Bah, another pathetic stage, Nolf again riding for 54 cobbles Ignatiev, really great showing of "PCM 14 can handle more then 1 possible leder" theory.
Only TTT win can save us from total disaster here.
Thanks for the report Roturn, i would rather kill myself if i had to report this.
Reports were done by SN!
I just posted.
And the double leader is working nice. See my team in Tachira for example.
This isn`t the problem here.
I feel that having a TTT here is the issue. This way the time trialists are far more important by the AI as it only sees a 3 day race with a TTT.
If it was an ITT, then the AI should be able to handle it a lot more I think. |

Well, Burghardt lost it in the first stage. 10th in the GC ain't enough, but well.. At least Visconti added a stage plus 20th in the GC.
Didn't expect much more for the TTT with Rogers also DNF in stage one.. Of course I would have prefered Burghardt to at least finish ahead of Rowe.. And those two inside the Top-5 were stupid. Too passive on first day, I will repeat.
Thanks SN for a cool TTT report and roturn for posting it
Gratz to BPost! At least some PCT teams ahead of Oz.

Nice TTT report, thnaks SN and Roturn!
8th is not good enough, but still at least something. Our best rider in GC is Nolf on 38th spot, that is just...horrible. I had nice hopes for this race and it was shattered to pieces. Very bad start to season for Metinvest.
Congrats to Bpost!
Tsmoha: again i feel like Oz gained a nice results here, i would not call 10th in GC bad for Burghardt, given how some of the cobbled guys were fucked by AI. And a stage win is always great.

With dual leadership working, i would think about it as game being able to differ from stage favourites and overall favourites. You should easily have both in lineup and still have other five-six guys nursuring the leader, while the stage favourite goes for the stage that suits him.
Obviously cobbled TTT is big problem for the AI, so this race should be evised and most likely left off next year.

Yeah, kinda agree with you, of course. I was just more referring to the fact, that Burghardt did fail in the opening stage (according to his COB stat and looking at the gap he lost there). I think he could have been capable of gaining, let's say, some valuable minutes/seconds on less strong cobblers there
Of course some others could f**ed hard. So overall we did quite well thanks to Visconti (who's a reliable force again).

I almost never do this but...
This is the biggest win my team has had in any of our four seasons. When I founded the team I wanted it to be super competitive in Belgian races at the highest level. So this feels like I'm vindicated. Thanks for the reports SN.

As i thought before, we had no place here . Looking at it from a 'bystander' PoV, it was a rather strange race; the GC looking a lot different than you would expect beforehand.
Congrats to BPost and thanks for the reports SN.

Terribe AI, here, but at least I got something positive out of it. Kruijswijk in 11th is amazing! Never expected that from him. Teunissen performed below par, much due to his crash on stage 1, so that's okay. He will for sure do better in the next races.
Thanks for the reports!

Well, at least my mixture of time - trialists and cobblers delivered our first win of the season!
Great 5th place overall for Broers. It's a shame Leezer and De Kort lost time yesterday.

So.... Tirreno-Adriatico, Paris-Nice and Classique du Grand-Duché (and Bayern Rundfahrt for Tinkoff-Wildcard)!
Will be interesting to see how the hilly/GC guys are divided in these PT races.
I had a really tough choice to make: Trofimov won T-A in 2011, won P-N in 2012 and 2013, won CdGD in 2011 and 2014. Tirreno has Prati di Tivo and Monte Rotondo so that was a no go, so P-N or Duché...

Odd performances throughout this race - not sure a particularly successful experiment in this incarnation. Congrats though to our PCT brethern for showing up our PT big brothers . As long as the AI behaves in the majority of races, things like this should hopefully even out across the season, especially as PT has most race days. An update of the PT standings aound now might make brutal reading for some though! Hoping that upcoming T-A and P-N deliver a return to some good clean (understandable) racing.

Major plus point Fab is still a player on cobbles, negatives cruddy TTT meant we sunk somewhat.
Oh well we move on from messy race.

Thanks for the report, I liked the "many pictures into one" way to do it
To be honest, I'm quite shocked and very happy about the team's TTT, as I was pretty sure we were bottom five, not top five before the stage
For the GC, Kristoff is obviously disappointing, and it's kind of sad to see Breen loose out on a top 20 due to the puncture on the second stage, but we just got to admit that we don't have what it takes against the best, at least not yet. I'm already looking forward to next year when Breen and Kogstad will be stronger.
Very nice to see Vanspeybrouck run away with the GC. Bpost are amazing on the cobbles, and they showed just that again, big congratulations, CountArach!
Also a pretty result for Azteca and Kentaurus, "stealing" valuable Pro Tour points from the Pro Tour teams. And with the TTT, it suddenly became a nice race for Project 1t4i as well, having three in the top 15, but you can't argue Vesuvio-Accumalux and SN are the big winners looking at the scorings. I'm sure SotD won't be thrilled to see himself being gapped by Vesuvio in terms of points on the cobbles!
I enjoyed the pace on the reports as well, especially as it means we're slightly closer to Tirreno-Adriatico, Paris-Nice, Grand-Duché and Milan-San Remo, all races where we really need to pick it up after a disappointing start to the season. Thanks again, both SN and roturn! |

Being on vacation, I couldn' t follow this race closely.
7th overall is quite good result, considering fact we always lost ground in TTTs in past.
Congratz to Count and thanks to all Selwink, roturn and SN for making this race.

Well must say I'm incredibly happy with the results of this race, little disappointed that we couldn't hold onto the overall lead, but also not surprised. The TTT was going to be a brutal task for the team which just doesn't have any real support for Summerhill yet. But on the stages, Summerhill was just as dominant as he was supposed to be and that is very good for us going forward towards the PCT classics.
