Only problem is that all flat stages are quite hilly now. So riders like Haussler and also Boonen have advantages.
Just the last stage is totally flat again.

Then it's the last stage, where you will take the win Wink Good luck for upcoming stages!

Just edited the save quite a lot.
Bbox->Europcar
Caisse->Movistar
Garmin->Garmin Cervelo
Cervelo->Saxobank (Will need about one season when more Danish riders ride there)
Saxobank->Leopard (This way it`s sure that Leopard is the stronger team with Andy, Cancellara...)
Milram->Milram deleting is much harder, could change it with NetApp and
NetApp->Team NSP)
What do you think?
IF you think it`s crap I could also go back to no changes Grin

Also changed the first and second nationalities to make the transfers more realistic.

I think that´s a nice idea! I would change them Smile

Have changed it now as written above.
Most misleading changes in the beginning will be
Cervelo -> Saxobank Sungard
Saxobank -> Team Leopard Trek
Milram -> NetApp

All other changes are just new sponsors without squad changes.

If you don`t like it, just post, I can still change it, but as the 2011 season begins now there are so many new teams and jerseys Grin

So some new transfers.

autobus.cyclingnews.com/photos/2009/interviews/filippo_pozzato_feb09/bettiniphoto_0032782_1_fullalt.jpg
That Filippo Pozzato will leave the Katusha squad was sure for a few weeks now. But he now announced that he will close the classics gap with Sabobank-Sungard (Cervelo). After Hushovd left last year and Haussler after this season he will be their first man for the cobbles.

New Team Leopard-Trek also had to be active after Fuglsang signed a contract with Garmin. Cadel Evans is quite a similar rider and will ride for the new Luxembourgish team. This will be a great team for stage races with Andy Schleck, Gesink, Evans and Porte.

www.esciclismo.com/actualidad/imagenes/vuelta_espana_logo_06.jpg
Also the wildcards for the Vuelta are published.
As expected Andalucia and Xacobeo got one as Spanish teams. Vacansoleil, NetApp (Milram) and BMC will complete the 5 teams.
So Saur, Miche, Endura and United Healthcare won`t participate.

Le Tour de France - Stage 14
Nimes - Digne-les-Bains
img220.imageshack.us/img220/7127/pcm0001ci.jpg
This stage is something in between a flat and a hilly stage. As many sprinters will have problems on the final hill, we expect a successful breakaway today. So we will definitely be in there. On the other hand this could be a good stage for Hagen, Pozzato or even Haussler.
Real winner in 2008: Oscar Freire

img10.imageshack.us/img10/6887/pcm0002r.jpg
Zabriskie, Kreder and Vansummeren in the new Garmin-Cervelo jerseys are doing the pace. We will try to win the first intermediate sprint with Farrar, so no attack allowed.
Unfortunately we couldn`t win it with him and Haussler, Boonen and Greipel took the points. Brilliant tactic by me :lol:

img821.imageshack.us/img821/2279/pcm0003v.jpg
Directly after the sprint a small group attacked. One of them is Lars Boom. After a unlucky break by him he hopes for a better result today. His companions are Willems (Liquigas), Chainel (Europcar), Ljungblad (Omega) and Gerard (Ag2r).

img825.imageshack.us/img825/7861/pcm0004n.jpg
Movistar with Uran is doing the pace. But it`s really slow and so the advance is already at 10min with 80km to go. Looks really good for us.

img189.imageshack.us/img189/9123/pcm0005c.jpg
The advance increased on 17min now and Boom is just 21min back in the overall. He can make a big jump today. But more important for him is the stage win. We will try to attack on the climb.

img194.imageshack.us/img194/816/pcm0006h.jpg
Willems attacked first but Boom and the others always had him just a few meters in front of them. On the steeper climb Boom attacked and takes his wheel. No chance for the other 3.

img140.imageshack.us/img140/3595/pcm0007y.jpg
Boom is by far the better sprinter but therefore he has to sprint from the front. Not the best position.

img192.imageshack.us/img192/5181/pcm0008s.jpg
But he wins it. Willems wasn`t able to overtake him. Great 3rd stage win in this Tour by Boom. This is definitely the biggest win for him in his career.
At this time the peloton is still climbing the hill. Farrar with some problems although the pace is already quite slow.

img709.imageshack.us/img709/1659/pcm0009d.jpg
Haussler wins the sprint ahead of Davis and luckily already Farrar. Boonen lost many points today as he just came in as 20th.
But there is still a big gap to Haussler and Boonen for Farrar. So we might try to attack on the mountain stages to get some points with him.

Oh thats frustrating... But Boom looks good at hilly stages, I am sure he can win one of the next hilly stages out of a breakaway.

Well, it was not hilly but I knowed that he will win at least one stage Grin Great victory!

Thanks.

Le Tour de France - Stage 15
Embrun - Prato Nevoso
img88.imageshack.us/img88/2014/pcm0001y.jpg
Today another mountain top finish expects us. With the Col Agnel a HC mountain expects us. After a long descent and a flat part the climb to Orato Nevoso with 11,4km and 6,9% in average will probably split the groups.
Hopefully Hesjedal can gain more placements. He will need some time to get a good result after the timetrial.
Real winner in 2008: Simon Gerrans

img37.imageshack.us/img37/2995/pcm0002e.jpg
We tried to attack with Farrar for the first sprint, but he wasn`t able to stay in the group in the steep hill in front of it.
So the group was formed after the sprint. Zabriskie is our rider in this group to take more points for the KoM jersey. He has still little chances to win it. Albasini (HTC), Barredo (Quickstep) and Roux (FDJ) are the other riders. Several riders try to jump into this group in the background but they don`t have any chance on the uphill part.

img42.imageshack.us/img42/2770/pcm0003l.jpg
Dave takes the 40pts on the cold and snowy top. He has now 100pts and just 7 less than Nuyens. But biggest opponents might be Contador after this finish and Alpe d'Huez. So we have to gain more points with Zabriskie.

img715.imageshack.us/img715/2237/pcm0004j.jpg
The climb was totally filled with spectators. So the peloton became very long and on top there were several splits.
Luckily we have 6 riders in the first group. Contador, Andy Schleck, Leipheimer and Basso in this group. No other big favourites. So we decided to do a higher pace to gain time with Hesjedal.

img832.imageshack.us/img832/4673/pcm0005h.jpg
The first favourite behind this group was Denis Menchov. But riding solo will cost him much energy probably. He is 30s behind.

img502.imageshack.us/img502/3032/pcm0006.jpg
A group led by Movistar with most other favourites is already 1'30 back. But there are still 100km to go and a long flat part before the final climb.

img257.imageshack.us/img257/4909/pcm0007t.jpg
The group around the 2nd Wiggins is even 6min back. Also Monfort is in this group. This will be very hard now for him as he has not many helpers left.

img442.imageshack.us/img442/5299/pcm0008f.jpg
Menchov and the Movistar group joined us but Garmin is still doing a high pace as there are more 10th-30th riders behind. Especially Monfort could be a big contender for the same placement for Hesjedal.
Also Team Leopard and RadioShack are doing a good pace now for Leipheimer and Andy.

img833.imageshack.us/img833/7236/pcm0009.jpg
With 11km to ride the group starts the final climb. Andy Schleck needs time and attacks. For him it`s really great that Wiggins is far behind. He was his biggest contender.

img155.imageshack.us/img155/1456/pcm0010x.jpg
He was caught later but with 5km to go he attacks again. He feels very strong obviously. But again Contador catches him soon. Hesjedal has some problems now to follow the first 5 riders but is still in the end of this group and many contenders are already gone.

img254.imageshack.us/img254/4821/pcm0011x.jpg
At least Andy takes another win ahead of Contador. Just Kreuziger and Basso were able to stay with them. So the battle for the U25 jersey is even moee close now. Gesink,Le Mevel, Rogers and Frank reached the finish with +14s ahead of Hesjedal and Casar with +28s. Still ahead of Leipheimer,Karpets, Menchov and Sanchez. Good result for us.

img146.imageshack.us/img146/4392/pcm0012x.jpg
One of the big losers today, Bradley Wiggins lost 6'14 and felt out of the top 10. Evans (+6'04), Monfort (+8'51), Anton (+9'23), Tony Martin and Rodriguez with +16'30 are other losers of this stage.
Hesjedal climbs on the 12th in the overall and has already a smaller gap to many guys behind. Hope for a similar result in Alpe d'Huez.

Congrats, this is a great result! Kreuziger looks really strong just like Gesink. But Contador and Andy are in an own league

roturn
Andy`s problem is the 50km flat ITT. Leipheimer, Menchov, Kreuziger and even Sanchez could overtake him with this advance. He needs at least 1-2min more to hold his 2nd. But don`t see this happening in Alpe d'Huez. But haven`t played yet.

Le Tour de France - Stage 16
Cuneo - Jausiers
img262.imageshack.us/img262/6198/pcm0001v.jpg
It`s the second last mountain stage. It goes over the 2 HC mountains Col de la Lombarde and Cime de la Bonette-Restefond. But because of the long descent it will be hard to gain time on the other favourites. Maybe Sanchez or Arroyo try it with another downhill attack. We will try to get into the brake and bring Hesjedal into the first favourite group.
Real winner in 2008: Cyril Dessel

img163.imageshack.us/img163/2995/pcm0002e.jpg
Quite a big group attacked after the start. With Zabriskie for the mountain points and Farrar for the two sprints we have 2 guys there. There are no real climbers in there, so Flecha and Ballan are the biggest names.

img513.imageshack.us/img513/89/pcm0003.jpg
After Farrar won the two sprints and 12 pts he felt back to the peloton. Zabriskie still leads the group climbing the first mountain.

img196.imageshack.us/img196/1982/pcm0004t.jpg
A few minutes later Farrar reaches the peloton and will save energy for the last stages.

img716.imageshack.us/img716/4629/pcm0005.jpg
Quite fast Zabriskie`s pace was too high. Just Mourey (FDJ) was able to stay a bit longer.

img97.imageshack.us/img97/3032/pcm0006.jpg
But on top of the first mountain Zabriskie was alone. With still 80km to go and 12 min advance he wanted to try to reach the 2nd mountain.

img407.imageshack.us/img407/2141/pcm0007w.jpg
Lonely he reaches the start of the climb. He is almost out of power but with this points he would have a nice advance.

img35.imageshack.us/img35/1392/pcm0008eq.jpg
Indeed. He is the first on the top and still 10min ahead of the peloton. Although he is totally exhausted now we can get this stage win quite unexpected. His goal was to win the first mountain and nothing more.

img814.imageshack.us/img814/9839/pcm0009w.jpg
Contador attacked on the top of the mountain and has a small advance now. But he will be caught again.

img130.imageshack.us/img130/8348/pcm0010d.jpg
Just 10 more kilometers. Zabriskie is laying on his bike in the knowledge of a great result for him. There is nobody close behind him. He just has to concentrate downhill and he will reach the finish first.

img141.imageshack.us/img141/7828/pcm0011g.jpg
Totally exhausted he celebrates in the finish. What a great result. Pity that he will leave our team next year as he can`t decide where to sign. He could ask us for another contract every day. It`s up to him.
He will take the mountain jersey tomorrow and hopefully until Paris.

img190.imageshack.us/img190/7512/pcm0012i.jpg
The favourites and also many helpers reach the finish together. No changes in the overall. Tomorrow on Alpe d'Huez will be much more entertaining probably.

Great win there!

just catch up a bit, great wins with Boom and Zabriskie, also nice you got the mountain jersey for Zabriskie =D

Farrar is closer after today's points, good luck passing Boonen and Haussler, it will be exciting the last sprint stages Smile

Finally great Hesjedal is still hanging on near Top 10, hopefully after tomorrow he'll be part of it. Oh, and up to now very small gaps on GC Wink

tsmoha
Great wins with Boom and Zabriskie! And Hesjedal is within reach to the Top-10. Great tour so far from Garmin!

Alakagom
Great win by Boom and Zabriskie. Great ride with Hesjedal as well. Very important 12points for Farrar as well, if that continues he will get the jersey. Now hopefully you will improve Hesjedal position slightly and wait what will happen at the tt, good luck Smile

Thanks all. Alpe d'Huez will be online later this evening.
Hopefully we can improve a bit.

@olabj
Already named Footon->Geox. Forgot to post it in the list. As there are no jerseys yet they still have the Footon shirts.
