@SN: That's probably why that picture came up, I should have read the report.
@The Hobbit: If I didn't sign him my best sprinters would be Franczak and Pierzga. So I had to go high in the bidding. |

He would have been a nice rider for me but it looks like you have a good team there, so best of luck for the season.
He would have been a nice rider for a lot of us.

And our squad is pretty much complete, another signing today brings it to 14 riders.
Zsolt Der | Age: 32 | OVL: 73.45 | Puncheur
Zsolt Der is the double National Champion of Serbia, he's great on the hills, but can also climb, time trial and can even put in a good sprint. He will be a super-domestique or free element on hilly courses and a leader in hilly tours, especially ones that consist of a time trial.
Current Squad:
This is my pretty much completed team, I'll sign one more rider and maybe a stagiere, but both on low wages.

Yeah, everybody wanted to have a mini bidding war with me , I was hoping to sign Quaade as well, but I couldn't afford him due to that. |

Zeits is an amazing signing, overall very good squad. With the focus on hills and sprints I imagine you'll get many wins this season... but I hope not.

Thanks, Although I don't think you have to be too concerned, with our cobbles duo.

Fair point, I shouldn't have signed up for band 4 though.
I was intending to have 17-18 riders, but than I got offered Zeits.

And our transfers are complete! We have just finished with the signing of another puncheur and two young talents to ride as stagieres.
Markus Fahnert | Age: 27 | 71.97 | Puncheur
Markus Fahnert is our final full season rider to sign with us this season, he is a great puncheur who will be very important for us in hilly races. He also isn't bad in the break so we may see him off the front every now and then.
We also signed two stagieres, 21 year old hilly sprinter Christos Loizou and 22 year old All-rounder Lukas Varhanik. We wish them best of luck with their first pro season.
Our final team for the season is below:
We will provide a full team analysis once the transfer season ends.

4/4 Race goals are hilly. My goal this season is to complete my goals and get a good budget for next season. although I may have gone overboard on the number of teammates.

That hill team looks amazing for CT level!
You have so many good options there that you can contest every hilly race with a good squad. Especially Zeits is a big star for CT level who is top 5 individual ranking material with good use of RDs and a bit of luck!
A Big Thank You To All MG Reporters!

Very risky with that many C1 races, where you have a higher chance of winning in C2 races. It can end with almost a negative effect, if you want to fight for podiums. Guess your just underestimate your own strength

Yeah Netia might have had a chance of winning races like Azerbaijan and San Luis but will struggle to pick any points in most of those c1 races. Maybe racing more against PCT teams is more of a goal than winning races for this team?
Great calendar layout, hope you don't mind if I borrow it? |

I'm going for a combination of the 'what would the sponsors want' approach and just picking hilly races, might be a mistake, but it'll be fun, so we'll just see how it goes.
About the calendar layout, I don't think I'm being original, based it off that of a couple other teams, no problem with anybody else using it.

Our First Win! Tour de Langwaki Stage 9
The team took their first victory of the season in the tour of Langwaki:
A flat stage, but still filled with excitement, either good (the break), or bad (the crosswinds).
6 Riders in the break:
Pierzga
Lienhard
Jenko
Henttala
Navarro
Avetisyan
Pierzga for us is the best sprinter in the group.
The peloton hasn't quite caught the break coming up to the finish, Kristian Sobota is well positioned for the sprint.
In our humble opinion one of the best images of the season, Adam Pierzga begins to sprint, dropping his companions and setting his sights on the line.
The bunch are too late, Pierzga will take our
fist win, in stunning fashion. Sobota takes benefit of other riders having to hit the front early, but their efforts won't catch Pierzga.
And the other riders can only watch and Adam Pierzga celebrates his victory. Kristian Sobota sprints to 4th in the main bunch to round out a great stage. Only bad point is Dabrowski drops to 15th in GC.
1 | Adam Pierzga | Netia - Norske Skog | 2h37'34 | 2 | Michael Matthews | Compal-Merida | s.t. | 3 | Maximiliano Richeze | SanCor Cycling Team | s.t. | 4 | Kristian Sobota | Netia - Norske Skog | s.t. | 5 | Daniel Thorsen | BelarusBank Pro Cycling | s.t. | 6 | Alex Rasmussen | Carlsberg - Danske Bank | s.t. | 7 | Anthony Lavoine | Fablok - Dunlop | s.t. | 8 | Luka Mezgec | OTP Bank - Slovnaft | s.t. | 9 | Mathieu Drujon | Fablok - Dunlop | s.t. | 10 | Aidis Kruopis | Indosat - ANZ | s.t. |
Thanks a lot to tsmoha for the report.
Also, sorry about the lack of posts, I struggle to keep up and may end up only posting for victories, maybe some podiums as well.

GC for Der Giro Del Capo
The first two stages saw little happen to us, maybe aside from Der laying the foundations with 8th on stage 2.
Stage 3 was were the real action started, 5 riders got away on the climb, Samoilev and Der included.
Samoilev and Der go over the climb first and are away with 18km to go!
Despite being the stronger sprinter, Der couldn't hold off Samoilev and had to settle for second.
Stage 4 saw the early break win, with the main riders coming in as a bunch, but the stage 5 Time Trial was much more exciting:
There's no stopping Der up signal hill and he finishes 3rd, just 2 seconds off Finetto, Samoilev finished 12 seconds behind Der, giving him yellow by just 4 seconds with 1 stage to go.
Samoilev attacks with 9km to go, Der knows he must respond.
Der is 8 seconds down.
Der is still a few seconds down, with the finish line nearing!
Zsolt Der sprints to finish on the same time in 15th position and wins the Giro Del Capo!
