To me it mostly seemed like Yates is comfortably the second best climber in the race. Luckily for the other teams he isn't riding for his own ambitions.

You know, I think now I'm finally confident we have the race in the bag. Unbelievable.
Now for the crash and the tumble to 11th place in GC..
On that note, our unexpected team leader is actually doing quite well. I still would have prefered to see the team ride for Wellens (or to see him attack and pick a stage), but if Eijssen holds that top 10, I'm happy

Van Garderen, Jesus Christ... Have we ever had in ICL such a dominant performance in a GT?
This Giro seems to become the biggest gap in a GT between the first 2, but that possibly is not the only factor to determine how dominant a performance was.
The 2014 Giro was won by Contador, where he had the Maglia Rosa from stage 2 all the way to the end, taking 4 stages, the points and KoM jersey. Nibali won last year's Giro together with both other classification jerseys and taking 6 stages. The 2014 Vuelta was dominated by 2 riders: Purito taking 7 stages, which is the highest number so far, but only finishing 2nd and Froome taking 4 stages and the GC. I think these are all comparable dominant performances to TVGs Giro.
And there goes the podium, despite his res stat he's started going badly at the end, don't see him making up 2 thirds of the time in 3 quarters of the distance of the stage 13 TT. Still, way above my expectations at the start of the race so can still be really happy.

I'd say the best positioned one which means a lot in PCM though...
Verona just got to Top 20 and now he got kicked out of it, so hard. Definitely the last time this guy ever gets to ride for his own ambitions, I'm done.

Thanks a lot bikex once again
DeGendt has 76MT, at some point he had to give in. Still a fantastic performance, SAP in generally one of my favourite teams to follow this year, just a great balanced squad.

At least he tried to make the attack for 3rd, but Herklotz was right onto him, and it looks like he'll be off the podium now. Still more than I could ask for though
