Grats Jandal!
Disappointing stage for us, Simon seems to be injured Think he was our only hope for tomorrow unless we get into a break for once. Oh well. |

Gaimon moves up a place and goes into 7th still with a few others within th top 20 spots in the GC. Hopefully we will get something done in the final stage but even if status quo is kept we can props be satisfied.

Nice to have Van Niekerk several days in the breakaway. Hopefully he can be again in the last stage and gets the point in the only KoM to climb to third in KoM. Apart from him, please end this race now so Gilbert doesn't lose more spots in GC, and we don't even have anymore any kind of depth points. If we can get to 15 points, it's already "good"

Did I miss Cunego crashing? A legend like him deserves better.

I would feel better if he had crashed, but he's just been on a pathetic level the whole season. 18 points so far. I can understand that the game rates Gilbert as the leader, but he's yet to score a point in a hilly classic this season, and only scored a few points in Euskal finishing 13th (and because Gilbert crashed out there)

Wow! Incredibly proud of Hollenstein for stepping up after Vichot's fall, 2nd is an amazing result in this field.
Congrats to jandal for the phenomenal results over the past two stages, what a turnaround in your season
Now for the final stage, I'd take a clean Havik win, nothing too fancy.

One-man show by Roux, cracking! Kudos! Thank you tsmoha once again for hosting a race with great reports!
I can be happy, got shocked this morning seeing my shitty sprinter Jaser being the best help for Uwi in s6. But I'm happy with a Top10, it was above my expectations, and a stint in the leader's jersey was a very good moment for the team (second time it's happened in it's existance). July is looking very good so far, trying to make up for June.

Bit of an anti-climax for us with Wyss. Was expecting him to move up a couple of places. Costa did his part, so something to be positive about.
Congrats Jandal on going back-to-back

Painful but reality has fully set in, Chaves isn't capable of keeping up with Roux/Boily ... Eastman can't match Valls/Pensa. Makes for a rough season when you expect to be winning races, not struggling for podiums.

Congrats to jandal7, great race.
Thanks for the reports, nice read even though not uplifting
For us the most awful waste of racedays, our hope Oscar Gatto under par all season, in this one some profiles should be good for him, but again not even close.
Just to end up (I guess crashing out) with DNF. Was suposed to be our Joker this season, seem more like our joke.

Wyss underwhelming but our points scoring was saved by the stage win and Costa's KOM. We need to keep up our consistency in these types of races till the end to stay in the promotion hunt.
Congrats Jandal on an excellent race. It was long overdue
Thanks for the reports tsmoha.

Ayy, Kaislavuo finally in a successful break. Good for him.
I'm pleased with how this race went, despite Monfort's early stage win obviously tasting for more. Grats to Jandal for the win!
Thanks to tsmoha for the reports - you're literally everywhere right now. At this rate the season will finish in a month or two already... that's just incredible work. Keep it up. |

I was trying the Hail Mary tactic of be negative a lot and see what happens. Works for Isostar
Thanks to everyone for all the congrats, simply amazing performance from Roux to go from 28th to first in two days and claim our first ever GC win! Great team performance by the doms to set him up, even if the co-leaders crashing and not firing prevented this race from almost making up for Andorra in terms of points. Our final race goal for the year (2/4 with two crashed leaders as well ) completed is also nice. I guess we still need a really great load of points from here on out, but I guess we go to seventh from here. Promo could be possible, if Roux is freaky good again and Bennett stays on his bike. Jams leading in Benelux would also help!
Thanks for the congrats and a massive thanks to tsmoha for yet another lovely set of reports - the consistency, quality and quantity you do is amazing. You say that you do somehow have a life so I must conclude that you just don't sleep!

Wowsers, MG continues to barrel along at an amazing rate, very difficult even to keep up. In this particular instance thanks to TSM for the high quality content.
Congrats to Jandal on Roux's victory, not at all unhappy to end up 2nd for Boily, still a great results across the 8 stages for WCC. Good to also see e.g. Chaves start to pick-up points that reflect his abilities.
Across the race, think WCC scored stage points for some sort of top 8 position in all but the last stage where the BotD held on to take all the scoring places (JAC 9th!). Whether it was Vandousselaers in the prologue, JAC and Saulo in the sprints or Boily and R-G in the hills, there was always something positive going on for us. Also was delighted to see WCC take quite a lot of responsibility in both sprint and hilly stages. The decision to leave out any development riders for this outing proved worthwhile in the overall strength of showing.
I was not surprised by Boily's relative 'failure' in the prologue and (relatively short) TT as his TT of 70 is weighted dowwn by 61 prologue which seemd to have a big impact here. On the other hand, his stage 4 performance where he utilised both his good hill and DH capabilities with a pretty much perfectly timed late attack brought a lot of joy to our squad. Boily and R-G's performances on the queen stage (6) of 2nd and 6th secured the same final overall GC result, with Jay Thomson riding with quiet efficiently throughout the race with good consistencty to mop up 19th and another couple of points. Boily's points jersey was the final cherry on top of 8 great days of racing for WCC. .

Great to see Rodriguez joining a winning breakaway, something that i hope he'll become a master later in his career, as his maxed stats suggest that. And even taking his first career point.
And with that ends this pathetic race for us, with 16 points scored in 8 RD's
Thanks tsmoha for the great reports! And congrats to jandal for his first ever GC win. I had more confidence on Roux than him before his two stage wins, so i guess i can have a few extra points for that right?

Haller's puncture in the final stage was a shame, In-n-out were clearly missed at the front of the bunch and probably would have been a difference maker in terms of catching the break, and we got robbed of another Haller/Salleh showdown which I always look forward to.
Zoidl performed a little under expectations here, as I expected a top 10 GC and was hoping for a top 5 GC, I think missing out on the leaders Jersey after the TT was crucial as it would have given him extra motivation to hang on longer on stage 6 and he probably would have kept a top 10 GC if that was the case.
At least Chavanne delivered the goods early on and took the opening prologue as expected.
