Good 3rd place for Hanzen. The BMC leadout really was excellent, almost too good seeing how many others were tagging along as well
FDJ quiet but visible at times, which is about where we should be in this race.

It's like the boys don't want to sprint, bring on Willunga Hill already
Good report though

No unnecessary energy lost on stage 1 of San Luis, good enough. Calzone riding in Australia like he doesn't give a fuck. Boy needs to step up his game, grrr
Nice to see Kristoff taking the win.

Great effort from Bennati. Too bad he couldn't get the stage win.
Moser is trying which is good, but it will be hard to get that GC top 5. |

Really pleased to see my big hitters kept noses out of trouble in the San Luis opener - also the startlist whilst with a couple of powerhouses in Henao (fucking Sky again!), Betencur and TvG seems quite light and so with some chances for Arredondo. Not sure how mountainous the profile is - it always looks hill/mountain to me in PCM.
TdU - surprised that one was a straight up sprint but good to see the result. My custom guys just don't like these knarly hilly stages!
ToQ - Ryu Kawasaki getting up there and involved in the sprint is really thrilling - of course Muttley has some way to go - he cannot even get involved in a Qatar sprint a long year ahead then!

Fantastic ride by the whole team there. Stunning work. Adrien just left it too late, simple as that. Kristoff too good in those sort of stages.
And after ICL yesterday, now my EPIC team drops back to do some TTT practice in San Luis. Lovely.

Kristoff
Very happy to already have a stage win so early in the season. Other than that only Caruso in the first group though, which is a shame. |

It would be cool if Calzone would start realising that he's a sprinter. Schröder however does great by picking up another fine stage result. He looks to be ready for the GC fight on willunga hill!

A good profile for the guys, but we seem to have the same problem as Belkin. I mean, I brought a pretty deep sprint train here, but they seem to be doing fuck all. Wasn't too happy with Ewan going in the break, but after his performance I'm less than bothered. Good to see Gerro staying up there and getting some points.

Good to see Aregger on the attack and another top 10.

15/08/22 - SotD said "Your [jandal's] humour is overrated"
11/06/24 - knockout said "Winning is fine I guess. Truth be told this felt completely unimportant."

Don't feel very motivated right now to convert everything to PCM11 just to report on Strade Bianche, so if anyone wants to take over the race that would be nice

I hope someone with PCM13 & PCM14 reports Strade. I like me some PCM11 but Strade Bianche is the race that profits most from the superior graphic style.

So many races with so good reports at the moment. Yay!
One by one now:
- Qatar is going as planned. I'd like to see somebody from the team in a breakaway (maybe Voltali?), but as long as Grawunder stays safely in the pack so he can win the race in the TT, I'm fine
- San Luis is awesome. Schnaidt's second place is more than I hoped for and that certainly justifies bringing him. Though I wonder why Friedemann sets up his sprint and not Belletti who probably had a relaxed day in the back.
- TDU: I can't complain about Kakhi getting 6th, though while reading the report I really hoped for a podium. Plus he did better in a rather flat sprint, so I'm kinda confused here. But he's still well placed for a nice GC result.

At last! Tommy Palmer is our first 'visible' rider, though why our weakest rider goes into the San Luis break I don't know. GC chances already gone there and TDU, which is starting to seem like the biggest waste of our good talents.
@Smowz - at least Matt won the sprint for the dropped riders in Qatar (it doesn't help towards our Top 10 GC goal, but it proves that he can sprint really well which is a relief).
@trekbmc - great first report mate.

@OZrocker
Thanks, but that's not my first report, or do you mean specifically of this race?
