As others said, I agree: there's no difference in having the Alpe dHuez on stage 20 or 21. "The most boring stage of the Tour" would simply be put somewhere else (profile-wise = flat).
But I was wondering: what about the financial aspect of the Champs Elysees, isn't it big enough to complete discard a non-Paris finish for ASO? I mean, lots of tourists, lots of people watching and buying stuff, as someone said a day for the press, with the champagne and all, that must raise some money?

Sure, you're completely right, lluuiiggii. I'm pretty sure that a finish in Paris will get them be paid a lot. So, I don't think the financial aspect (meaning they maybe don't get enough) made them think about a non-Paris finish.
They just said they talked about that, which means basically not that much. They talked about a dozan of scenarios, I guess. All we know is they gave it a thought, not more or less. In the end, I'm sure we see the finish in Paris and maximally a late mountain-stage (stage 19 or 20).

No idea if mentioned before as it's such a small 'thing' really, but last stage of Tour 2013, Champs-Elysée is very likely to end at night.

That may be an issue for the party afterwards. |

Yeah. He likes to party in Spain so that's good news for him. |

I like the idea of Champs-Elysée at night, it'll look great with the proper lighting. |

That would be spectacular and resolve some of the problem with transportation to Paris if they want stage 20 to be a big summit finish

based on that looks a more balanced route to favour a true GC rider
but without profiles its hard to tell

I'm concerned about the length of the Mont-Saint-Michel ITT. The rest looks potentially good. Presentation in 10 minutes.

It looks quite short on the map unfortunately, i hope for two long TTs again, the rest seems well balanced. I am looking forwrd to the profiles.

Seems like a cool route. When will the stage profiles be known? |

Perfect time to have a short meeting at the University. Hope to be back in ~30min when hopefully the 2013 route hasn`t started. |
