Great job Pellizotti, awesome stages. All of them look actaully very challenging, not a race for sprinters. And with the Vuelta a Andalucia 2011 route messed up in game a bit ( well the prologue ) I am sure using this version instead for my story, Gesink will be in heaven
Superb

Just like Alakagom said, great work, especially as we think of the messed up original version Stage five looks indeed like the best one! Stagemaker of the year, you are

Already said, but no problem repeating it: great race, very hilly, and gets an awesomeness bonus because it'll replace the crappy version by Cyanide Gotta agree with tsmoha on this one

I'm glad to hear you liked the Andalucia. The crappy Cyanide version was the reason I decided to do a more realistic version for this, so it's nice to hear that it's appreciated.
Also, thanks a lot to everyone who voted for me as stagemaker of the year. Second place behind such great guy like emmea feels like a win to me. I'll do my best to keep up!
Lastly, just for info, I'll move back into business by doing a few of the recently released 2012 Vuelta. The mountains will obviously go first, but I'll do as many as my motivation allows me to, so stay around for some work coming up in the next days.

First '12 Vuelta stage finiished!
Stage 20 - Segovia > Bola del Mundo
La Bola returns next year, once again as the penultimate day. The route is quite similar to the one used two year's ago, but this time there's a few more climbs on the route as well. Together with the final climb, the stage's hardness is created by the Navafria, Canencia, Morcuera and Cotos Puerto climbs. Just after the top of the latest of those, the riders will also pass Puerto de Navacerrada, and the road leading up to the finish line, which they will return to later in the stage.
And, for those who like myself, prefers to play this stage without the final steep part to the Bola, I'm also offering an easier version, finishing on top of the Navacerrada, never to take on the Bola. Not sure anyone else might wanna use this, but I don't really like those incredibly steep climbs like the Bola finale.
Download package includes both stages, with the easier one named V2.

The blur effect on the picture looks quite strange, but the pic still looks nice. The profile of the stage is great, as I assume the overall stage is - pity I don't have PCM 11 here to test it.

Helicopter view's fault, not mine.
Oh, and thanks!

Thank you! And no, I didn't do it on narrow roads, because I prefer a nice gameplay more than a realistic road.
Numba' two up!
Stage 14 - Palas de Rei > Puerto de Ancares
Yet another of the many hard mountain stages in this Vuelta. This time the finish is on the Ancares, after some easier climbs earlier in the day. It's not as hard as the Bola, but it's still one of the best opportunities for the overall contenders to challenge each other.

PS: The jersey on the winning rider is blurred because I want to keep it secret until the team presentations in my story.

A narrow road at the end of the stage usually won't be a big problem because of the climb before.
I don't use the 1 spline road unless there's something special with the road/climb. Ex Finestre, gravel roads, Zoncolan etc. Bola del Mundo is in my opinion a "special" climb.
But, yes, in general the block system destroys the fun with 1 spline roads.

I don't know, but I spot something that might have given away the team. |

Nice stage again. Tbh I didn't really understand why the blurred rider... you tested the stage in your career? Btw maybe you should have also blurred the equipment... They don't change with sponsors =P

@ Johan: Hm... you make a good point. I think I'll create a version two of that stage later today, with narrow roads in the final for those wanting it.
@ freitas: Damn you!
@ luigi: First: thanks
Secondly, it's a long story. I've replaced the 2011 shirts with the 2012 ones, or as in this case, a whole new one for those teams changing sponsor completely. Therefore the teams has received their new jerseys also in stage mode. So no, I didn't test it in my career. And I'm not too worried about the equipment, as it doesn't give away the identity of the team anyway.
Next ones will be Covadonga, and then Fuente Dé.

Greetings and thanks. |

Glad you like it Teddy. And sam, I somehow missed your post before and just saw it. Due to low motivation atm I've taken a little break from doing requested stages at the moment. Therefore I won't take any requests right now.
I haven't really used the stage editor at all in the recent weeks, but I've created a small race which I decided to upload. It's a circuit around the city of Seraing, just outside Liège. The route is quite hilly with two climbs on each lap. The finish is down by the river, just north of Seraing. The flat run-in gives the non-punchers a chance to recover a bit and challenge in the sprint.
La Flèche Seraingèse
Can you reupload this one?
