Kinda ironic how i always tend to do a lot better in the most important ranking (PR) than in WR despite trying to win the WR Ranking
well I disagree with that - WT is about who scores most in the best races isn't it? Prestige Ranking is more important for CT I guess becuase it's about who can promote, but for WT teams the WT ranking should matter most shouldn't it?
Prestige is for the next year budget tho so most teams probably care the most about that one. But CT is for the promotion battle. And WT is just interesting for the Top 3 and Bottom 3 really. With the great diversity in WT you have to be balanced and have multiple leaders to be on top, so I guess most team managers just prefer their "genre" of racing. As long as I don't fail in securing WT, I myself care more about some CT events than the cobblez when it comes to my riders.
For me the fact that there is no benefit for doing well in WT Rankings aside of avoid relegation while PR success gets rewarded with an increase in budget is a clear sign that PR is more important. I also feel every race day should be important so that you cannot sign 10 min wage guys and send them to the races that don't count.
However, i can understand the argument of biggest races and as said before I would prefer to win the WT ranking this season as I have won the PR in the past already.
Deutschland Tour started brilliantly for me. Kittel clearly the strongest sprinter there and he could even defend the lead over the first hilly stages. Not sure if I'm happy about it because PCM might screw leadership up and I need my team to work for Betancur.
@Shonak: Due to not being allowed to train Kittel to 83SP, I used the yearly progression to train him on the puncheur path (one year even climber). Thus, he was 70Hi for the second season and 72Hi for the third (if I remember correctly)

I've been working on a new Archive File for some while, but didn't progress much in the last few weeks, so I thought I share how much I have until now, in case someone is interested in using it: https://www.dropbox.com/s/sqs0ihk60qg....xlsm?dl=0
The file works with macros, so can probably only be used with excel. The previous file with all the formulas was just too heavy to use imo. Most stuff is pretty easy to understand. I will post a detailed overview/guide on it when finishing the file. The Riders tab is already finished, at the teams you can at least see the results, but not yet the riders in the teams and for the Races you can only see the podiums at the moment. The results are updated until the end of the 2016 season.
I hope I have completed the file soon, but can't promise anything, if you have any ideas on what to include in there let me know. |

Stages 6-8 from Deutschland Tour and La Juraassienne are u+++p.
La Jurasseine can be viewed later here
https://www.youtu...e=youtu.be
Spoiler Echelons on the last stage of Deutschland Tour but unfortunately PCM took the same time for 90 riders, meh. Could have overhauled the GC singificantly

Well, as I said, back down to Earth with a bang. Not good enough from Yates, though he did at least pip Geschke and Clarke to the best Simon classification.
I preferred last year's route anyway.

Very nice work by Serry there, too bad Van Poppel couldn't get a stage win.
Thanks for the reports, Shonak!
Changed my sig, this was getting absurd.

Wow great results from Lutsenko again, especially that stage win. After the penultimate stage he was still 3rd on the same time with Betancur, but gave it all on the final sprint stage to leapfrog Betancur. |

What a beatiful surprise win in our home race. I expected Greipel to shine, but instead Polanc stepped up and made a great race.
On the another race i enjoyed to see the team controlling the peloton, but my smile a little bit frozened in the end. Anyway, it was a good race too |

Another very solid race from Caruso in 4th, but looking at the video it even feels a little bit disappointing because he seemed to have the best speed in the end. Cambianca though makes up for that with a massive overperformance.
Thanks for another report Shonak.

Very nice race for us with Nordhaug and Vichot doing better than I expected, kinda regret not taking Kwiatkowski now though as he probably could've done very well but the race days threw me off. Still really happy with Nordhaug.
Thanks for the results Shonak!

Battaglin did very well in Germany, while Aru has done pretty bad in La Jurasseine

Frustrating race in Germany for us, with Moser who lost time earlier and couldn't improve on a top 30. Zilioli our best rider, just outside the top 10 ala EPIC BMC, and well, we certainly got a fair few 11th places throughout the race too. Once an 11th place finisher, always an 11th place finisher.
Nothing happens so far in Guatemala on Alitalia's front.

Kwiatek crashing in Guatemala is a shame Hope he at least gets back to still make something out of this race.
Thanks again Shonak!

Good start for Dombro and great ride by Davies. Very impressive stuff being in the same group as Van den Broeck and beating some seriously good climbers.

Uploading the video for stage 5 now, pure insanity.. 1.5 GB, attacks from the favourites from the gun. See you in an hour!

Stages 3 to 6 of Guatemala up now. Video for stage 5 here: https://www.youtu...e=youtu.be
Spoiler I don't know what drugs my team was on but I want some of that for me too. MVP was scary good.
Quintana in the form of his life.
Many teams with bad luck here.. Pinot redeemed himself but Spilak completely lost form in that crash, on the day Pelucchi won. Coppel with -5 day if I have ever seen one on stage 5 (Goulout got a stage win the next day tho), and Kwiatek crashed on stage 1 but tried to get back with all or nothing. Very unlucky for some teams.
