Crashes....
Well it could have been worse for us. I just hope Castaneda isn't injured, but his finishing place says otherwise. Getting in the break was a good sign. Big shame for Euskaltel though. |

Renshaw....I am still laughing.
Best decision by sutty to not send Cavendish here then.
This is just great. |

well congrats to sutty then, two underdogs gaining stage wins here, although it did mean that we missed out on another wim
GC is really close and I hope that Rowe can grab an unlikely podium here, looking forward to tonight's stage

First heartattack: Vantomme crashing and possibly taking GC damage
Second heartattack: Break winning and taking the GC by storm.
I am totally content with the result now.
Wtf Renshaw.

Sorry for my lack of posts so far had an exam yesterday.
I sent of course my strongest sprinters involving Kip here, but due to his weak support stats, I expected not more than some Top 5 finishes. Also I sent some of my stronger breakaway riders in Boonratanathanakorn and Sirironnachai here, hoping to be in a potentially deciding break and also be in contention for the KoM jersey. In the first stages that worked well, with Boon.. securing some points, but then we shamefully missed out on the break on the most deciding stage for KoMs with a cat 2 hill.
Kip started weaker than what I hoped for here on the first day even missing the top 10 and an 8th on day 2. After that something happened and he delivered two very surprising second places, once even missing out close, which is way more than I could've hoped for. Now he is 4th in GC only 11 seconds down. My biggest fear now is that his hill stat won't be enough to get over the hills in the next few stages.
Thanks tsmoha for some very nice reports now so far. One thing I noticed though is that you sometimes mix up the minishirts if two riders have the same last name. In the last stage e.g. Suryadi. |

well could have been better ... still kupfernagel in the podium is a good result ... if the race is over like this I will be glad.
unfortunately I fear that the next stage will be decisive for a possible breakway win.

Yeah I'm kinda annoyed about Kip outperforming Vantomme in the last stages, Bikex
Was so close to getting him for 50k

Don't know whether to Celebrate or cry, a Great stage win for Renshaw but four riders finishing over ten minutes behind, the team was like bookends today / |

I would be pissed as well.
I hope you'll have to point that out a lot during the season to come.

Damn and then the stage comes where it all ends for Kip.
Nice to see Sirironnachai in the break at least.
Maybe Kip will show his form of the last stages on the two remaining stages now with no pressure on his shoulder anymore.. |

Hmm. I don't like Vantomme's performances lately.
So far so good I guess, Top 5 in GC is the thing we aim for.
Not really content about Vantomme struggling though, hope this is not a follow of the crash.
Kreder still on 1'16 in case the hills fuck everything up.

Nice ride by Kvist and Reimer!
Hopefully the hills going to be tough for some sprinters and Reimer will do good on the last two stages |

That stage - way more selective than I would have thought. Castaneda's top 10 place isn't safe then, especially with stage 7 being the hard one. Have to hope we get into the break, ideally with Maldonado. |

Rowe survived the first hillyish stage, but did not fare too well, hope he can hang on for that top 10 GC at least

What a funny race this has been.
Very impressed with Coutinho. He was awesome in Tachira and is now leading the U25 classification. Would gladly have him take that for us.

Eddie Stobbart with another valiant ride today. It would have a been a massive race with 2 stage wins for them.
Great race for the german sprinters though. Kupfernie and Ciolekster really seem the ones benefiting the most from this event. Only one day to go now.

yes he can
fantastic race by Kupfernagel until this point, it has been just perfect and perhaps the most regular rider in this race, having not yet completed any stage outside the top6.
Really did not expect to achieve two stage wins and being so close to securing the final victory...
Now my boys will do everything to defend that jersey in the last stage
Thanks again for the fantastic work tsmoha
