Yates, I think he'll crack on stage 19/20, Dumoulin will be in peak form and it's unsure wether Pozzo/Pinot can distance him..
In my head Dumoulin has taken a big step into winning the Giro today, I honestly don't see Yates hanging onto his form but onto a podium place I think he can.

I may still be so oblivious but I´ve said it ever since Etna and I´ll keep saying it, Yates will crack, he entered the Giro so strong that it´s hard for me to believe he-ll keep onto it until the end, unlike essentially all others who entered with less form in the race
So it begins
Ever since Etna I had a feeling this would happen, I´m aware that this stage as nothing to do with the next two, but Yates completely cracked, and he´ll still have to face at least 4/5 45+−minute climbs. Maybe Froome has came to his senses definetely, imo NOT too late to win the Giro but that would take a serious raid in Finestre tomorrow which I do find likely).. Dumoulin is in peak form, seems like his preparation for the final week is now obvious.. Pinot out of the podium run sadly.. Pozzo very strong but he´ll have to race smart as he won´t have a team in the high mountains

Who knows but the stage and the climbs are very different tomorrow - repetition of climbing then a much steeper finish, where the lightweights have the advantage over the TT turned climber.
This was the best stage left for Tom and he took around 30 seconds BUT it will now kick off early and if someone is genuinely starting to fade it will become very obvious tomorrow and minutes can go in the blink of an eye.
Can't wait, should be a great couple of stages

The problem for who want to make hard next stages is that MS team looks better than immediate chasers Tom and Pozzo, so they need help from Astana Mvistar and Sky that today were good, and seems are suited for these last couple of stages

Tomorrrow Superman to wreck Italy.
Basically, everything is here for the greatest day of racing all year: Leader has shown weakness, gaps which allow for epic racing, riders coming in form and liking their odds. The people demand blood!

I'm so happy that I'll be able to watch the full stage live tomorrow, it's like a sign from above and it promises to be a monster stage

Won't be able to watch the next two stages, but I'll be checking this forum which, lets be honest, is all you need anyway

Colle del Lys:
Colle delle Finestre
Sestriere (last 16,2 km, from Pourrieres)
Monte Jafferau (till Hotel Belvedere)
Jafferau featured twice in Giro. 1972 and 2013. The winners were Merckx and Santambrogio.
But this is not the main thing I'm gonna talk about.
Part 2 soon.
EDIT: (Tried a write-up but there were some problems within the post, the photos weren't shown, the same things were in twice despite me constantly deleting etc. so fully deleted it, no part 2)

Great stage. Nothing against Schachmann but a little bored of Quickstep winning, would have loved to have seen one of the others pull it off, would have meant so much to their teams. |

Will Yates crack big time, can Froome do the impossible and win the Giro or will Tom steamroller all these hopes?
As for the others Lopez looks to be good at the end of the Giro, Pozzovivo still plugging away and Pinot showing some recovery problems.
Is there smow of Finestre?

I think it will be an achievement if he actually finishes on the podium.
