Interesting to see the 3rd week 'peakers' (Contador, Rodriguez) doing significantly better. Still no use against Froome tough, who's peaking all the way from Dauphiné. |

Did I just hear "Alpe d'Huez double could be cancelled"?
As if things couldn't get any worse.
Yep and yep.
Why?
Tony Martin thinks the descent is too dangerous and rain showers are expected

They would only cancel it if it its deemed to dangerous to ride.
But does anyone have a more officiel source to that rumout, because i looked and nowhere have i even heard anything close to that. |

Can someplz plz explain what Froome-bot specialization is???
Is he a climber or a stage racer(even to a point is he human:lol
or is he just the 1st complete rider???
He climbs better than the climbers,he TT's better that the specialist TT(may be sprint better that Cav,Kittel,Griepel in a few years time)

Forecast for l'alpe d'huez tomorrow:
90% chance rain/thunderstorms
56% humidity
7 mph wind
68 degrees (at altitude)
They would cut the first ascent and descent and just finish the final climb, I assume.
It was eleven more than necessary.

Please, no! Don't cancel the Alpe d'Huez double! The descent is the only chance remaining for Contador etc to gain some real time back on Froome. Otherwise we'll have Froome winning his third consecutive summit finish
Btw has anyone ever won every single summit finish stage in a Tour before?

Just heard decent on other side is very narrow with no barriers and farm track road made up only for the race. If Froome follows Contador tomorrow, he is a fool. |
