I think the worst thing you can do is force yourself to report even if you don't really want to (I experienced that myself). I don't think you have any sort of obligation here
So

Thanks for the advice I do hope I can get atleast a stage out this weekend though. Usually when I have more time/all day to think about it, I feel more inclined to report a stage.
Nice pic though

Today is only the first stage of the race, so it will be a day where most riders will look for signs of weakness in the other contenders. Kreuziger is riding his first race of the season, but he will still be leader. If he can't compete I will become the leader, but I don't expect myself to do any better that he would. The startlist is filled with climbers and punchuers and even Contador is here, so this should be a very exciting race!
Here we have the break of the day, consisting of 10 riders, who are out here to get the teams sponsors a little more TV time. Sky stayed out of this breakaway, gambling on the fact that its the first stage and teams will be eager to get a win.
As we can see, Lampre, and Leopard are doing the majority of the work at the front.
On the final climb before the finishing hill, I can't keep up with the pace being done by the Lampre and Leopard guys, and so I drop back to what eventually becomes the main peloton, or chasing group.
These are the leaders of the race, and although they are within sight on the descent, there's no way, I'm ever going to be close enough to pick out who is who again, on this stage, my day is over.
As we start the final climb to the finish, the breakaway has been swept up, and Contador makes his move for the line. He doesn't get too far though, and drops back into the group negating his attack of little use.
Moments later, Kreuziger goes, this time he gets almost 20 seconds lead on the group surely strong enough to hold on for the win!
But he starts his mad dash for the line and somehow they're back with him. This is anybody's stage now!
And the Little Prince takes it in a sprint, something he does do alright in. It was a disappointing result for Roman who looked good for a win, but he just cracked as the gradient kept getting steeper, and Cunego was able to time his sprint the best.
I did return to the back of the main group by the finish line, in time to see a Lampre rider celebrate Cunego's win, so the fact I made it back to the group is an alright sign. See you tommorow!

Like cunego said, report when you want.
Great screens and close win by Cunego. He's doing well in a lot of stories right now.

Vuelta Ciclista al Pais Vasco - Stage 2
April 5th, 2013
Well were on to stage two now, and Kreuziger showed yesterday that he's in pretty decent shape for his first few race days of the season. For me, I'm trying to work my way up into decent shape in order to get a respectable result at Paris Roubaix. I don't think I will ever beat the Canadian record in my career but who knows unless you try. A break could make it etc. Today is going to be a miserable stage with the howling wind and downpours, so hopefully there'll be some nice warm drinks at the finish line.
Race Report
This is not the way I had wanted to start the stage. I hit the ground pretty hard, but luckily it was only scrapes and bruises. Nothing that would stop me from carrying on. I made it back to the front of the peloton in a matter of minutes as the peloton's pace was extremely slow.
The breakaway had 9 minutes lead with 100km left, and there were a few big names. Hincapie, Juraj Sagan, Ivan Basso, Thomas Dekker and Arnold Jeanneson.
The peloton tried to bring the group back, but with 10km left it looked like the break would stay away, so Dekker went for the glory and attacked the group. He pulled out a small gap but a few km's later he was brought back into the 14 man group.
Ignatiev was pulling really hard at the front to try and bring the break back, who only had a minute gap with 5 km to go. The breakaway was getting closer with every pedal stroke.
But a crash with 3km to go hindered any chance of the main peloton getting to the breakaway, or atleast we thought. The breakaway was battling it out between each other and didn't think the peloton was going to reach them a miss communication by all the teams managers and so a select few sprinters were able to join the break.
And its JJ Rojas taking the stage win, with a massive gap to the others behind him. He really showed he was the top sprinter here today!

Crash-stage.. it started as a bad day for David, but in the end, you can be satisfied with a Top-20 here... and btw: Speaking of the Canadian record for Paris-Roubaix.. which placement has David to achieve to beat this record?

Yeah, I was happy that he didn't have any lingering injuries.
As for P-R, Steve Bauer came 2nd in 1990 so David must win to hold the Canadian record!

And thanks everyone else! 18th is quite a nice result, and 12 in the GC is fairly nice too!
@ Sutty - I switch to Legacy Defending for offline. Its exactly like last years system so its much more enjoyable for me. But if you play online it resets it back to Tactical so be aware of that. I have a lot of crazy good teams in Ultimate Team
