Stage 5 feels more like the normal Pogacar, finishing behind weaker climbers. Will be great if we can hold on to 2nd place.

You know the season is going well when your bad races include a stage win.

Carthy is hanging with everyone as much as he can on these finishes, which is nice. Bears well for races with weaker startlists. Gregaard either had a great day or remains favored in the new version, which is also nice.

That's just so poor from McNulty really disappointing. Even in this field he should be doing much better. I had high hopes for the TTT but also here we're much worse than expected. Let's just get this race over with. |

Dropping riders was definitely part of the plan here. One more stage to defend the podium, but it will be hard.

That Kudus/Pogacar battle should make for a very intense final stage. A huge ask for Pogacar to drop Kudus to win the GC, but not impossible, I'd say. And maybe we get to see some kind of redemption by PHL? |

Not a good placing for us as expected, but pretty small gaps at least. Hopefully we can hold the top 10 at least, and fight to retake Aular if possible.

Good enough stage for us in the TTT. A big effort needed now from Haig to try to make a spot or two!
Thanks for the report!

We lose out on the TTT but not horribly so 4th is within our grasp. In reality, it may be hard to keep Lecuisinier behind and also maybe Haig so we need a great last stage from Morton to make it a decent use of his race days...

What a weird final breakaway, but in the end a great final climb!
Thanks for a lovely race to watch from the CT scene, although I know it's been tough for some.

Bang average from Olivier throughout, and I can't be too mad with him in 11th in this startlist even if overachieving would have been nice.
Have no idea why a GC leader would chase down attacks 220km out from the finish to get his 61MO teammate into the breakaway - did all this testing everyone is arguing about uncover if that is a new AI feature in this edition?
Thanks for some really fun reports Ulrich, have enjoyed the fight of the big dogs even if all of our action was always in the group just behind

Ends up being a nice if unremarkable race for us in the end. Carthy in 9th is solid in a stacked field, but Gregaard in 16th is a great result and sets it up a notch. He continues to be our best value rider year over year.
Indeed though, some really weird stuff going on here with Wellens and Geoghegan Hart just giving up for no reason and Giannoutsos killing himself and his GC to get Cavagna into the break on a mountain stage. Not encouraging signs at all and certainly makes me scared for what's to come.
Thanks for the reports!

What the hell is wrong with this game? Sometimes we don’t have to move forwards, just to move forward. Sometimes moving backwards to pick a game version that actually suit the game is probably better.
Thanks for the reports…

Congrats to Bushwackers on a great race for them!
Also a big congrats to Ollfardh on a big race from Oomen, could be important points over the season this!
Many strange actions by the AI this race I hope Galta stays away from that stuff when he starts racing

It was rather anonymous each stage but Wellens did what could have been expected. Then the final stage he just didn't care and even those top15 points gone for no reason.
Not ideal but hopefully next race better.
Thanks for the reports. |

Maybe it's my time to start complaining about how a 83 MO rider is not given any weightage in the GC fight, and can't keep up on the steepest climbs
Not a great race for us, not even getting a Top 5 in the GC. Depth wise we did fine to get Top 3 in the Teams. Hayter also adding some important points with the U25s win. Not a disaster here but should've been much better. Doesn't bids well for Haig and out survival chances for the rest of the season. Just glad I didn't waste Zmorka here for the TTT and sent him to Paris Nice!
Congrats to BW on the dominant win and thanks for all the reports Ulrich

We made the best out of this race when in hindsight it was a planning mistake to have Pogacar here. I wasn't hoping for more than 3rd so to finish runner-up behind Kudus is good. Perhaps good practice for the Giro coming up, but we'll need to improve in the mountains. Commiserations to knockout with PHL.
It's gonna be wait and see, but ultimately I think we've done well enough to dodge this planning mistake. I've liked what I've seen from Papanov so far, maybe we have a solid stage racing domestique again.
Congrats to Bushwackers on the GC win and thank you to Ulrich for the reports.

Oomen beating PHL is probably going to be one of the highlights of the season. What a race for him! He can get a lifetime contract with the team if he wants to.
Congrats UBS for a massive race and thanks for the reports UU!
