A bit behind, but great Giro! Very entertaining reading.
Nibali is just a monster in that race in PCM, but Levi rode really well. And Paulinho in 4th...that's a great result.

Lequatre did very well.
I never saw a mass sprint winning that stage ever before.

@All
Thank you guys I never had much confidence in Lequatre, but after doing a good job protecting Impey at the Giro and this 4th place, I think he deserves the honour to ride for RadioShack.
@FreitasPCM
Probably because I changed it to a flat stage. I think it is more realistic, the sprinter teams realized their chances and worked for their sprinters. The breakaway had no chance
9. June
Critérium du Dauphiné
Stage 3: Monteux - Sorgues, 49km ITT
Long and pretty flat time trial. The Côte de La Roque-sur-Pernes prevent the puncheurs lose much time, but the last 25km are flat, so the real time trial specialists can show their abilities against the clock.
Team goals:
- Top 5 (Brajkovic, Paulinho)
- Top 20 (Horner)
Favourites:
Alexandre Vinokourov (TT 77, RES 75, HIL 80)
Samuel Sánchez (TT 78, RES 78, HIL 81)
Michael Rogers (TT 77, RES 74, HIL 75)
Janez Brajkovic (TT 78, RES 75, HIL 75)
David Zabriskie (TT 77, RES 74, HIL 74)
My tip:
Remember the real life winner here? I think it is possible that Jani can repeat his victory...

The first serious time came by the ITT world champ himself
1h15'50"
Kim Kirchen beats Spartacus.
1h15'16"
Ignatas Konovalovas confirms his good shape from the prologue again.
1h14'40"
JoaquÃm RodrÃguez only wanted to limit the damage - and failed.
1h18'00"
Chris Horner still have problems with his shape, another weak performance against the clock today.
1h15'41"
Jurgen Van de Walle was surprisingly strong today.
1h14'28"
Danny Pate was another positive surprise. He finished 50 seconds faster than the belgian.
1h13'38"
Favorite Samuel Sánchez was not able to beat Pate (Obviosly he have problems with his form, too)
1h13'51"
Geraint Thomas finished with the same time as Pate.
1h13'38"
Routinier Jens Voigt was strong today and 18 seconds faster than Pate!
1h13'20"
Janez Brajkovic, our hope for todays stage. He was about 12 minutes slower than in real life, but nonetheless he was able to beat Voigt! New besttime by Jani!
1h12'43"
Richie Porte with a pretty good time, but 33 seconds slower than Jani.
1h13'16"
Christian Vande Velde seems to be ready for Le Tour. Strong race from him. He was even 35 seconds faster than Brajkovic.
1h12'08
Michael Rogers with a similar time than Porte, only 1 second slower.
1h13'17"
Dave Zabriskie, as always strong at time trials. 4 seconds faster than Brajkovic.
1h12'39"
Christophe Moreau showed some strength from past days, only 13 seconds slower than Jani.
1h12'56"
Sérgio Paulinho, now our last hope for the stage win today. A strong race from him, no chance to beat Vande Velde, but 9 seconds faster than Zabriskie, even 13 seconds faster than Brajkovic.
1h12'30"
Alexandre Vinokourouv already showed at the prologue that he iis the best time trialer in the field, so the top favourite for today. Well, he was strong - but not as strong as Vande Velde! Vino finished only 3 seconds slower than the american.
1h12'11"
Paul Voss is not that bad time trialer, but he was way to slow to defend his jersey.
1h16'08"

Congrats to Christian Vande Velde! He looks very strong today, I am already looking forward to see him at the Tour de France. While Chris Horner was disappointing, Sérgio and Jani fulfilled their goal to finish in the Top5 and did not lose much time, still good chances for the overall. But some favourites for the GC failed. RodrÃguez and Antón losed almost six minutes.

Your two leaders did very well in this ITT.
Think you can get a podium and another top10 with them.

+1! How is Brajkovic's fitness at the moment? Paulinho on podium would be great.

Thank you all Brajkovic has a 86 atm (67+19), so he still has no perfekt shape, but should be able to stay in the Top10.

Sérgio in Saint-Paul-Trois-Châteaux.
118km to go. 8 rider (Lorenzo Bernucci from Lampre, Juan Antonio Flecha from Sky, Markus Eibegger, Jackson Stewart from BMC, Matthias Ruß from Milram, Julien El Fares from Cofidis, Tom Stubbe from Omega Pharma and Xavier Florencio from Cervélo) in the early group, about 9 minutes ahead the peloton.
Not very sensefull, JoaquÃm RodrÃguez and Cyril Gautier attacked anyway, with 124km left (at least for the pack)
Group Ruß; +8'44" Gautier; +8'57" RodrÃguez; +9'17"
After relaxing the whole stage, Astana decided to work against the breakaway, with only 67 km left!
Group Ruß; +4'01" Gautier, RodrÃguez; +12'10" Peloton.
Chorges.
Group Ruß; +3'29" Gautier, RodrÃguez; +10'47" Peloton.
Spoiler
Markus Eibegger (Footon) 6
Matthias Ruß (Milram) 4
Tom Stubbe (Omega Pharma) 2
15km to the finish. The front group reached the first slopes of the final climb, and Julien El Fares attacked immediately!
El Fares; +12" Group Voß; +2'58" RodrÃguez, Gautier; +7'51" Peloton.
The final climb to Risoul... El Fares opened a huge gap and continues to build up his advantage! Strong ride from him today, he is already the sure stage winner.
El Fares; +2'03" Stubbe, Florencio, Bernucci, Eibegger; +2'21" Flecha; +2'36" Voß; +3'05" Stewart; +3'19" RodrÃguez, Gautier; +7'25" Peloton.
Overview with 6km to go.
El Fares; +2'58" Stubbe, Florencio, Bernucci, Eibegger; +3'34" Gautier, RodrÃguez; +4'42" Flecha, Ruß; +5'45" Stewart; +6'05" Peloton.
3500m to the line, and the first moves in the peloton! Top favourite Alexandre Vinokourov accelerated, Sérgio Paulinho and Samuel Sánchez followed him immediately.
El Fares;
+3'14" Florencio, Stubbe, Bernucci;
+3'31" Eibegger;
+4'08" Gautier, RodrÃguez;
+4'54" Vinokourov, Paulinho;
+5'14" Sánchez;
+5'25" Group Brajkovic-VandeVelde;
+5'56" Group Horner-Gesink-Porte
2,2km to go, Vino and Paulinho were not able to create a gap.
El Fares;
+3'18" Florencio, Bernucci;
+3'35" Stubbe, Eibegger;
+4'03" Vinokourov;
+4'19" Group Paulinho-VandeVelde-Brajkovic;
+5'19" Löfkvist, Zabriskie;
+5'50" Group Horner-Gesink-Porte
Julien El Fares finished his great solo ride at the final climb as stage winner!
The sprint for the second place. The last escapees vs. the group with the favourites.
Vino finished second ahead of the Liquigas rider Kiserlovski and Szmyd. WEIRD GAP SYSTEM, they get Vinos time, (+3'17"), while Rogers gets his own time (+3'35"). Paulinho finished seventh (same time as Rogers).
Jani was in the same group as Paulinho (only at the back), finished 24th (+4'05").
Chris Horner had a hard day, he came in as 30th, +5'44" behind El Fares.

...but it does not really hurt. Vino is probably unbeatable, and after the time trial, Kiserlovski and Szmyd are no really threats anymore. Paulinho will attack at the next days, at least for the second place, while Brajkovic have to look out to prevent more time losses.

Thank you I am very satisfied with Sérgio. A podium would be great...
We will send a strong squad to Switzerland, including Klöden, Leipheimer, Popovych and of course Armstrong, who has a shape of 82 (72+10) at the moment.
11. June
Daryl Impey and Ben Hermans signed their new one-year-contracts, so they will stay in our squad until End of 2011.
TRANSFERNEWS
Marco Pinotti (Colombia) and Lars Boom (Rabobank) signed new contracts with their current squads. They are not avaible anymore.
Critérium du Dauphiné
Stage 5: Serre-Chevalier - Grenoble, 148km
Immediately going up to the Col du Lautaret. Afterwards a long downhill and a flat section, until we reach the interesting section today: 1400 metres in height up to Chamrousse. With a downhill and a flat finish, the favourites will probably not be able to gain time on each other, but nonetheless they will try it at the final climb.
Team goals:
- No time loss / Attack if possible (Paulinho)
- Defend Top 5 overall (Brajkovic)
Favourites:
Alexandre Vinokourov (MO 78, RES 75, STA 79)
Robert Kiserlovski (MO 79, RES 77, STA 71)
Samuel Sánchez (MO 81, RES 78, STA 75)
Sérgio Paulinho (MO 78, RES 75, STA 73)
Michael Rogers (MO 78, RES 74, STA 71)
My tip:
Breakaway. If they get caught, Vino.

5km... Sérgio is already in sight...
The sprint begins, 2000m to the finish. Vinokourov leads the peloton, John Gadret, Samuel Dumoulin (the only good sprinter in this group), Janez Brajkovic and Chris Horner in his slipstream. Paulinho still 20 seconds ahead...
900m to the line... Paulinho is losing ground...
And Dumoulin pass him, only a few meters before the finish...
Samuel Dumoulin takes the stage win! As only sprinter left, he had no opponents for the final sprint. Never knowed that he is able to get that good over the mountains... Vino finished second, Gadret third, at least a fourth for Sérgio. Brajkovic finished 6th, Horner 13th, with the same time as Dumoulin.
Loser of the day: Kim Kirchen, Richie Porte, Igór Anton and JoaquÃm RodrÃguez lost 3'10" to the other favourites.

A bit frustrating result... if this stage would have a mountain top finish, I am sure that Sérgio would had won. He was amazing, we only can hope that he has the same shape tomorrow, when we will ride to a legendary climb, called Alpe d'Huez.

Points:
1 Alexandre Vinokourov Astana 75 2 Sérgio Paulinho Team RadioShack 61 3 Christian Vande Velde Garmin - Transitions 35 4 Michael Rogers Team HTC - Columbia 30 5 Samuel Dumoulin Cofidis, le crédit en ligne 30

1 Nicolas Rousseau AG2R La Mondiale 47 2 Michael Rogers Team HTC - Columbia 42 3 Nico Sijmens Cofidis, le crédit en ligne 41 4 Sérgio Paulinho Team RadioShack 40 5 Alexandre Vinokourov Astana 34
Well, if Sérgio is not able to win the points jersey, the KOM jersey would be great, too...
U25:
1 Jakob Fuglsang Team Saxo Bank 20h25'19 2 Robert Kiserlovski Liquigas - Doimo + 1'29 3 Bauke Mollema Rabobank + 1'34
Team:
1 Team RadioShack 61h18'56 2 Team Saxo Bank + 1'04 3 Garmin - Transitions + 1'39
With the time loss from Porte respectively Pate, Saxo and Garmin lost enough time to let us take the lead.
Other race results:
Spoiler
Delta Tour Zeeland
Stage 1:
1.) Dominique Cornu (Skil) 3'12"
2.) Lars Boom (Rabobank) +1"
3.) Thor Hushovd (Cervélo) +2"
Interesting: Tom Boonen only finished 9th, +13" (though his prl stat is 78). Maybe he is out of shape and not peaking for Le Tour?
