Thank you all Sorry for the really slow updating, but last Monday started a school placement for two weeks, and I am really busy. Hopefully some more this weekend.
4. July
Two new hot rumours: Franco Pellizotti seems to be a possible transfer for Lampre, while Team Katusha is reputated to be interested to sign Thor Hushovd, who is probably pretty frustrated that he can not defend his points jersey.
Tour de France
Stage 1: Rotterdam - Bruxelles, 228,4 km
A typical flat stage of the Tour de France. Though the last kilometers are a bit hilly (at least in the game), this stage should end in a bunch sprint. A good oppurtunity to see the favorites for Green this year.
Real life last kilometers
https://www.youtub...W01VR69x4s
Our goals:
- No time loss (Armstrong, Klöden, Leipheimer, Popovych, Paulinho, Horner, Brajkovic)
- Top 10 (Rast)
Favourites:
Mark Cavendish (SP 84, ACC 85, HIL 67)
Tyler Farrar (SP 82, ACC 76, HIL 66)
Óscar Freire (SP 80, ACC 83, HIL 74)
Tom Boonen (SP 79, ACC 75, HIL 73)
André Greipel (SP 81, ACC 80, HIL 63)
My tip:
I have the feeling that this finish might be too hard for Cav, so a sprinter with good puncheur abilities like Freire or Boasson hagen will win today.

Depart in Rotterdam.
Seven rider in the first early breakeaway of this Tour: Two belgian which should be have some extra motivation today, Johan Van Summeren (Garmin) and Greg Van Avermaet (Omega Pharma). Surprisingly José JoaquÃn Rojas (Caisse), who also would be strong enough for a sprint finish. And some other guys: The 8th overall, Benoît Vaugrenard (FDJ), Linus Gerdemann (Milram), Marcin Sapa (Lampre) and Rémy Cusin (Cofidis).
We are still in the Netherlands, in Roodewijk, where we saw the first intermediate sprint of this years Tour de France.

Linus Gerdemann (Milram) 4
Rémy Cusin (Cofidis) 2
With 105km to go, the pack still was eight minutes down. But they already upped the pace, main teams which worked in front were QuickStep (Boonen), Rabobank (Freire), Liquigas (Bennati) and Colombia (Cavendish/Martin).
Welcome in Belgium! The breakaway at the second points sprint in Putte (Kapellen).

The last intermediate sprint today, in Ekeren. Still 70km to go.

Greg Van Avermaet (Omega Pharma) 2
With 17,6 km to the finish, the last escapees are caught. Mass sprint!
The pace was extreme high, and Grégory Rast tired out, no chance for him for sprinting today. In this case, we wanted to launch our secret ukrainian sprint weapon...
The situation with 2600m to the line: At the left Jerôme Pineau as leadout for Boonen. Mirco Lorenzetto (Surprisingly not Petacchi), Robbie McEwen, Edvald Boasson Hagen, Daniele Bennati, Allan Davis, Óscar Freire, Anthony Geslin and Marc Cavendish behind Boonen.
Only two notable sprinter at the right, Danilo Napolitano, with Yaroslav Popovych at his backwheel.
1500m to go, and Tom Boonen with a powerful acceleration! Mirco Lorenzetto, Robbie McEwen, Edvald Boasson Hagen and Daniele Bennati still in Boonens slipstream. At the other side, we see Popovych fighting for a Top10. But where is Petacchi, where is Cavendish, where is Greipel?
700m to the line, and Tom Boonen still does not seems tired! At least the other rider are not able to accelerate out of his slipstream...
...and this did not change anymore until the finish! Tom Boonen wins the first stage of the Tour de France 2010, with showing some old power in a really nice sprint. Congrats! Mirco Lorenzetto, who surprised with a good performance, and Edvald Boasson Hagen fulfill the podium.
Yaroslav Popovych with a really good sprint, too, he crossed the line as 8th! Another nice sprint result for the ukrainian

Congrats to Tom Boonen! What a nice sprint from him, going alone the last 1500 m. A weak performance from Colombia, Cavendish only finished 17th, Greipel 38th. For us, it was a pretty nice stage, with a nice Top10 from Popovych.

8th in a sprint with Popovych is quite good.

Thank you Popovych already looks great again, and I am already loking forward to see him at the flat stages at the last week, when he have some adventages because of his recovery
5. July
Two new rider signed contracts with RadioShack! I will announce our transfers later, but I will give you some clues, so if you want to guess, you can try
The first rider is already a really successfull sprinter at another story at this forum. Though he is not able to compete with a guy like Cavendish, we signed him because of his strong acceleration and his abilities to survive hills better than most of the other sprinters. And with his good recovery, he might be a contender for a points jersey at one GT.
The second rider is a real-life transfer from RadioShack, too. He is quite similar to the first rider, a bit weaker at the hills and recovery, but with a better end speed at sprints.
Bad news, too: Haimar Zubeldia did not seems very happy about his omission for the 2010 Tour de France, so he signed a contract with another team. Footon-Servetto guaranteed him the leadership in their team, and I can understand that Haimar can not ignore such a offer.
Tour de France
Stage 2: Bruxelles - Spa, 195,2 km
Another interesting stage in Belgium which covers some parts of the hilly spring classics. Though this stage is way to easy for the overall contenders, a puncheur with good acceleration skills, like Andy Schleck or Samuel Sánchez, could surprise with an attack at the Col du Rosier and even gain some seconds. Or we will see a sprint out of a bigger group, but we will see if any sprinter make it to this group and gain a advantage in the points classification.

Our goals
- No time loss (Armstrong, Klöden, Leipheimer, Popovych, Paulinho, Horner, Brajkovic)
Favourites
Samuel Sánchez (HIL 81, RES 78, STA 75)
Philippe Gilbert (HIL 83, RES 76, STA 81)
Andy Schleck (HIL 81, RES 78, STA 76)
Alberto Contador (HIL 79, RES 79, STA 75)
Ryder Hesjedal (HIL 78, RES 73, STA 77)
My tip
Gilbert. That would be a great victory, his first stage victory at the Tour while we are in Belgium and he wears the belgian jersey! He have to be motivated for todays stage...

You are both right with the first rider! José Joaquin Rojas is exactly what we need, a good sprinter who is able to survive hills. Steegmans of course is faster, but not able to sprint at hilly stages. (Roturn: I hope you are not angry because I signed him )
The second one is wrong (Though McEwen is avaible, we will not sign him because he is too old). C'mon, there is only one other new sprinter from RadioShack who you did not mentioned
Depart in Bruxelles.
Perwez, the first points sprint for todays stage, and six rider in front: Matthias Brändle (Footon), Nick Nuyens (Rabobank), Fabian Wegmann (Milram), Kurt-Asle Arvesen (Sky), Romain Sicard (Euskaltel) and Lars Ytting Bak (Colombia). Between them and the peloton, three other rider are trying to join the escapees, Martin Elmiger (AG2R), Manuel Quinziato (Liquigas) and Jelle Vanendert (Omega Pharma).

In Coo (Stavelot), 25km before the finish, the breakaway is still in the lead. But it is already sure that they will not come through... Interesting: After the Col de Stockeu, the pack splits into two big groups, and some big names like Ryder Hesjedal, Sandy Casar, Christophe Le Mével or Bradley Wiggins failed to get into the first one!

The break is caught, and the rider hit the Col du Rosier! An early attack form Gilbert (and Armstrong at his backwheel) failed, now Sérgio Paulinho, who felt great today, with an acceleration! Kim Kirchen and Samuel Sánchez try to follow...
Col du Rosier, C3. But as you can see on the top, Paulinho and Kirchen were unsuccessfull. But at least, Sérgio got 4 mountain points Astana upped the pace, so we saw no other attacks. Interesting to see: Vinokourov worked for Contador!

2km to go, the sprint is off. Unfortunately, Yaroslav Popovych was not well positioned today (I TOLD HIM THAT HE HAVE TO FOLLOW LEVI, BUT HE DECIDED TO RELAX AND STAY AT THE BACK OF THE GROUP ). So its up to Chris Horner, Levi Leipheimer and Andreas Klöden to make a Top10 today.
900m to go. As expected, Cancellara is in front, but Andy Schleck comes from behind with highspeed, with Levi Leipheimer at his backwheel. The winner is...
...Andy Schleck, who beats Levi by a few centimetres! Nonetheless a nice second for Levi. Horner finished 4th, a good result, too, Klöden 10th, Paulinho 12th, Popovych 15th and Armstrong 21th. All favourites for the overall are in this first group, except...
...Bradley Wiggins! After a horrible day, he finished 107th and lost 2'13" on the winner!

I am already looking forward to tomorrows stage. The cobbles might have a big influence on the whole stage race! BTW, who wants to bet? Is it possible that Fabian Cancellara will NOT conquer the leader jersey tomorrow

2nd and 4th is good. Can your 2nd new signing be Cardoso?

Good result with all of your riders.
Cardoso was also my next guess after looking at the team squad in 2011. But except of Hunter and McEwen none of them should be a better sprinter than Rojas, except Cardoso improved very well.

If your having trouble positioning Popo, try putting him on 99 dot like 3 seconds before you assign him to follow Levi. The percentage of him following is higher that way. Atleast, I find.

Good results.
As for the other sprinter, my guess is the same as roturn's, Manel Cardoso.

The successfull rider was Rojas, in roturn's Garmin story.
