I know, but with Schleck, Gesink and Sagan already on the team, it would be almost too strong for me to have fun playing (but for sure I wanna sign him in th efuture)

Anyway, the season preview is done. Now I need some time in making the season planning and training schedules. Hopefully, the first races will come in the beginning of next week.
One more thing: does someone know how to getrid of these pink boxes next to the rider's names (as with EBH)??

You need to add a minilogo for the respective team afaik. Nice preview, looking forward to the new season.

For instance:
- I changed Leopard (Leox) to Domino's (DCC).
- I changed the names of all the dcc equipment to leox, for instance dcc_maillot to leox_maillot, and dcc_minilogo to leox_minilogo and placed them in the right folder.
- In the PCM Fast editor, I also changed the jersey_sz_abbreviation from leox to dcc.
- The files I used, have the same type and size as the original files.
So what's wrong with this? What to do?

it's because you changed the
dcc equipment to leox, for instance dcc_maillot to leox_maillot, and dcc_minilogo to leox_minilogo and placed them in the right folder.
you need to keep it ddc_maillot and open a new folder called ddc to make it work change the jersey_sz_abbreviation back to leox |

Okay. But...... But when I put the leox_ files back in, with the dcc_ name, how does the game know to use these files?
So I'll put back the original leox_ files in the game, and a dcc map in: C:\Program Files (x86)\Cyanide\Pro Cycling Manager - Seizoen 2011\3D\Cyclists\Cloth\Team?
ANd also a dcc logo and minilogo in that map (C:\Program Files (x86)\Cyanide\Pro Cycling Manager - Seizoen 2011\Gui\team\logo and C:\Program Files (x86)\Cyanide\Pro Cycling Manager - Seizoen 2011\Gui\team\minilogo), so that that folder contains a leox (mini)logo and a dcc (mini)logo??
And finally a dcc_minimaillot in C:\Program Files (x86)\Cyanide\Pro Cycling Manager - Seizoen 2011\Gui\team_shirt??
Will this work?

Ok this is very confusing for me and I understood almost nothing, but if I got it right, you renamed DCC's files to Leox, and overwrote them, right? So why did you change in the Fast Editor Leox to dcc?
And btw, I don't know if this changes something, but if I'm not mistaken career uses the information from the sponsor rather from the team (DYN_team). So if you change something in DYN_team, you in fact need to change it in DYN_sponsor to change it in the game (I think, not sure though).

Confusing all you have to do is change the jersey_sz_abbreviation back to leox according to what you said in your previous post so just try that to start with. |

Our team
5 riders find each other in an early breakaway: Adam Hansen (Lotto_, Matthew Wilson (Garmin), Timothy Roe (Domino's), Jack Anderson (Kingspan) and Cameron Wurf (Liquigas).
With 74 kilometres remaining, 3 riders attack out of the peloton and try to close the gap to the leaders (+ 3'02): Richie Porte (Saxo), reigning champ Michael Matthews (United Health Care) and Cadel Evans (Katusha), who crashed earlier in the stage. Jack Bobridge missed the attack, as he just went to get some water bottles.... So he decides to rely on the 9-man GreenEdge team to catch the escapees.
Evans, Matthews and Porte close the gap to the 8 leaders, and with 28 kilometres to go, the gap to the peloton is 2'31.
In the ascend of the last hill, there are many attacks out of the peloton. Rory Sutherland (Christina) and Simon Gerrans (GreenEdge) are the first ones to attack, followed by Michael Rogers (Sky), Matthew Goss (GreenEdge), Heinrich Haussler (Rabobank) and Jack Bobridge. But 8 kilometres before the finish, the BOTD is stil over a minute in ahead.
Although Haussler and Gerrans tried to bridge the gap together, the 8 leaders will sprint for the win. And it's an easy win for Michael Matthews. He transferred from Rabobank to United Health Care and wins his 2nd consecutive national title. Jack Anderson gets 2nd, Matthew Wilson 3rd.
Jack Bobridge finishes in 13th place.

Note: I'm still figuring out how to handle with the graphics. I gave GreenEdge and Domino's a sponsor (with the PCM fast editor, in the DYN_team) and the jersey has changed to that sponsor.... It 'll possibly take some time before it is the way I want it...

After numerous frustrating attempts about the jerseys and logos not working the way I want them to work, I've decided to change the new teams....
I've used the custom jerseys/graphics that comes with the PCM daily database, so now we see the right jerseys, with the right logos for the right teams.
Sorry when it has become a bit confusing, so I'll give you a overview of the few changes:
- Team Domino's - Coca Cola (former Leopard) --> Team Sony Ericsson
- Team Nespresso (former Geox) --> stays Nespresso
- Team 1T4i (former Skil) --> Team M&M's
- Team GreenEdge (former HTC) --> Team Qantas
The new shirts:
Team Sony Ericsson
Team M&M's
Team Qantas

Our team
Jack Bobridge really felt the lack of form (41). He started pretty slow, with the goal to accelerate in the last part. Because of that, he got passed halfway by Sky's Michael Rogers. But were Rogers faded a bit, Bobridge was able to accelerate a bit. The result was the 12th time, 2'02 behind the winner. Michael Rogers by the way, finished in 2nd time, '22 behind today's winner.
That winner is Richie Porte (Saxo Bank - Sunguard). Porte did the same as Matthews in the road race, winning the Nationale championship for the 2nd year in a row.

The "real" season kicks off in Australia, for the Santous Tour Down Under.
Last edition was won by German Fabian Wegmann, who won a stage in a breakaway and won enough time to win the entire Tour. Monster Energy's Jack Bobridge surprised with the 4th place in the GC and the win in the KOTM-rankings.

The Santos Tour Down Under starts with a 149 kilometres long stage from Geeps Cross to Clare. The stage is pretty flat, with no categorized climbs in it. The finish is after a downhill part.
After the peloton catches a 18-man big breakaway, 2 riders get approval from the peloton to create a gap. Leif Hoste (Katusha) and Ignatas Konovalovas (Movistar) get a maximum gap of 3'30. Between them and the peloton rides a Farnese Vini-pair: Leopnardo Giordani and Otavio Bulgarelli. Hoste wins the first Intermediate sprint. The Farnese's are 1'49 behind and the peloton follws at 2'29. There are 77km remaining.
The peloton is in full control in the 27 kilometres from the first to the second Intermediate sprint. Hoste again wins the sprint, followed by Konovalovas. The Farnese-pair follows at 1'36 and the peloton at 2'52.
The domestiques from Lampre (Petacchi) and Sky (Cavendish) start to increase the pace and the 2 pairs have no chance. 22 kilometres before the finish in Clare, the peloton is fused again.
Nothing happens in the next 17 kilometres, as the riders settle for a mass sprint. But under the 5km-bow, Lieuwe Westra attacks and gets a maximum gap of 12 seconds. But Petacchi is in control, with 4 domestiques that form his lead out train, the gap gets smaller and smaller.
And 2500 metres before the finish, Westra is caught. Jens Keukeleire has chosen the wheel of Petacchi and is in 4th position. Behind him, he can see the rainbow jersey of Cavendish. Surely a nice position!
Petacchi has one leadout man left with 1500 metres to go. Francesco Gavazzi gives all he has got in his legs. Keukeleire still sits behind Petacchi.
The sprint has started by Leigh Howard (Qantas) and JJ Haedo (Saxo). 500 metres before the finish, Howard is in the lead, but Cavendish is coming fast! Keukeleire is behind Petacchi in 6th place, but has some energy left, while the otehrs (Howard, Haedo, Gavazzi) start to fade.
Mark Cavendish wins the first race for his new team Sky. It's a better start of the season than last year (when he won his first race in June), probably the rainbow jersey gives him wings! Alessandro Petacchi gets a 2nd place, and Jens Keukeleire gives us a great reason to smile with the 3rd place.

The winner
Word from the DS
I think this was the best possible result for us in the 1st stage. Keukeleire isn't capable of winning from Cavendish and Petacchi, but on a bad day for them, they can get defeated by Keukeleire. So we remain hope, but to be honest, will be satisfied with 3rd places.
