don't think he'll develop into a world class sprinter, and the WT races might make him suffer a bit more due to low RES/HIL. But he can be very successful at the CT level, take lots of wins there

The current stats don't say much about a rider's potential. If he has a great potential, he will become a very good rider. So don't worry about his current stats.
If I understand the young riders .xml files correctly, to be for example a potential 8 sprinter, at 18 years old the rider will have a minimum of 67 in SP. So the initial stats do matter a bit at least

Obviously, 6 stars is the most the menu can display, thus leaving no computable upper limit to such a stat. It could be 85

Here's an awesome young sprinter in my career signed by Champion System, he was winning everything in the u-23's so they snapped him up as a trainee at the end of 2012 and he took 15 victories in the last couple of months of 2012.
Can we see the stars/potential for this rider ??

It‘s not his rider, so the only way is to copy the limits from an editor.

Nice one! Too bad that his time-trial stats aren't that good.

It doesn't really matter, the intention with this game, is to win as many stages as possbie, and the main goal is the "hill classics", don't know what it is called in english

True that. It will be more a rider as Igor Anton.

Yeah for sure, I'm thinking about trying to beat Eddy Merckx' record for most stage victories in the Tour de France

Great topic. I like to play with small custom teams and discover new cyclists, the future stars (or not) so I have many talents stories.
My best promising cyclist in recent years that I remember was in PCM 2010, the Russian Nikita Butcharov, sprinter who won all flat stages of the under 23 calendar. In the second season he raced on my team and was the rider with most wins.
I'll try to make a long career in Easter's week and come back here to show my new talents with the Daily DB 2013. |

He won the mountain stage in the Ronde de l'Isard. He will be an awesome stage racer in the future |

I'd train him as a climber instead of stage racer, no? |

No, I think his TT quality can get about 75-77, so definitely a stage racer...

Train him as a Puncher first, get his hills and resistance up quickly. Then switch to Stage Racer. (Improving hills early is one of the best things since most small tours key on hilly stages rather than mountains).

To tell you a secret: Unless there are no TT stars left, I never trained a rider as climber in 7 years of playing PCM
Additional TT is always worth it imo.

TT also increases when you train as climber. |
