Slightly annoying to see an opportunity missed. Especially as a final flat stage in races like this more often than not also tends to be in a breakaway's favour. Fingers crossed Ciolek can hang on to the points jersey.
Good to see Beltran safe through, we really need him to deliver big times on the decisive hilly stage. Fourth place in the GC looks doable, but the podium seems gone, with Dombrowski, Hirt and Sicard in some order.
Thank you again for the reports and the pace, roturn! |

Oooh, I like it! I had a slight hope we’d go for these two stages at the end which seemed so ripe for breakaways, Schreurs did it well and sadly didn’t have the legs, but rode smart to the podium in his best pro result yet!

I enjoy seeing Beltran finally perform for ember! Also, Ciolek still has it on a good day.

Well, that's GC Top5 at the end for Kudus. He hasn't had any top stage results, but a few points each day in the tough stages will do it. Ndayisenga and Pirazzi kinda weak today, losing an extra minute Valens that would have put him ahead of Senni in GC. But it's okay, 5th+20th+28th, with Luisle in Top50 and Roson and Rodriguez in Top100 gives us good depth.
Obviously great too to secure the 1-2 in the U25 standings as i expected pre-race and the more unexpected Team standings. Depending on what Roelandts achieves in the last stage regarding the Points jersey, we could be looking into the 250-point region for this race, that should put us back in the promotion spots waiting for Japan, specially with neither Podium Ambition or Indosat having a great race

Losing my win goal for 5 seconds. This sucks
And with Dombrowski being the only rider to score some decent points here, our top 10 hopes in the team rankings are put to rest as well.

I already regretted not being in this band when doing my planning. It's even worse now after seeing the startlist and results, this race would've been perfect for Denifl. |

Finally! Beltran finally bringing home a stellar performance in a stage race, and also topping it off with a stage win and climb to 4th overall is as good as it could get here. I'm very happy with that!
And thank you, cio93! Must admit it has been very frustrating to see Beltran in general not perform/perform well below his stats/potential, but luckily it's kind of easy to forget when he comes up with this It's also nice to end the season on kind of a high, after having lots of performances that haven't really been as hoped for.
Also a big ride by Sicard to snatch the overall win. Congratulations, CT! |

Ugh. Garby had just recouped enough on GC to get a couple of points and minimize that damage, only to drop out again.
Come on AKA! At least get some points to leapfrog the climbers here!

Great gc result from Preidler here would’ve taken a top 10 before the race.

Thank you for the reporting, roturn!
With Ciolek taking the points jersey, that was a good final stage, eventhough it was another opportunity missed to challenge for the stage win with a breakaway up the road.
All in all, a good race for us, and a late surge in the PT standings, getting away from that relegation danger that at least on paper looked threatening before the final few races this season. Big congratulations to CT for the overall win, and also most definitely to bbl and Carlsberg. Kind of a sensational overperformance to give them hope of survival before Japan Cup. |

Impressive performance of Cristian from the breakaway (once again surprised we have a men in front). And of course, Jurgen with another great sprint. It was hard to beat Ciolek for the green jersey, but second place there is an amazing result also.
5th GC + stage win + Top2 in Points + Teams + 1-2 in U25. What a race to basically secure a promotion spot

Would have liked another top 5 from AKA, but he gave us more than enough this race and at least gets a top 5 on points classification. We clearly gained a little on Lierse. I haven't checked the standings yet, but I doubt it was enough. In any case, it was pretty much the best I could hope for at this stage, so no complaints.
Thanks for the reports Roturn!

Had fingers crossed through the last few stages. Boily losing the lead was expected on stage 6, but with the able assistance of super-domestique Ji, he was able to defend his position high up on GC very well. He was also excellent on the final hilly stage to climb back up a GC position to 6th. This is far-and-away Boily's best outing of the season. I though he would be a decent foil alongside Ji in races like this and Portugal, and with Betancourt in Poland, but had shown little-to-noihing until here in Morocco. With one strong showing, he suddenly jumps up to around the 300 ranking points I'd hoped he would achieve this season when setting pre-season expectations (although 2/3rds of these points came here!).
Balancing this a little, Ji was a little further behind in GC than I had hoped, but obviously it was worth him sacrificing to ensure Boily held up on the mountain days.
Thanks for the reports Roturn, and congrats to the podium dudes. Results here have had a serious impact both on PT and PCT relegation battles, and PCT promotion, with f.e. Repsol having such a fine outing. Final day looms!

We came here with a goal of Top 10 GC which we royally failed. The stage win for Vlasov might be more of an annoying thing rather than a positive with the current standings in mind. Everything helps but even with the most insane result in Japan we won't be doing anything. Japan is our Win Goal so a win there would be super ideal.
But Vlasov have been a pretty nice rider to follow this season as 1.00, so should be super nice next year with him going to level 3!

Pretty rough race for us with Velits once again underperforming heavily in one stage and then being awesome in others. Loved the attacking attitude he picked up when many would have given up, earning him a lovely KOM win and some lovely memories. Another highlight of course was Schreurs' stage podium on Stage 7, ver nice. Thanks to the KOM win it's no disaster, but really we should have done far better on GC and targeted the teams classification as well. Thanks roturn for the reports.

Congrats CT, wonderful stuff from Sicard.
Goss' only crowning glory coming from this race being his 6th to lead the peloton home in the previous stage, bleh. Brenes again slipping into the top-20 in a race he probably shouldn't have. Always good to see! Wasn't able to follow as closely as I'd like due to a few issues accessing the site that must be from my end, but alas it appears to all be sorted now.
Thanks for the reports roturn!
