Froome is looking very good. He is now favourite to win.
Because of... a bunch sprint?
Yes you don't do moves like that unless you are feeling good. Yesterday also he was looking good. Way he closed gap. I think he may win this one especially with 2 TTs left
Dan martin also took time on multiple stages, yet he cracked bad yesterday. obviously Froome has blood that allows him to be better than Martin, but my point is that feeling good one day doesn't mean much.
On another note, I just noticed that Hesjedal's beard is gone!

I wouldn't want to be riding with a beard in this heat either. Props to Dan Craven.

It was disgustingly frustrating to watch, but in the end, if you didn't know he had crashed, it wasn't a bad day for Garmin.
Pretty much why I'm satisfied. I just checked the results and saw that Ryder was 2nd, not too bad. Still, he should've won that, I feel. He is really good sprinter among climbers and he might not get another chance for a small group sprint from a group of poor sprinters for stage win. I was kinda disappointed to see he was not the best from a breakaway when I didn't know the circumstances, but for sure it's nowhere near enough what would've been if I had seen that crash during the stage. |

Unipublic logic
The first week was just a mess. There were three or four transitional stages, which you could kind of sympathise with if they were actually transitioning us somewhere, but if you look at the route map (in spoiler) you can see that it just wiggles all over the place with three of the stages ending up nearer Jerez than they started. Cut one of those stages out which don't really serve much purpose to the race like yesterday's stage, then you get Valdelinares today and the ITT tomorrow and re-insert the stage somewhere later on where it might actually be useful as a transitional stage. Everyone's happy. Simple.

Still, basic business sense will tell you that in a global sport, you put a big eye-catching stage on each day of the weekend.
Still, at least there are echelons.

Well, Unipublic obviously has more luck than smarts. Good racing.
