I'm not too sure about that. The problem is that most of the questions will probably be relatively easy to research. So if you have all the time you need to look around, it's not very challenging. If you have to post it here, faster than everyone else, you need to have the knowledge (and the luck to be online at the right time). It depends on what you want your followers to do

Maybe it should only be the first 5 PM's you get, and you post here saying that you got 5 so people stop sending.

Hmmm, those are good ways of looking at it too! Maybe I will switch it up between those two ideas and use some sort of variations

NetApp to Focus on Developing German Cyclists
The German Cycling team, NetApp are Germany's only Professional Cycling team! There are a few amateur teams, but none on the pro level. The Directors at NetApp feel that they are doing an injustice to the country as the team currently consists of a few Germans and a handful of rider from other European countries, most of them from Eastern or Central Europe.
Whats wrong with the team? Well, NetApp feel that there are too few German cyclists on the squad currently, and they want to change that! Normally only a few days into the new season a cycling team would not be so eager to share their plans for the transfer season, but being the only Pro German team they feel that they can only have an advantage by stating this, as it will encourage German cyclists interested in riding for NetApp, some of them already in contact with the team to work even harder this year and hopefully get the results to get noticed.
In particular NetApp would like to have a hotbed of young German talent on the team. "Developing our own riders and having them grow as they also help the team qualify for bigger and better races would be a dream come true", says Ralph Denk, Manager of the team. To have the German stars of today would be great for not only the publicity of the fans, but I think it could be a huge bonus similar to a team like Astana or Katusha who have Kazakh or Russian riders specifically wanting to ride for the only Top Team to represent their nation.
More importantly NetApp want young cyclists. A few veterans may come in, but the bulk of the riders wanted are young guys. When asked if someone like Degenkolb would be a target, Denk responded with "well he is maybe a bit strong for a team like us, but if there is interest on his side we would love to have a rider of his calibre." I personally dont see Degenkolb ever joining, he is too strong to be riding for NetApp as they currently stand, however if their plan works out I could see him as well as many other top German riders joining as well!
As the trend of German cycling continues to rise back up, I expect Team NetApp to only improve! Ralph Denk is a very smart man, he knows that building a team out of young talents and aged veterans will take quite a long time, it will be quite an investment, and it will be filled with many ups and downs, down times being more frequent, but he has called this strategy some sort of 4-year plan! As the team began in 2010 the goal was simple, improve every season and eventually we will be in the ProTour. We see it already with riders like Barta and Konig, who are still yet to reach their peak and are leading the team! Sure they aren't German but the team is not looking to be 100% German, they just want to be mostly German, probably around 90% although this plan was just brought up a few days ago and was not one of their original plans. Now that we are in 2012 the alleged 4-year plan only has two years remaining, meaning that the ProTour goal should not be too far away. For right now it does not look like the team is strong enough to promote to the ProTour, but as they have said all along steady improvements and they will get there soon.
And just as an added bonus the teams budget has significantly increased going into the 2012 season, nearly doubling. So watch out for Team NetApp this season as they plan to not only become a pinnacle in the cycling world, but also provide German cycling with the renaissance it deserves, through both rider and team.

Nice article, developing of german talents should be your main target, good that people around the team have the same opinion.
But till than, you have to rely on czechs and poles

Thanks Avin! I see the team, and I think they are a mix of too much. I want to be a German team with German riders and then a few others from other places.

I love the idea you're having, as I would like to see some more experienced and some more young german riders as well I really miss a german top team at the moment.
Finally I read the new article. That's the main reason why I like your storys so much - It's not just race results, but a real story and you always have great new ideas, although it took me a while to read the longer article this time
And lastly you should really try to go for Degenkolb! He would be the perfect leader for the team, if you want to promote to WT in the next years
Spoiler Of course I'm pretty biased, as I really like him. He's the rider in my avatar, if you couldn't recognize because of the small size |

Hello everyone, we will have another 5 questions for the fan ranking, just to keep the thread a little active and of course this can be used for those that didn't get a chance to have a rider to gain an early advantage.
Current Rankings
Trivia Rank
Name | Points | tsmoha | 200 | PCM rulezz | 100 |
Rider Rank
N/A
Combined Rank
Name | Rider | Total Points | tsmoha | Andre Schulze | 200 | PCM rulezz | Daniel Schorn | 100 |
-----------
For the current round each question will be worth 100 points. I DO NOT accept edited posts, and like usual you do not need to answer all questions, only the ones you feel. The first correct answer for each question is counted. (There was clarification about this on Page 4)
Question 1: Who was the first German to win the Green Jersey at the Tour de France?
Question 2: The rider with the most Tour de France Green Jerseys ever, spent how many days in the Yellow jersey over his entire career?
Question 3: Who was the one and only German Winner of Paris-Roubaix?
Question 4: There has only been one German Winner of the Tour de L'Avenir! Who was it?
Question 5: Germany is the ____ ranked nation in Cyclocross (2011/2012)
