12th and 21st overall from Kukrle and Atkins - what a nice start from this random results generator - better known as PCM22. Pfft

Well, have to be very happy to see Wirtgen taking 3rd overall there! A podium is the established target for this race and at first seeing him up there for the fight in Stage 2 made that feel good, but then not seeing any gaps was of course a big risk. 3rd on Stage, GC and Points is more than a good outcome - just not quite the way of getting there that we expected.

And while from a stage design perspective I am more disappointed that Stage 2 did not deliver as it has done previously. From a biased team perspective, 9th, 20th and 23rd on the GC as well is excellent!

Pleasing first showing from a maxed out Valter too on Stage 2.

And all is well with the MG that roturn gets to open the season reporting an Australian race!

Weird to see no gaps at Stage 2 but 14th for Yatsevich overall is fine with me!
