Correction there is another simulation option.
An arrow beside an upcoming event, but nothing that allows you to go to a specific date.
On the positive side there's no reason to stay up all night playing with the new version like I usually do.

I don't think I've seen this in the videos: how does equipment choosing work? Is there still an equipment menu or you can only choose the equipment of "your" brand?

Gameplay is nice. Revamped GUI and career also.
Game clearly has a lot of potential. But it's also very unstable and buggy. Unpolished. Hope they can iron out the worst bugs |

Actually kinda worried by how unstable the game is right now. It's like PCM 2010 level
PCM 2013 I had nearly no crashes, maybe 2 times in 1 season.
Now it's almost every 2/3 stages. And CPU load/GPU load is almost nothing. My pc indicates it can handle this easily
I have no stutters and it runs very fluently in 3d.. just the random crashing at stage load.

Basically you can only choose the frame nad the wheels from the teams official suplier. But the major problem is that you cannot pick a helmet. So you are Stuck with the one predetermined in the DB, like the glasses for example. So no Leader helmets od personalised rider helmets, until (hopefully) they do something about this... |

That's pretty annoying for me. I'm planning on getting the game and I think it seems worth it. The new equipment feature is pretty cool imo, but the reason they excluded helmets was because they said it isn't realistic for it to have a big impact on rider performance. That might be true, but I would like to be able to choose a brand of helmets I like, a leader's helmet, NC helmet or anything of that sort.
Hopefully they correct it by adding helmets, but preventing them from impacting in-game performance of the rider.

Just to make sure, you all do realize that the game has done this before, with the equipment making a difference, however the PCM.Daily expansions got rid of it since as a group they don't believe equipment really makes a difference (or essentially everyone is on comparable equipment).
My guess is as we get going, start getting used to the new stuff, the same things will happen. I'm not entirely sure how helmets will work out, but I do know the files are there and editable so my guess is in time we will be able to customize them as well.
As a cool note, looking through the files, it looks like one of the helmet options is actually just a hat.

Well, not only helmets, I'd like my NC's to have an NC bike aswell! Yet also this is not possible. |

what worries me most is that i have mid-stage crashes sometimes. I never had those in 2013.
The 1.1.0.1 version i have now is really a lot worse than pcm 2013. Not in gameplay or anything. But just the unplayability because of crashes |

In more serious manner, very worrying, as stability is founding stone of every game.

Yeah.. still it's hard to fathom sometimes. Watch dogs, far cry 3, battlefield 4, anything demanding, no problem, never crashes
PCM 2014.. nope. every 2 stages it crashes on avg |

But I also noticed a lot of breakaways winning in career. But that could also be because of the unbalanced DB. (high main stats, very low end/res stats) |

I have a question about the freshness in the career Mode. I have huge Problems to get my Riders in a good freshness even if they didnt race for 2 weeks. I didnt have the Problems with pcm 2013
