Great reports trek!
Lead-out men seem to be unusually strong compared to the season so far. One sprint train really dominating, with great GC benefit to the team in question.
Great to see Lululemon going strong, after Chernobyl in Portugal, to do their best to keep the relegation battle interesting. Nice performances by Drucker too, flying the flag for Luxembourg with a great prologue and now a couple more bonus seconds. Something for Sauber to enjoy for once.

Stage 3: YES!
Stage 4: Bullocks!
Last stage to decide everything. We should be in for a thriller. Top-notch reports so dar. Can't wait for the last one!

Well. If Bouhanni can finish three stages in the top 10 then why the hell can't Castaneda do something?
Given the team's ardent desire to underperform we don't look like scoring one more darn point this season in the c.40 races we have left. 13 of those a certain Frenchman is leading us, so no points there.
Routing for Miguel's team to do something here as well in the last stage, the South American teams are just not getting a fair deal this season.
Could we yet be sucked into a relegation battle? |

I call bullsh*t on that GC. 4th (on s.t.) and 11th (by 1"), seriously? Goddamn that sucks ass *sigh*
Back to the positives, of which there are many for BLK (strange). 4th and 11th in GC is a great result really considering our season. Nelson really delivered on his skills there against top level competition. Thomas also did what i expected acually. I said he'd been a rider to watch after the prologue and he popped into the Top15 a few times, at his rate of progression another 10 stages and he might have won. It's the extra points that are great, especially as Soupe, Greipel and Kobe vanished yet again.
It's a pretty decent points haul in the end thanks to regular good stage placings and a high GC finish. It shows that we can still be in the battle against relegtion and will go some way towards that end, or at least pulling us away from the bottom trio a bit more. Gotta be happy in the end.

8th, 15th, 17th is definitely not bad at all. Plus a stage win.
But why is the team organizing the sprint finishes for Boom, when Groenewegen just needed one more decent place to pass him. Feels a bit like a missed opprtunity to move Groenewegen closer to top5 while Boom would still be late top10.
Thanks for the reports. |

As a neutral I've really loved those reports, great work trek.
I must say that I had expected the GC to be far more "stupid" after how the first sprint turned out, but after all the best riders got rewarded. Congrats Viking, Ahlstrand really deserved it!

Thanks everyone for following the race and all the comments, my computer doesn't handle the ratings to well so no thanks/like ratings (also I don't want to press it for lots of posts).
This race was pretty fun(ny) to do with all the Ciolek stuff and a bit of the randomness with so many top sprinters.
@tsmoha: Sorry somehow I missed that (tbh the action up front was pretty exciting but not really an excuse ) yeah, he just didn't take part in the sprint for some reason and he was too far back.
@TMM: Just like brewers.
Funnily enough Kobe was rated as a favourite for stages 2-5

Well, that sucks for Gusta! Really tough luck with Avelino jumping from stage-win to losing time and a GC result two (?) days later. I know some managers (*cough cough) tend to state, that they are treated wrong by the AI all the time, but Avelino really let Prio down in at least two key stage races for sprinters now!
Congrats to Swedbank and Puma anyway. Also Nelson finally proved me wrong and showed that he is worth something

Fuck Sake, there goes my best GC result of the season, Drucker had been fantastic up until that point but that split or crash or whatever it was has really cost us.
Same for Avelino, considering Drucker isn'e exactly slow in a sprint, having already got a top 10 on one of the sprint stages here, and Avelino was doing so well in the sprints aswell, even getting a stage win, it seems strange they would both lose time if there wasn't a crash.
oh well I guess we'll have to move on to the next race and hope we can get a result like the one we just threw away some point soon. Luckily Kung is racing in Strava's colour's at Avenir so should have a race like how their season has gone instead of how mine has.

Much much better than expected. My best rider, Coquard, sucked all through the race, but my 2nd tiers did kinda well in the GC, because of attacks. Too bad Kastrantas couldn't win the KOM jersey

Well, congrats viking. I think Ahlstrand gathers a lot of sympathy from most managers, so I'm sure everyone respects this victory.
Also thanks for the sympathy towards Avelino. He and Drucker surely messed it all up, but that's all it takes in races of this kind. One bad day and you're history.
But let's forget all about that, there is something everyone should be celebrating: 4th place in the KoM competition for all our guys!!!

Exaggeration there, I would love to have had the 'luck' Prio have had this season. Though that says more about my team then there's! The lack of Avellino and Costa in the big races has cost them dearly.
Tour of America next! Yay ... maybe!
Thanks for the race trekbmc, well reported, great stuff. |

Well, we can't have success in every race late in the season... Hope America will be better, at least we can't score less than 0 points, yet.

Did I read that right in somehow we got a top 10 in the GC! Heck yea we will take that result, this could have been much worse. At least we were aggressive in the last few stages, though our guys tended to get dropped pretty easily by the breakaway...
Thanks for the reports!

A bit chaotic last stage, felt like there where Swedbank riders all over the place with no real strategy to help Ahlstrand .
Wow, what an amazing race this turned out to be for us!
Much more points out of this race then I ever could imagine.
Thanks for the congratulations!
Feels sorry for you there gusta with Avelino suddenly stops racing like that.
Last but not least thanks for very good reporting trekbmc, |

Bouhanni with a good race and same can be said for the rest of my team.
4 Top 10s leading to a 6th place in the GC for Nacer as well as 6th in Points and 2nd in U25. Vaugrenard with a nice KOM win which is useful and Bonnet also with a decent GC.
Thanks for the reports!
