Fair point about the hilly stats and when looking at the OVL of the hilly riders, it looks pretty on point.
About the climbers/GC riders, i used 50 to show the extreme just for the general idea. Like you said earlier, when you order riders by OVL, Schleck's higher RES/REC shouldn't outweigh Spilak's TT/HI adventage when looking at the riders OVL.
Some other examples: Intxausti & Henao Montoya have almost the same overall (0.05 difference), while Henao has -6 in TT and the same MO/HI.
Dekker & Taaramae: Dekker has the higher OVL while Taaramae has the higher HI/TT.
There are more examples but it comes down that the OVL stat doesn't represent the GC riders strength very well. Wouldn't adding statweight to HI/TT when MO is the highest stat help with this even when the supporting stats are higher then HI/TT.
Yes, that's a very reasonable point. But it gets complicated. What do you do with Gesink 81/81, Trofimov 78/73, Roche 78/80, Kwiatkowski 77/78, and those types of M/H riders. Or Phinney with a M/T of 82/83.

Thanks roturn and SN (well obviously mainly SN) for the database.
Thrilled to see many of my suggestions make it in with some nice stats too.
Took a quick scroll through the OVL list, I think the formula is pretty decent - the mountain 85 ites are at the top, though becuase there is a few of them it is probably a bit distorted.
Phinney, Bewley and Trofimov should possibly be a bit higher but they are in the right ballpark.
I was musing that possibly the third weighting should be just based on the key stats.
Spoiler 6 * Max(Mo, Hl, TT {TT - 2 if MO < 75} , Cb - 1, Sp - 5 {Sp - 7 if Hl < 61})
+
2 * Next Best (Mo, Hl, TT, Cb - 1, Sp - 5, Ac)
+
1.3 * Next Best (Mo, Hl, TT, Cb - 2, Sp - 9, Ac)
+
0.75 * Next Best (Fl, Mo, Hl, TT, St, Rs, Rc, Cb - 2, Sp - 9, Ac)
+
0.5 * Next Best (Fl, Mo, Hl, TT, St, Rs, Rc, Cb - 2, Sp - 9, Ac)
Divided by 10.55.
Not really convinced by those results either. I guess Phinfreak, Trofitruffle and BewBastard are good because they dominate their field whereas the stage racing 85 doom patrol are there in numbers.

Not sure about the new average. Looking at Samwel, who got less than 200 points for us last season, it seems strange he's higher that someone like Kiserlovski or LLS. I know his recovery and stamina are high, but things like his downhill, hill and TT stats really hamper him and make him a lot worse than those around him with a similar overall. Maybe it's a case of the top main stat being too overweighted, but not sure.
More all-round riders seem to a bit better off in these rankings as well. For example have a look at Sella and Martin:
| FL | MO | HI | TT | STA | RES | REC | COB | SP | ACC | FTR | DH | PRL | Sella | 69 | 81 | 74 | 66 | 75 | 81 | 74 | 50 | 52 | 76 | 79 | 68 | 66 | Martin | 70 | 81 | 77 | 73 | 77 | 78 | 78 | 55 | 65 | 76 | 72 | 63 | 71 |
Looking at these stats, I'd much rather have Martin due to higher TT, Hill, Rec and Sta. However, Sella's average is larger which I don't understand.
Don't know what to suggest though, I'm by no means an expert with excel. Otherwise it looks like a great job, and I can't wait for renewals and transfers now.

I believe rider ID 159 Paulius Siskevicius from my team did not get 20 XPs he would deserve to get thankfully to his participation in Avenir.
- Also, rider ID 5585 is Troels Vinther, not Vinter.
Rider ID 6286 is Klaas Lodewyck, not Lodewijck.
- There are two free agents named Aleksei Usov, the younger of them ID 164 even don't exist in reality.
- Rider ID 7589 Magnus Cort Nielsen should IMO has Cort Nielsen as his last name, same goes with a few other Danish riders (for example Valgren id 7584)
- Free agent with ID 5771 Domingos Gonçalves is already in DB as a rider ID 847 - under contract in Prio.

Cool stuff!
Uh, what's about the level that CT teams should aim for in the planning? I take it that most top free agents will be (money-wise) reserved for the PT and financial strong PCT teams?

Top leaders in CT are usually around 76/77 level in terms of one of the main stats. Sprint is probably a bit above that, and cobbles a bit below, but generally that would be a good level of rider to aim for. |

Last year's DB is: https://www.dropbox.com/s/9siw6x0drgo...s.xls?dl=0
You can take a look at which riders were in the CT division then, which may help as a guide.

Thanks! 76/77 seems good but maybe I can some even better riders hehe *dream big* That sprinter level last year was quite impressive in CT last season. Good that no Van der Poel is in the DB, so no rider I throw my money aimlessly at.

Will there be any extra riders in the final db? I was hoping to sign some members of what is Novo Nordisk in real life, but I can't find any members of the squad in there |

Great job with new formula. Maybe it´s not perfect yet, still I´m very very satisfied to see one-way riders with cutting down of their RD!

Thanks so much for this SN! I've been really busy the past while and this just makes my planning so much easier. Should have my goals done in no time!

Here is an updated version of the database, version 2. https://www.dropbox.com/s/1w3xc0n3u3r...2.xls?dl=0
I think I've fixed all errors mentioned here - all XP gains are now in place, amongst other things.
ggDonovan is working on a different system to calculate the Overall/Average, which is looking promising so far - but for now the system is unchanged on yesterday.
Oh, and there's been quite a few new riders added / stats revised since yesterday too.

Do Sauber and Rothaus fusioned together to create a new combined team Aegon? There seems to be something mixed up with those two teams

Damn. It is never intelligent to have two different versions opened at the same time
