After following protocol in the Vote-In by finishing 2nd, Sagan marched his way back to the final. The back-to-back World RR Champion is looking to become the first cyclist to win this contest twice, in consecutive years as well. Nibali tried to do the same thing in 2014 (Season 5), but lost to Marcel Kittel in the Finals.
Then there is Contador. He has gotten far in the contest before, but could never get over the final hurdles. This is his first time making the podium. He'll have to outclimb the sprinter if he wants the title. Much like Nibali did in 2014 (Season 4).
Third place goes to Jungels for receiving more of a percentage of the votes than Gilbert in their match-ups. This is the first time Jungels has made the podium.
