Garmin - End of 3rd Season - Continue in PCM11
tsmoha
Bad luck with Rojas, but I think you did right to quit the race.. again good results with Bobridge and LL Sanchez within the Top-10!

janne_837
Much crashing in this stage race Shock

roturn
@ tsmoha: thanks. Luckily there were not very much attacks and Bobridge had luck that gene_f_timegap was set to 20, otherwise he would have lost 2min now like almost 100 other riders.

I had much luck with crashes this season, just this one annoying injury with Martin in the Giro and now again in Eneco, so I can`t really complain Wink

Actually the GP Ouest France - Plouay took part now but I will post it between Eneco Tour and Vuelta.

Eneco Tour - Stage 7
Bilzen - Heers

The last flat stage before the final ITT tomorrow. Neither the few hills in the middle nor the downhill pavement should be a problem for most riders. Unfortunately we lost both sprinters, but if the sprint is quite weird again, we will have chances with our overall riders to get another top 10 result as both of them have very good sprint stats for non sprinters with ~66-68.

img690.imageshack.us/img690/9137/pcm0040.jpg
6 riders around Timmer (Skil) and Possoni (Sky) build the group today.
We failed to send one guy into this group.

img40.imageshack.us/img40/1600/pcm0041.jpg
On the very windy roads the peloton splits. Sanchez and Bobridge are in the first group.

img534.imageshack.us/img534/5682/pcm0042a.jpg
Led by Leopard and surprisingly Nibali for Liquigas the closed peloton climbs the last hill of today. As expected both our riders without bigger problems here.

img233.imageshack.us/img233/1285/pcm0047u.jpg
On the pavements Cancellara attacks. He has good chances to win the overall with the timetrial tomorrow but he wants to secure it more. Nobody can follow him, also Timmer gets caught now as last of the group.

img140.imageshack.us/img140/4550/pcm0048s.jpg
The Suisse favourite wins the stage but wasn`t able to create a bigger gap. But 10s less to catch up with Chainel. Except of Stetina all our riders finished in the peloton. Our young American talent had big problems in the end after yesterday`s crash.

And quick 4 more transfers, as all riders have found a new team now.

img94.imageshack.us/img94/4649/nibalik.jpg
Nibali signed a 2-year contract with Lampre-ISD. So he follows his former team mate Basso one year later. Together with Cunego these 3 can definitely be competive in all GT`s and will be one of the strongest stage race teams in 2012.

img64.imageshack.us/img64/5397/schleck.jpg
Frank Schleck will support Alberto Contador next year to beat his brother Andy. Wink Astana promised him the leader role in the Ardennes.
Together with Soler these 3 will perform great in the mountains.

img338.imageshack.us/img338/1198/lemevel.jpg
Also Le Mevel was able to find a new team. He follows Sandy Casar to Team Movistar. After Sanchez and Soler left Movistar and they are close to fail in the Pro Tour this year they have two good climbers now next to
Arroyo.

img40.imageshack.us/img40/7261/davezabriskie01.jpg
But my favourite transfer is definitely this one. We asked him several times to renew his contract but he had so many good offers. Then we signed other riders and there was no more room for him. Then he surprised the whole cycling world with his big new team.
In 2012 he will ride for the small Verandas team. Well, he might be their leader for sure Grin

Fränk to Astana omg!!!!

lluuiiggii
Frank to... Astana?? Wow I would never have seen that coming =P

roturn
It`s PCM Grin
In my 2009 career it was Andy joining Astana. Then he was just riding the Vuelta and Contador Giro+Tour.

But it could be possible that he will ge back to Leopard later as I changed the nationality to Luxembourg.

Why don't you use the editor when this strange transfers happen? I usually renew the contract of a rider for one more season. I remember i used this with a previous carrer, when L.L. Sanchez went to CCC Polsat after the 2nd season.

I am honestly thinking about Cataldo and Cafe Colombia Grin
Because this is just a transfer of a great rider in 2011 to a small team.

But Frank to Astana is okay for me. Strange yes. But therefore Gesink and Evans are going to Leopard.

Alakagom
I find that edting transfers is slightly cheating, I can't explain how it is, but PCM is a game and imo is part of the fun ( most times ) to see what the AI will do. I don't edit any transfers with few exceptions.

Can't wait for tt, hopefully Bobridge and Sanchzes will go up overall afterwards Smile

I agree with roturn: I would only change absolutely weird transfers.. I changed Vinokourov's move to Saxo once. Vinokourov leaving Astana is definitely unrealistic Wink

@Alakagon
Agree to you. Normally the teams react quite fast on those transfers.
Fuglsang -> Evans
Schleck -> Gesink

But sometimes it`s annyoing if great riders are transferred to a Continental team.
Ricco for example didn`t participate in the Tour and also not in the Vuelta for Skil-Shimano and had just 10-20 race days.
Ciolek with Milram also just in 22 race days in Continental division.
So Cataldo might also have quite less races next season.
This is why I think about Cataldo.

Actually I just realized that I am not 100% sure what tables to change to undo a transfer like Cataldo`s Grin
I don`t want to try to much with as I don`t want to destroy this career.

Also something mixed in the screenshot folder, so some pictures are missing here including the Garmin riders.

It`s not the longest time trial but as Chainel is very weak in this discipline Cancellara is the top favourite for the overall. We hope to imporve a bit with our leaders but staying in the top 10 with both of them is most important for us.

img401.imageshack.us/img401/6354/pcm0050.jpg
Rosseler is also a rider with good chances to improve in the overall. A very good time for him.
22'53

img227.imageshack.us/img227/3650/pcm0051.jpg
Rabon is obviously also in a good shape here and beats his time by 4s.
22'49

img98.imageshack.us/img98/9353/pcm0052.jpg
The next one is Gusev. He can`t beat their times, but still not bad.
23'20

Luis Leon Sanchez with a good time trial but a few seconds slower than Rabon. He did very well in his preparation for the Vuelta. Hope to do well in the Vuelta.
22'56

Jack Bobridge spent too much energy on the hills and cobbles but he will keep his top 10 overall.
23'24

img59.imageshack.us/img59/1563/pcm0053z.jpg
Cancellara is definitely the best time trialist and shows it again today.
He beats all earlier times.
22'25

img15.imageshack.us/img15/1955/pcm0054.jpg
Chainel will lose his lead but he will be 2nd in the end. This gives new hope for Team Europcar in the fight for the ProTour license.

In general Cancellara deserved this win. Our team did very well in the overall with Sanchez on 4, missing the podium by 2s and Bobridge on 8 and winning the U25 ranking. Definitely one of his biggest results in his young carreer. Rowe with his best performance so far for Garmin but unfortunately he lost about 30 positions after the final ITT.
Also our doc informed us that Rojas feels much better now and can ride the Vuelta without pain.

I don`t want to try to much with as I don`t want to destroy this career.

In dyn_contract_cyclist you have to delete the line with the contract of Cataldo to Cafe Colombia and modify from 2011 to 2012 on his current one.

roturn
And what about the lines in DYN_transfer and DYN_transfer_precontact?
There is also his ID with Colombias`s Id?

shin0da_13
They don't matter.

roturn
Ok Thanks. Will think about it.

Maybe some others have an opinion about this transfer.
Should I undo the transfer
Cataldo -> Cafe Colombia
or not?
I always liked the spring races in 2011 fighting against Tony Martin and Cataldo and this transfer is totally weird.

Next report of GP Plouay tomorrow afternoon probably.

tsj
Defo change the transfer.

Alakagom
Agreed, but be very carefull not to mess up the save.

Well, roturn can always copie the save and do the changes in copie, then he can try in game if it works and if it has no conflicts...it´s ok,then just continue with it or do the same in original save...about the changes,...i think it spoils the fun to see such good rider(Cataldo or other one)in a small team...doesn´t make sense..
