Evans is average height, but quite muscular compared to other GC men. He looks like cyclists did before AICAR and EPO
Hasn't the average cyclist grown in size at the same time that HGH was used and abused in the peloton ? |

This forum and the people posting replies are annoying me more and more.
Why?
- The cursing that seems to be unlimited sometimes.
- Being happy when a rider performs not as good as hoped, liked Mollema finishing "only" in 11th place today, whereas it is a pretty good result.
- Some riders or teams are criticized a lot, whereas others just have bad luck. Like people laughing at Mollema when he almost crashed in that final corner, while feeling sorry for Peraud who took way too much risk in that descend with a broken collarbone.
- Guys like Riis123something and jackd (or so) that are completely without respect for any person at this forum nor for the riders that aren't their favourites.
- Issoisso being pretty arrogant towrds everybody that has a different opinion than his on almost any subject, even though he's right in his comments quite often.
- And how the heck do you have the time to keep on posting replies when the stage is going on?? I'm watching the stage, and have no time for a computer......
And my comments about the race:
- Froome: as expected. Even more because of the wet roads in that final descend.
- COntador: Pretty good job!!
- Rodriguez: Ehm, didn't this guy used to be pretty bad in TT? Even though the route was very hilly...
- Mollema: did a good job while having bad legs. I fear that his shot at a podium is gone now, but all must admit that he's doing great. And why ther hate towards him by some? He's a nice guy, without arrogance, and has a great attitude.
- Kreuziger: always underperforming in GT's, so what is the secret weapon of Riis?

He has spent lots of time training in wind tunnels with Michael Rich to improve his TT position. And as you said, today's course was extremely hard and favoured climbers over actual timetriallists.

I believe the "hate" is mostly based on annoyance over Belkin's controversial tactics on the crosswind stage.

+ technical road for J-Rod, plus TT happening in the third week, so favouring guys with a good recuperation.
I wasn't surprised by his result (I know it's always easy to say that after the stage...) |

After Dauphine he said the wind tunnel work was useless and it didn't help him at all. Also said he would be back to his normal position for the Tour. The article was on cyclingnews if you want search for it.
Anyway, today's TT as you say was extremely hard, that's just it.

I completly agree with your arguments about the forum, especially about Riis. 90% of his post is hating on Belkin.

Mollema overshot the corner more than peraud.

Mollema actually hit the barrier, whereas Peraud's bike just slid out from under him
Tuft was saying in the preview that some corners look like fast sweepers, only to get gradually tighter
it's possible that Mollema didn't reco that corner
also props to Peraud for even starting the stage
also looked like a foolish move for Saxo not to switch to a TT bike, especially considering Velits's time gain during that last section (took about a minute out of VanGarderen) |

Biggest fault of Contador was doing the first descent with a back disc
