Never would have expected I would score more points here than at the Volta a Portugal. A solid 3rd and a stage win by Ventoso keeps us in the hunt.
Who needs pure sprinters anyways?
Thanks for the well written reports.

A very solid from Aberasturi. I had hoped for a stage top 10 & maybe a GC top 10, but a stage win, 4th in the GC & the young rider jersey is more then i could have hoped for. It's especially important because both Venchi & CSC have scored good here aswell.
Thanks for the reports!

Atlantius - Did that one last year, so can't remember exactly but early on in the stages a big mix of teams always set the pace. Besides, the Live Nation guys are behind the yellow jersey so they aren't necessarily setting pace!
Thanks for the nice responses. Before the end of the week the Bayern Rundfahrt will be up. |

Van Stayen struggled a lot with the positioning in this race, probably costing us the race win. Luckily, Corioni performed nicely on the last stage, bringing himself high enough up in the GC to secure a decent points haul. Overall, I'm quite happy with the race, although we didn't manage to take a lot of points on Bacardi and CSC.

7th is a decent position from Gatto. We need some points from these last races, and I take anything i can get.
