2012 DB: Pre-Beta Release
Jaywol
Will you provide an alternative d/l method to torrent, I don't use them. Mainly for the updates from pre beta to beta to full, as I'm already using the pre beta. Thanks, regards Jaywol.

Where exactly is Expansion pack V1?
I am not sure which one pack I should be downloading in order for this 2012 DB to work

You can find the Expansion Pack V1 under the 'Recommended Downloads' on the right side of the page. Then after downloading it, download the 2 parts posted on the first page of this thread. Also note you need to download the Patch 1.0.4.4 before. Finally note this is just the Pre-Beta, not the full 2012 DB.

thanks for the info

I have just downloaded the parts to the expansion pack. I'm not familiar with torrent, and so figured I just just execute each part.exe file, but at the end of all that, there doesn't seem to be any new DB in PCM. Is there some kind of torrent thing I need to do?

There is a installation instruction, did you follow it? As far as I know, all five parts have to be in the same folder, for example your desktop, then install it by executing the first part. During the installation you have to select the correct path to your game, if you messed it up, either install again and make sure to select the correct folder this time or move the misplaced files and folders manually.

Something is wrong if there are several .exes. There should just be one .exe and several other files which are not .exes.

I have installed the Pre datatbase, but now pcm quits after the ITT of Australia...

Does any-one know how to solve this problem?

Its probably because you haven't installed the 2011 Expansion pack, that was required, beforehand.

BTW Crue, I've sent you an email with the future sponsors jersey pack.

I didn't downloaded the beta because my internet connection is really slow right now. So if this race is in now, please ignore this post Wink But a race I was missing in V1 was Binche-Tournai-Binche. And I'd really like to see that one.

It was included with the Pre-Beta, yes Wink Thanks for the suggestion, though.

Is the database compatible with the season planner application, or is this affected by the same problem as the core DB editor?

Core = official? Then yes (compatible). However the first release of this Pre-Beta seems to have a small bug that avoids it from opening with the Season Planner (Tour de Vendee w/o stages). Once that is corrected, there should be no problem loading a save game in the Season Planner.

Ahh thank you. Is there any semi-easy way to delete the TD Vendee from the game, so I can play this whilst waiting for the full release?

You can delete it in STA_race, but it might be easier to just correct this bug. Open the DB with an editor, go to STA_stage and find the stage with ID 5057 (the last one). Apparently everything is already filled (I haven't downloaded it so I can't really confirm on this) and you just need to add the number 539 on fkIDrace.

But well you can play it without correcting this small bug, you'll only not be able to open a savegame with Season Planner + there might be 1 or 2 bugs on career gameplay I think, but well the point of the Pre-Beta isn't really going for a career experience Wink

Sorry if this has been said earlier, but due to copy right laws, Mega Upload can not be accessed. I only decided to download the pre-beta today, and completely forgot about this. How long before the beta? If it is still going to be a while, would it be possible to have part two hosted somewhere else? Thanks guys, keep up the good work!

You can still download it from one of the other servers.
