Good to finally have another stage, less good to see how the AI performed. It sort of levelled out for Berhane though, beaten by some weaker than him, but beating some stronger than him. Knowing PCM, it will be hard to catch the Top 5 for the rest of the race - needs a decisive Stage 4 since a few aren't much for hills.
Nice to see a former Vesuvio rider win though - didnt expect Cabreira to ever manage a victory

I will skip some detailed commenting on what was supposed to be interesting stage, as it would be too dishonoring to those who bring us those nice reports. Really nice read bball, very good coverage. AI is not your fault. This race has already ended for me and Metinvest.

Well. Atleast the team got some tv-time working upfront in the peloton.... |

Thanks for the report bball. Metinvest is still to be seen in Trentino, i can notice Popovych only in results, when i scroll and scroll. It seems that climbers without acceleration are completely useless.
Breaks 3/3, perfect.

Good effort from my team the lead for another day is always welcome. In the last stage I doubt that Cabreira can keep up with the best but still I think it will end finish well inside the top 10, maybe even top 5 in what would be magnificent

Need to complain more often.
Torres with his 62 HIL stat finishing in the group... That's something I was not expecting. Now to hang for that podium place or even climb up Gonzalo's spot! |

Well, except Kasa, there's no rider in my squad older than 23 and they're all pretty bad to be honest, so a stage win and 2nd position in Points classification (that we'll probably loose, but oh my, not that importnat) is really satisfying for such a race with such a squad.
Nice reports, BBL.

Not the best stage for Maloja, Iglinski lost his Top 10, but maybe that was to be expected on a hilly stage. 30 seconds from that 10th spot, maybe he can do that on the final stage. Will be a tough challenge, though.

Nice that Duarte managed to finish in the first group. Must have been a pretty high Mo/Hill-ratio here. From this position, I think he is capable of advancing further in the GC. If the climb on the next stage is really selective, he might even get a podium.

Wtf, Kimeli gaining time on a hilly stage with 71 hill?
A top ten is on if he can ride like that tomorrow, great performance. |

two stage wins is great. Dat GC result is even better. Great reporting btw. Should be in excess of 200 points for my team.

Popovych has woken up for the first time this year, nice 6th place in nicely reported stage. But i dont aagree with "fantastic ride" words, as this should be usual performance from Popovych. 13th in GC is still very bad, with likes of Cataldo and Marzano grabbing top5.
Also not a single Metinvest rider attacking and shameful 8th place in our strongest discipline TTT. Not a godo race for us overall.
Congrats to Brajkovic and Heineken, very well deserved victory!

This turns out to be a good race, after the disaster that was the first stage. The top 10 was the goal for this race and this was achieved, with the bonus of having won a stage, the second place on KoM and the third by teams.
Thanks for the reports baseballlover312

Well the other days he was a dead man riding and everyone he lost to on the stage, bar 1 guy, is better than him. So I'd say with that in mind it was very good. I didn't mean on the GC, just this stage. He beat most people ahead of him in GC in stage 5.
RIP Exxon Duke, David Veilleux, Double Feature, and Monster Energy

Well deserved victory for Heineken! Brajkovic has been outstanding from start to finish.
Well done by Duarte. Getting a podium on home soil in Italy is very nice!

Stage 3 was a massive anti-climax when PCM AI decided that Augustyn should sit up despite his good GC position. And he still doesn't even try an attack for the rest of the race?!
Oh well. Thanks BBL for the reporting job
