Great breakaway win for Gesbert. Wish Sulvaran could have stuck with him, but he was strong enough and Gyasi isn't yet. I'm at least happy he was active in the break. Congrats SF!
No gaps there is a bit strange but not entirely unforseeeable. Hopefully it means AKA can hang on tomorrow over the hill.

It appears the start of the season has been us in the background and picking up the minor places. No time gaps means all will be to play for on Willunga.

The stage wasn't raced quite the way I was hoping meaning that it will all come down to daily form on Willunga, hopefully TJ gets a big day there to secure us a strong result.

A few gaps could have spiced up the race a bit but this way the suspense has just been delayed to the tougher stages. |

Shirota doing exactly what I'd hoped for him. Can't expect much more from him, so this is great.

*sigh*
Really don't know what's wrong with Lienhard & Thièry. Both have 77 Ftr, decent flat & hill, good Acc & Spr - perfect for a stage like this. It's one out of just a few races this year where they've got a completely free role, but both don't seem to care at all. If they do the same all season long, that's just a lot of money thrown out of the window. I really can't find an explanation of their passivity (obviously not just in this race, but during the entire 2020 season); their stats are just perfect for breakaways. Or am I missing something?
I don't think Reinhardt will make it over the hill tomorrow, so we'd better try to put Bissegger up front again to try to increase his KoM lead. He's the only one bringing in some minor points in this race so far - which says it all about our satisfaction.
Thanks for the report nonetheless, and congrats to SF - great to see that breakaways *can* still work in PCM 20!

Edmondson was right there which is good to see. No time gaps though which is disappointing. Hopefully he can be up there in the coming hill stages!

Our first opportunity for a win, and Skujins isn't able to secure it. It looks like the curse of poor positioning has been transferred from Hoelgaard to the Latvian, which is disappointing considering his favourite status. Unsurprisingly, we lacked the depth to chase or really support Skujins at all.
No timegaps is a mild concern, but we did at least secure some bonus points. Hopefully the next two days are more difficult, as they have been in previous years. |

Annoying for a break to win, but at least it was genuinely a strong rider who would be deserving. No gaps sucks so hopefully they racing the next two days is hard to shake some of the sprinters off. Strange to see MVS fall so far back, wonder if this is indicative of hoe the game will treat him? Hopefully not.
Thanks for the report!

Not a good stage for us but we didn't lose time and that's a decent consolation.
Congrats to Sykkel and thanks for the report

Good to see Wohrer join the action up front. Not being the strongest guy is fair.
Big win for Gesbert, Assa and Sykkel_Freak, congratulations! No answers, really, regarding the GC battle. The puncheurs really must do a lot on Willunga now. After this one, I'd say it's looking likely we'll have more sprinters than puncheurs in the final GC top 10.
Thank you for the reports, roturn! |

Well, a couple of things:
- Happy I decided against sending Bobridge to his home race. Tough field and doesn’t really make sense to send him to a race without a TT.
- Manninen WOWAWEEWAAA Los Pollos matching Bralirwa with a great start to the season. Good on Nemo
- Afewerki doing great. Top 5/Top 10 is realistically the best I can expect. Last year we didn’t have a sprinter (JvH lol) so it’s great to have a guy who actually participates. And he’s still 3rd overall.
As I mentioned elsewhere, sorry for being a bit scarce lately. In summary I started a new job and I’m writing a thesis so taking quite a bit of strain. But all good! Will check in and comment when I can

Darnit, not even in the second group. I'm guessing De Plus waited to help out Bonifazio. Or just not good enough. Either way, that's our GC gone.
Changed my sig, this was getting absurd.

Looks like my riders hate Australia. Another anemic performance by the team.

Very interesting stage. Manninnen is a beast, and Ponzi still has it.

Van Stayen with a strong ride, Skujins less so. Hope they both will do well on Old Willunga! |

Still waiting for a day that isn’t a complete disappointment. So many bad decisions. Still two days to go so hopefully something can be salvaged.
Congrats bushwackers and thanks for the report
