Now for last stage, where we will have to defend the 4th place instead of going crazy and lose it all. As predicted I think Uran will win this one and Roche is doing a fine job, but I know somewhere along the lines he could've won this race.

Hoped for a much better TT, but there is still room for a race-saving last stage. Ideal would be a crazy day out by Jocelin Maillet for stage and KOM victory. Really expect there is something left in store for us... otherwise the whole trip to Catalunya would feel like unfinished business.

Didn't see that coming, first stage win of the season and third in total. Would be great if Bibby could hang on for 2nd, looking at the profile I hope for something like Stage 3 which seemed to be similar in difficulty. Pinot down in 32nd is disappointing, so I hope he goes for the KoM on the final stage. |

As always, TTs after mountain stages are impossible for pure TTists.
Still pretty dissapointing race overall missing out on the win we were after + a decent GC-placement for Ablenado.
Aybowan continue their very solid points-scoring so far this season. Nice redemption for Bibby

Nice and active race from some of the bhoys, decent sprinting too. Compared to a stage 1-2 and a fulfilled goal here last year really nothing to write home about though.

Nicely done again, Matt!
Some good showings in the TT, Contador limits losses well. I spy 4 riders in the GC he should pass, all down to stage 6.
C'mon +5: show me your pretty little face! |

Kwok did alright and Shikai actually better than I thought, Shikai in 5th now, so overall a not bad stage!

Surprised to see Bibby win, but that makes things interesting! Congrats jph. Uran should win the overall comfortably tomorrow, bar a disater. Denifl has beeen very underwhelming so far, maybe he can apply some pressure tomorrow?
Intxausti with a good effort considering he's injured. Can only wonder 'what if' looking back at this trainwreck of a race for us now.
Thanks for the report Matt, anyone who can make ITT's that interesting are Gods among men

Strange looking last finish. As said, final climb may hadn't been steep enough.
It concludes our worst stage race of the young season. We still had a few spotlight moments, but all in all we most likely won't return next year. Pointswise the trip to Catalunya has always been a step backwards.
Gratz to Coldeportes, looked like laid-back racing by Úran.
Thanks to matt for the great reports!

Good stuff, Matt.
Worst race of the season by us, hoped for slitghtly more.
Congratz stromeon and jph, brilliant race for both. Expected performance from Uran, but what about Bibby and Neppo, huge performances!

Great reports Matt, much appreciated!
Incredible race for us. Bibby did brilliantly to take 2nd, and Yates and Gallopin taking 13th and 20th respectively was completely unexpected. Add in some amazing stage results - 2 wins and 5 podiums in total - plus the points and the teams ranking, making this nearly a 40 PPRD race for us. Still think promotion is unlikely, but I can dare to dream now. |

At least Elta riders showed the shirt, I'm a bit dissapointed that Sella couldn't manage to do something big with his breakaway It was a nice race to watch though

Nice at least he tried getting a better GC spot, but considering the race and how to it all turned out we saw that he could've won if his attacks would've been more succesful, but the lineup was too strong for him to gain leads on those. Bonus by seeing Zielinski in the breaks taking KoM's is fantastic and really great to see!
Thanks for the brilliant reports

At least Paillot was best of the specialists on the TT. That's all I can ask of him I suppose.
Good to see Omarsson go in the break. He has the skill-set to do something if the break would b allowed to go some day. Looks like he is on good form as he also put in a very solid TT.

Matt, thank you! I will bribe you again
3rd is realy amazing for Nepom, that and some good stage results, including Poli's win makes this yet another good race for us. Wonder how we compare to other teams, but I reckon we're fighting for a top 10 at least now!

Don't know. Have to say we consider that race a big disappointment, 6th place in the win-goal race is not good enough - especially with no big attack whatsoever from Contador . Sure there were 4 Flores in the top 20 and two stage podiums, but that doesn't cut it when we were after the win.
Good points mind, easing ourselves away from relegation woes with our 3rd 6th place GC in a row.
Roglic was superb, as was most of the team, putting himself in the favourites talk for the ToA!
Tx, Matt. |

Good win Stromeon! Uran never looked like he had to make much of an effort. He made it look easy.
The fact that injured Intxausti still managed 6th in the ITT and finished with the main group on the last stage makes me sad for what could have been. Our first goal of the season a complete disappointment.
Thanks for the reports though Matt!
