Minimum acceptable result for Gastauer there. So much for Goos' minor GC aspirations.

I recently discovered that riders can abandon the race even if nothing has apparently happened to them. In one race i've reported (not posted yet) a rider suddenly gave up, and when watching the replay, he just pull out of the race without any crash
Yup, has happened to me too, even outside of MG.
It's still a crash. There's never been an animation for crashing and being too injured to continue.

This was the stage where Mohoric and Quevedo had to attack after the let-down, but they didn't like this another awful stage, where Brändle also for no reason couldn't hang on to the group of favourites. 0 pointer?

Solid 2nd from TVG. Gained some time back, and still has a shot at the Top 3. Pesky Sagen steals the spotlight, but we should just be worried about getting more points than EBH here.

Sagan just can't stop himself, can he? There have been a good amount of crashes so far this season. Jayco is tumbling down every week or so, what a shame. Euskaltel have had it worse than them in this stage, feel bad for them.

Holy shit my team actually won the TTT in a PTHC event the absolute madmen! Definitely one of our greatest ever performances, and certainly the reason why I keep developing the TTT core instead of getting frustrated at how random TTs can be. Shame Ulissi couldn't hang in with the other guys for longer, but that was supposed to just happen, this win will bring in a lot of points either way.
Rolland on the other hand, wtfff wow, what kind of performance was that in stage 2! That GC leader bonus is huge and certainly noticeable when a 70 hi guy can finish ahead of a group full of 80-83 hi guys. That's ridiculous. Good performance by Ulissi in the hilly stage too, could see him getting a GC top 20 all things considered with our guys all staying around there. Great race so far.
Also thrilled to see Goldstein and Marchewka helping Porto so much! Thanks Abhishek and well holy shit Sagan this year is incredible.

Wow. Just, wow. This is getting Bewley-esque.

Sagan has become unbeatable it seems. If he, and Bewley continues to win every race they ride (except for when crashing), 2nd is the best we can fight for.
Congrats Roman. Inventing Sagan will be the key to finally winning the PT :-)
You are right about this, if Sagan somehow continues this type of Bewleying his competition than it is game over. Thank you mate, but you are still really close in the standings and you will have much stronger GTs and mountain part of the season than my team, and you will likely profit from sending your leaders to PTHC races too. Should be much closer this year though.

Sagan almost as annoying as in real life Gratz Roman.
Thank you Shonak! Thankfully in this world MGUCI or MGASO does not have the ability to ban him from a race for being too good!
I have no idea either! Maybe just an amazing amount of good luck for great days of day form? Who knows.

And Sagan just continues to impress. Congratulations again, Roman!
Thank you mate! Getting just ridiculous, how the hell he is able to regularly beat guys like EBH now?!

I think that Sagan's OP can be explained by his monster downhill stat (in comparision with the other puncheurs). For me, downhill is key for a puncheur, and most of the top puncheur are in the 62-68 range, while Sagan has 78.
Moser seems to have the best cobbler (and also top3 sprinter) and the top puncheur this season. Big congrats to Roman for creating these two monsters!
Probably has to do mainly with his downhill and acceleration stat combo, yeah. He overachieved already a few seasons ago when he used his downhill stat to an advantage. Now when I trained Sagan's HIL stat, he seems to be a real star. Still I am surprised and don't believe this is something sustainable, don't believe Sagan is suddenly able to regularly beat riders like Ponzi or EBH. I don't think Sagan has a realistic chance against them in Ardennes. In any case, big thanks! Really happy with the team I have created in the last few years!
Thank you, tastasol! Still fully expect you take the overall win from here with the best puncheur though.
And also thanks to Abhishek for the report!

Nothing to do here.... Poljanski loses 11 minutes and the team has no interest in joining the breakaway. So 5 wasted RD's of nothing coming up. I did expect this, but still damn frustrating

Wow what a stage, the italian puncheurs went wild and ripped the peloton really apart. Glad that Bakelants keeps on performing on a very high level. He's also backed up a solid team performance, indicated by currently leading the team classification. Hoping things continue to look bright for us and we keep the podium close to us. Gratz doubledekker, well deserveds victory and Ginanni looks prime for the classics with all those stage wins so far. Thanks for report, Abi. I love two stages per day.

Well, even though losing yellow jersey is never an ideal moment, this is not actually that bad. Staying around in the fight for podium places, while the next stage should hopefully suit Sagan a little bit more again. Congrats to DubbelDekker!

That was much better from Beltran, and good to see Hoelgaard try something before the final kilometers.
Hopefully we can keep up like this, and maybe even show ourselvesin a breakaway
Also a huge GC shake up thanks to Ginanni's sensational pace on the final kilometers. Deserved the stage win in such a quality field, congratulations, DubbelDekker! Suddenly also all the big guns are well positioned thinking of the GC, though, Trofimov must still fancy his chances considering the TT to come, while Bobridge probably needs an over-performance on stage 4 to be in touch with the GC win after the TT.
And thank you for the report and the pace they're coming with, AbhishekLFC. |

wait what? seems like finally my riders listened to me Navardauskas very good on the stage, Mohoric where he was to expect, but benefitting from very bad days of the opponence. We need to keep up the aggressive riding, lacking still appearance in the morning break, though all Bazhkou, Quevedo and Mugerli would be perfectly made for that.

Well, getting closer to the lead. A pity that EBH couldn't follow on that last kilometer. GC looks extremly thight at the moment. Hope EBH can take some seconds on Trofimov before the TT. Otherwise I fear Trofimov will be tough to beat
Watson with a bad day, and ufortunately losing the white jersey. Hope he can bounce back from that in the coming days.
Congrats on the win, DD. Great riding from Ginnani. Also thanks to Abhishek for the reports, great quality.

Holy moly - what a report! Brilliant! The only negative I have is that you posted the startlist as table instead of in-game screenshot because then it's much harder to identify certain riders based on start numbers on the screenshots but everything else was perfect.
I'm happy with the stage. Skujins performed how he should perform in the hills - very close to the bests - and gained some time on the competitors. Big gaps help eliminate many of the more allround riders while also some better TTists amongst puncheurs look bearable again.
Great job by Smirnovs - sticking till that group of 11 is awesome - even if he lost a few spots again later. His GC position is great considering the TTT. Siskevicius sadly seems to be injured.
And Bekmanis. Finally someone joins a break. Happens so rarely for my team since promoting to PT despite having quite a few riders who should be perfectly suited to it.
A Big Thank You To All MG Reporters!

Oh and by the way: Quevedo in his third hilly race, yet he is still to make it over the half of the race without an injury.

I feel I have to write two things after things after this report...
Firstly, this is one the best stages/classics I've raced for MG so far, if not the best!
Secondly, a small apology to Roman for posting stage 3 almost immediately after he acknowledged the congratulations for stage 2. I saw your post after the stage was already up, and then it was too late!
