Oh yes, what a win The team did some great work on the front to catch the break (perhaps our biggest task on a stage like this!), and then a great pilot ride from Jams, getting ahead of the bunch, and Kennett taking over to deliver Tosh to a great win! A closer one than I'd have liked (losing to a 75/70 sprinter as I thought we were about to would be embarrassing ) but a win is a win! Love it, and especially seeing a lvl3 and a lvl2 with such a great leadout! Now for the big one tomorrow, let's hope Velits is at least where he currently is on GC and can push for a podium on Stage 6 if there's much selectiveness!

Is not like you had to do a really huge effort to catch the breakaway, given it was only one rider with only 71 hills

Prologue went decently for us. Cheung, Choi and Shikai all not too far off.
Shikai 3rd on stage 2 is nice, and Choi ST is still good too. Would have been nice if he could have pulled away a bit to get a small gap.
Come on. So annoying that Shikai lost so much time. We really needed a good result from both our GC guys. I just dont see how he could lose so much time even with 71 Hill.
Hayakawa good for 4th on the flat stage too.

I'm guessing we probably should have created a leadout instead of having our guys go for it themselves seeing as we ended up with 3 in the top 10.
If only that was a sprint classic that would have given us plenty of points and instead of being just 1 stage in a stage race.
Zoidl needs to gain pretty much a minute and a half to get into the top 30GC on this TT as he won't get a minute on Tvetcov so I don't think we will take any GC points out of this one.
We could end up with our only points being for leading the teams classification after the prologue but I guess that is still better than a 0 point race, and at least it is C1 points and not C2 points scale so it is a few extra.

You don't get points for leading the Teams classification after stages, only for final result

Plus Chavanne, Aregger and Reza have already picked up ranking points from their stage results.

Well at this point I'm just hoping that Borisavljevic and/or Ganna can get a decent result in the TT. Then I'm expecting either Borisavljevic or Nazaret to attack early on stage 6.

Congrats Jandal! Good win from VDS.
Solis having a tough race so far, losing a bunch of time again here. Bet he can’t wait for the final stage
Thanks for the report!

Well they did
Well done to Henao and Pantano to stick with the larger group on stage 3. Great sprint from Nava on Stage 4. Hopefully he gets better from here. That was a lot more than I was expecting from those two stages.
Still expecting Henao to lose >3 minutes to Keizer on the ITT. A good GC position is still a distant possibility only.
Great chasing, leadout and win Jandal
Thanks for the report tsmoha!

Job done here, fine performance. Probably should have punched a bit higher but I won't be greedy. Tomorrow let's assault that podium - I love Sepulveda and he's done great, but it's criminal if he's sitting there tomorrow

Oh no Novak... It was fun while his run for a Top10 in GC lasted, but now he'll only fight for a Top20 at best. Ndayisenga keeps his U25 jersey, and unless he's forced to work for Novak, which i doubt, Padun shouldn't have any chance to gain time on him. It looks like we could have 2 riders in Top20 of GC, but we'll see

Ah, unlucky to miss out on another win there. Top ride from Brändle though - congrats Bikex!
Hoping for a similar stage to the first mountain stage - inactive and not many attacks. Regardless, I hope Keizer can hang on to his lead after tomorrow’s stage. Also, what a race from Sepulveda! Crazy if he can hang on to a podium tomorrow too.
Thanks for the report!

Chad Haga must be the most consistent overperforming timetriallist ever in the history of the Man-Game.

Henao not losing any GC positions after the ITT is another surprise! Needs to find Pico Basile form to try to move into the Top 10 although a repeat of Stage 2 is more likely. Navardauskas with another good stage with 13th.
Congrats Bikex Thanks for the report tsmoha!

Sepulveda did deliver. Thank you for that! Now I please for two more things. Do not lose time on next stage and do not crash on last stage so I can finally say I did "win" something in my first season here. I wasn't expecting 3rd place, but I'm sure I'll take that if it ends this way. Also Bustamente is 10th which is another great result so far. |

Not what I wanted from Úran. I guess he's ill otherwise I can't explain his dreadful performance stage 3 and his underwhelming TT today.
Chad Haga, wow!

Kiserlovski very consistent, I'd sign for this 7th if I could already knowing there are a bunch of mountain-eating sharks just seconds away from him.
Special mention too to Bogota, wow 4 riders in the Top18, Sepulveda in 3rd, Teams Classification.. I feel bad cause I don't think they'll be able to remain with those spots, but it's being a massive race so far.
Mottin in 9th is a lottery also.. his big result last season came from C1, but I guess it's just a matter of waiting for him to come to form, plenty of opportunities this year.

Great performance from Choi and Shikai. What could have been if Shikai hadn't lost time on the hilly stage. Both would be on the podium right now, which would have been amazing.
