Just to avoid any confusion, will the riders (well, players) that abandon the Trophy or racing in general please PM with their decision, too, because it's hard to get it out of the Game Thread as some riders say stuff in the heat of the moment and it'd be bad to take someone out if they didn't really want to
Also, some very interesting reactions to the news, great to see the peloton so alive All hell's breaking loose over an African race, who would've thought.
@Luis Leon Sanchez: I guess that's what happens when the profile has some sand in it |

Great initial take up on the TMM Struiibai Cross replacement. My plan is to get the race done on Monday/Tuesday so you need to let me know if you are racing by Monday. It will be before the Lisbon race goes live

As a peace-offering, all plane tickets and hotel costs from the South African passage will be covered by Coca-Cola.
Sven van Vliet didn't go to South Africa yet, will Coca-Cola pay for his holiday there in the off-season? He missed out on a race as well.

Sven van Vliet would like to angrily insult Coca-Cola, unfortunately his insults are in Dutch and Coca-Cola cannot understand.

Since the whole 'canceled' race episode was/is really fun and has brought yet another dimension to the game, I'm willing to change the rules.
I decided to lift the 1 post/day limit in the Game Thread for everyone. This will allow you to react more to other posts and bring the game even more to life.
Please keep the thread neat and don't overflow it with spam. If so, I'll have to add the rule again, and I don't want to |

This should be good.
24/02/21 - kandesbunzler said “I don't drink famous people."
15/08/22 - SotD said "Your [jandal's] humour is overrated"
11/06/24 - knockout said "Winning is fine I guess. Truth be told this felt completely unimportant."

What? He quit a while ago...
Also, Vague misinterpreted Lachy's comments so much it made me laugh! Supporting the UCI, I actually appreciate him for that, he's the most honorable CX rider there is. He is everything Lachy called him but not for that reason, I think he knows that which makes it even more annoying when he thinks it's about the UCI.

Something in the great interview given by Vague did make an excellent point. The air is a bit poisoned.
I enjoy competitiveness a lot in these types of games, but I must agree that some of the more recent posts have been a bit over the top.
I want to remind everyone this is a cyclo-cross fantasy game. Backhanded comments are not unusual in cyclo-cross, but plain out insulting other riders is not really something that professional riders do, please keep that in mind |

Vague has put Lachy on the back foot by actually responding to something, shame he didn't understand, it must have been lost in translation what Lachy actually meant. Expect a response.

Sylvain might of made the UCI a little unhappy. Read the press release.
EDIT: 9 riders are doing it so far!

I'm very surprised at the big reactions coming from the cancelation of the Struibaai Cross
Let's hope we still have some riders left to continue the season |
