Well, all the mountains are over and tomorrow is the TT. No real chance to beat Gesink or Cattaneo obviously, so the fight will be to see if Dunbar can take 48 seconds from Bennett and get in the final podium. But won't be a problem ofc if he can't make it. Even finishing 8th would be such a welcomed unexpected result

Little disappointing to see the lack of real gaps here, although can't fault Yates for trying. Van der Sande finishing in the front group on the mountain stage has really summed up just how weird the AI has been, but these things happen.
Now for the final TT, and to see where Yates ends up. Looking at it currently I'd hope for 6th, but anywhere between 4th and 7th is possible - Gesink, Cattaneo and Dunbar should be the top 3, and then it comes down to daily form as to how much Yates gains/loses to Bennett, Denifl and Penasa. Still, after a few nice stage results we should score reasonably well here - even if poorly by our recent standards |

Warbasse put in another solid ride, but losing time on the first hilly stage is going to end up costing him a top ten I think. We could still gain a couple of places in the TT on paper, but I'm not sure how big the gaps will be, and Warbasse has often underwhelmed against the clock. Just got to be grateful to score a little for GC in a stacked HC field. We're in line for a few minor points from Eg and Fabbro too, so I'd say it was kind of a success, if underwhelming.
Thanks for a very well written report!

Denifl hanging onto Top 5 would be a miracle. And our depth scoring is gonna take a big hit as none of them can TT, and we had 4 dudes in top 30. Will still end up being a nice race for us, but the lack of timegaps killed us, especially since Denifl was doing very well in the harder stages. Gotta hope for +5 forms now

Another great result from Gesink. Pretty happy with that. Hopefully he'll be solid enough to clinch the race tomorrow. Thanks for the great report Nemolito!

Excellent ride by Senni to enter the top 10! Feels a bit underdeserved to defeat Bennett in the end, but I'll take it
Congratulations to Duolingo, seems like they did some great planning with Gesink. And thank you Nemolito for the excellent reports!
Changed my sig, this was getting absurd.

We got some decent GC places from Nepomnyachsniy and Gilanipoor by the end. Not a bad race for us, but we could've gotten a bit more without some of the brainfarts
Congrats Gustav, Gesink is as reliable as they come it seems
Thanks for the nice reports Nemo

Another podium - good.
Another 2s gap - bad.
Luckily by some miracle Krizek kept 21st and Carpenter even jumped a few places. Quite a lot of various point scoring will still make this race a success. If only Guerao was better

4th in GC at the end. Not even in my wildest dreams i could have imagined this result for Dunbar here. The guy is absolutely insane and he isn't even maxed yet! A shame Yates had a great day and managed to save his podium spot, would have been amazing to have him in the podium
Together with U25 win, minor GC places for Pedrero, Benito and Roson, and early KoM efforts from Mas, we almost get 150 points from a race where i basically expected a 0-pointer. Very important to have this kind of races when Kudus isn't racing to continue the path to promotion (i already gave up on the title hunt with Farfetch in this level of success jajaja)
Thanks for the reports Nemolito!

Schädlich continues his good form with a 2nd on the stage inspiring David De la Cruz to jump up 5 places on GC to a very fine 5th.
Tatarinov managed a top 30 but sadly we couldn't get a third man in the GC points so only 6th on the team ranking.
Congrats to Gustavovskiy and thanks to Nemolito for another set of very fine reports.

Getting into the top 10 was a goal I didn't know was realistic, but I am very happy with it! 9th place on GC is a great result at this level and in this field I think. Could have been even better if Warbasse hadn't missed that first split, yes. But no matter, a success is a success.
A little surprised that Eg in particular did so poorly in the TT, but both he and Fabbro still grabbed the same 10 points, but in the end it doesn't really matter.
Congrats to Gustav, and thanks to Nemolito for continuing to bring some great reports!

Overall good race for us with the 2 stage wins, top 15 for Faiers in the GC and 3rd in the points jersey for Kump, which really should have been better. Pretty sure that we're doomed for relegation no matter what though, so at this point I'd almost prefer my riders to not do well so renewals will be easier...

I shall never trust Nemolito when Preidler is in one of the races he reports
Oh well, I'll start planning for CT next season

Yes! Gesink you beauty! So much of the season was hanging on his shoulders and he's been delivering everywhere he goes. Thanks everyone!
