But if it's a civil right, then churches have to legally give gay marriages, and that is against seperation of church and state.

You still going about this?
This debate shouldn't exist in the meaning that every person has the same value as another black, white, gay or straight |

No, it's a right, not an obligation. I don't think a government could force a church (in the sense of a religion) to marry people of the same sex. |

That you're wrong ?
A government can issue a law on gay marriage, and it'll allow civil unions (marriages) of same sex couples, but it cannot force churches, mosques or synagogues (etc.) to religiously marry same sex couples. |

It would fall under discrimination, just like not allowing blacks to marry in your church.

Marriage for the church means showing intentions to wanting children. Having children is impossible for gay people.

What do you guys think of the enviromental movement the last few years? I wanna listen to other people's opinions before giving my own.

Very, very short version: we're doing far too little, far too late.

Depends what you mean by "environmental movement"...
Global Warming - too often used in the wrong way, two diametrically opposed sides that won't agree until one side is proved wrong by 1)end of the world or 2)no the end of the world.
Climate Change - Its happening. The Earth is warming. It is part of a natural cycle, but human activity has exacerbated the effects and accelerated the process to new levels. It is a serious problem, but its far far too late to stop or reverse it. We can slow the change, but not for long.
Geography student who's favorite physical area is Climate Change. Bring on a debate

You are confusing legal status and a ceremony. You don't get legal protection from marriage by having a ceremony. You get those protections from signing a contract.

That.
And most "serious" opponents appear to be paid more or less directly by companies who pollute much, which is a blatant conflict of interest. |

Ain't that the fact.

That's about the gist of it.
Economy rules the world. Somewhere it went dreadfully wrong, and some day there'll be hell to pay, almost literally! |

It is created by man, yes. It's something that nature has trouble with breaking down, unlike a banana peel, for example. Or dead bodies. |
